Abstract

Background: Elementary school students have limited knowledge about healthy food, and the benefits of choosing healthy snacks. They do not understand the nutritional value of various types of food or the impact of consuming unhealthy snacks on their health. Students are often exposed to unhealthy snacks around them, such as fast food, snacks and sodas, and other less nutritious snacks. Objective: This study aims to encourage changes in students' knowledge and consumption attitudes, namely replacing unhealthy snacks with healthy snacks that are beneficial to their health. Method: This study uses a pre-experimental method, with a One Group Pre Post Test design to measure students' initial abilities before and after participating in learning activities. The population of this study was all students of SDN 38 Bora, Palopo City in 2024, totaling 151 students. The sampling method used was the Cluster Random Sampling Technique as a sampling technique, because the population was quite large, and this sampling technique is often used in various studies in the health sector, 21 respondents were obtained. Results: The study showed that the average knowledge before and after was 5.90 while the average attitude before and after was 27.76, the knowledge value p value = 0.000 ≤ 0.05 then H0 was rejected using a 95% confidence level. While the attitude value p value = 0.001 <0.05. Conclusion: there is an influence of the use of Video Learning Media on knowledge and attitudes about healthy snacks for students of SDN 38 Bora, Palopo City.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan timbulnya stunting adalah anemia. Pencegahan Stunting dapat dimulai dengan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang anemia. Peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat dapat dilakukan melalui edukasi tentang anemia dalam rangka pencegahan stunting sejak dini. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman serta peran serta masyarakat dalam program pencegahan dan deteksi dini stunting pada remaja putri calon ibu. Metode yang dilakukan adalah menilai pengetahuan tentang anemia dan stunting pada siswa remaja putri. Pengetahuan diukur dengan menggunakan pre-test sebelum kegiatan edukasi dan post-test setelah diberikan penyuluhan. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test yang diikuti oleh 23 responden dapat dinyatakan bahwa ada pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang anemia dan stunting (p=0,000). Edukasi yang diberikan pada peserta dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan diharapkan meningkatkan kesadaran mengenai kesehatan agar mampu mencegah timbulnya stunting di masyarakat dengan cara mengatasi timbulnya anemia. Kata Kunci: Remaja Putri, Pengetahuan, Anemia, Stunting ABSTRACT One factor that can cause stunting is anemia. Stunting prevention can begin with increasing knowledge about anemia. Increasing public knowledge can be done through education about anemia in order to prevent stunting from an early age. This community service activity is carried out to increase knowledge and understanding as well as community participation in stunting prevention and early detection programs for young women and mothers-to-be. The method used was to assess knowledge about anemia and stunting in young female students. Knowledge is measured using a pre-test before educational activities and a post-test after being given counseling. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test which were attended by 23 respondents, it can be stated that there is an influence of counseling on increasing teenagers' knowledge about anemia and stunting (p=0.000). The education provided to participants can increase knowledge and hopefully increase awareness about health in order to be able to prevent the emergence of stunting in the community by overcoming the emergence of anemia. Keywords: Teenage Girl, Knowledge, Anemia, Stunting

Abstract

Gastritis is an acute, chronic inflammation of the gastric mucosa. This research was conducted because there is survey data from the Luwu District Health Office in 2023 explaining that gastritis ranks second among the top 10 most common diseases, and the working area of the Lamasi health center is also one of the areas with gastritis cases. Data from Puskesmas Lamasi from January to December 2023 shows that the age group most affected by gastritis is adolescents aged 15-19 years. The lack of knowledge among teenagers about gastritis and the mistakes in their eating habits have become a common practice that can lead to gastritis. Therefore, an intervention is needed to prevent this, such as providing education, one of which is using a gastritis prevention video (petis). Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of gastritis prevention videos (petis) on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents at SMA Negeri 11 Luwu in 2024. Method: This research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental approach using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population in this study consists of all the teenage students at SMA Negeri 11 Luwu in 2024, totaling 1,015 respondents. The sampling in this study used the Slovin formula and cluster random sampling technique, resulting in a sample size of 89 respondents. Data collection used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The collected data is then processed and analyzed using a statistical program (SPSS). Data analysis includes univariate analysis to determine frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Results: The study shows that there is an influence between the gastritis prevention video (petis) on respondents' knowledge with a value

Abstract

Kepatuhan terhadap penggunaan APD merupakan kesadaran dari pekerja agar terhindar dari potensi bahaya dan kecelakaan kerja yang dapat timbul ditempat kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis faktor- faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kepatuhan penggunaan APD pada pekerja teknisi di PT.PLN (Persero) UP3 Palopo. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode cross-sectional. . Populasi penelitian adalah pekerja teknisi di PT. PLN UP3 Palopo. Penarikan sampel menggunakan Total sampling yang berjumlah 93 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang diisi secara mandiri oleh responden (self-reported). Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat dengan uji chi-square dan regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara variabel pengetahuan (p-value=0,000), Sikap (p-value= 0,009), Kenyamanan (p-value=0,033) dan Masa kerja (p=0,001) terhadap kepatuhan penggunaan APD. Analisis multivariat dengan regresi logistik ganda mengidentifikasi pengetahuan sebagai faktor dominan (OR= 18,486, 95% CI: 3,803-89,849) terhadap kepatuhan penggunaan APD. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan yang baik berkontribusi terhadap kepatuhan penggunaan APD

Abstract

Latar belakang: Keselamatan berkendara / safety riding adalah upaya yang dilakukan untuk meminimalkan tingkat bahaya dan memaksimalkan keselamatan dalam berkendara guna menciptakan suatu kondisi yang mana kita berada pada titik tidak membahayakan pengendara lain dan menyadari potensi bahaya yang dapat terjadi di sekitar kita serta memahami tindakan pencegahan dan penanggulangannya, dan menguasai tata cara berkendara dengan baik. Tujuan: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Sikap Persepsi dan Keterampilan Mengendara Siswa Terhadap Perilaku Keselamatan Berkendara Safety Riding di SMKN 2 LUWU Tahun 2023. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional yaitu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel dimana variabel independen dan variabel dependen di identifikasi pada waktu yang bersamaan. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara sikap berkendara dengan perilaku keselamatan berkendara sepeda motor pada siswa SMKN 2 LUWU Tahun 2023. Kemudian ada hubungan antara persepsi dengan perilaku keselamatan berkendara sepeda motor pada siswa SMKN 2 LUWU Tahun 2023. Dan ada hubungan antara keterampilan mengemudi dengan perilaku keselamatan berkendara sepeda motor pada siswa SMKN 2 LUWU Tahun 2023. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara sikap, persepsi, dan keterampilan berkendara dengan perilaku keselamatan berkendara sepeda motor pada siswa SMKN 2 LUWU Tahun 2023.

Abstract

Infections caused by Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH) remain a major public health issue in Indonesia, particularly among primary school students. This high prevalence is closely associated with poor personal hygiene practices driven by a lack of knowledge about prevention (a predisposing factor). This study aimed to analyze the effect of video-based health education on improving students’ knowledge regarding helminthiasis prevention at SDN 101 Salu Simbuang, Luwu Regency. A quantitative pre-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design was utilized. A total of 30 students were selected through stratified sampling to serve as respondents. Primary data were collected using a structured questionnaire to measure knowledge before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test (α = 0.05). The results revealed a substantial increase in the students’ mean knowledge score from 5.00 (SD = 0.788) at baseline to 7.63 (SD = 0.615) post-intervention. The statistical analysis confirmed that this improvement was highly significant (p < 0.001). Item analysis identified significant improvements across most prevention concepts, although understanding of specific handwashing procedural details showed no improvement (remaining at 50.00% incorrect). In conclusion, video-based health education significantly and effectively improves primary school students’ knowledge (predisposing factors) of helminthiasis prevention, making it a highly recommended health promotion tool in school settings.
