Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying Guided Note Taking to the interest of learning on theecosystem material at VII Class. This research design used posttest-only control design with true experimentalmethod. The sample of this research was 35 students. Based on the result, the student interest analysis showedthat the implementation of learning in the experimental class by applying Guided Note Taking is better than thelearning in the control class that was not applying the Guided Note Taking. This can be seen from thecalculation of t-test with a significant level of 5% with tarithmetic˃ ttable or 11,38 ˃ 1,670; Ha is accepted and H0 isrejected. The result of the average score analysis of the students' learning interest in the experimental class is73,17 while the students' interest in the control class is 58.6, which means that the students' learning interest ishigher than the students' interest in the control class. Thus, it can be deduced that the Learning Strategy typeGuided Note Taking influences the students' learning interest on Ecosystem Material in VII Class. Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of resitation learning methods to cognitive learning results of students on Fungi material in the X class in one of senior high school in Palembang. Research method in this research is a quasi experimental with non-equivalent control group design research design. The technique of sampling is using the saturated sampling technique. The instruments used in this research are a test to measure the students' understanding of the cognitive basis with categories reserved C1-C4. Based on the results of data analysis using t-test obtained results that there is a difference of the second posttest average group retrieved value amounted to 5,328 whereas significant extent values by 5%. This shows that the alternative hypothesis was received and zero hypothesis was rejected. This indicates that resitation learning method effects on cognitive learning result of students on the fungi material. Abstract

Metacognition is a level in the thinking process that students can use to adjust their minds to solve problems, one's awareness or knowledge of the processes and results of thinking as well as the ability to control and evaluate these processes. This study aims to analyze the metacognition skills of class X IPA students in biology learning through problem-solving assessments at MAN 3 Palembang. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research using pre-experiment design and One Group Posttest Design. The sample was determined using purposive sampling of 34 students. Data collection was carried out using problem-solving assessments and then the MAI questionnaire was given to students after problem-solving activities. The research data were then analyzed based on the assessment criteria of problem solving questions and interpretation of inventory values from the metacognition skills questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that students have the ability to solve problems in the very high category on the indicator of making plans which shows that students in solving a problem have succeeded in using their metacognitive skills on indicators of conditional knowledge and planning abilities as evidenced by the success of students in answering questions. The conclusion of this study is that students are able to use metacognition skills through problem solving assessments.
