Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning model of Active Learning type of Index Card Match on student's interest in science class VII MTs. This research is a kind of quantitative research. Sampling in this research is done by purposive technique sampling which considering certain criteria based on the value of both classes taught by the same teacher. The sample of research taken by class VII.D and VII.E. This study was conducted during two meetings with the assessment instrument in the form of a questionnaire (posttest). The questionnaire was a questionnaire of students' interest in learning by shaving four indicators of student interest in learning: student interest, student attention, student involvement and feelings of pleasure. The results of this study indicate that students' interest in achievement of student interest indicators obtained 90.27%. In the indicator of student attention for the experimental class obtained 90.10%. Indicator of student involvement in the experimental class was 89.86%. The last indicator of the feeling of pleasure in the experimental class is 91.55%. The result of the research also shows that based on tcount 4,913> ttabel 1,993 and significance value <0.05, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The average score of students' interest in the control class is 63,205 and the experimental class is 68,805. In the four indicators of interest in learning are interest, attention, involvement, and feelings of pleasure, the percentage of the experimental class is higher than the control class. Therefore it is expected that the active learning model of index card match type can be used as a learning model because with this model the students will be more active in their activities so that their learning interest can grow and be maintained.Keywords: active learning, index card match, learning model

Abstract

Problem based learning model is a learning that is done by confronting students on real problems in everyday life so that students can develop their own knowledge in solving problems and seeking various solutions, which encourages students to think creatively. This study aims to determine the implementation of learning by using problem-based model to determine the effect of model problem based learning on students' creative thinking ability on cell material in the classroom. The design of this research is using Pretest-Posttest Only Control Design design with Quasi-Experimental design method. The sample of the study is 84 students. Based on the results of the analysis, students' creative thinking ability shows that the implementation of learning by using problem-based learning model is better than the control class. The result of this research can be concluded that the problem based learning model influences the students' creative thinking ability. For students, in following the learning with Problem Based Learning model is expected to improve students' creative thinking ability by directly involved in learning in the classroom. For teachers, it is expected to use Problem Based Learning model in learning activities in order to create an active and creative learning process. For schools, it is expected to provide advice and motivate teachers to use appropriate and varied learning models in the learning process. For further research, it is expected to use Problem Based Learning model in other materials, and also can use other learning model. Keywords : cell, creative thinking, learning, PBL

Abstract

Land management refers to land use activities by local community in order to meet the necessities of life. The aim of this study to reveal the management model in Nusapati and its services and to find out about public perception of the different models for land management such as forests, community forests, gardens and rice fields. The research was conducted from May to June 2016 through field observation with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) using research tools such as interview guides. The results show that the four models of the land are used for subsistence either directly (economic and social purposes) or indirectly (ecological). Respondents prefer the garden as a model of the most important land with a score of 34%, followed by community forest with a score of 25% third after community forest is rice field with a score of 23% and finally is a forest with a score of 18%. The results of the analysis show that the average public is it the institution, age, education, and gender has no differences on the model of land that is important to meet their needs. Meanwhile, the community forest is not necessarily considered to meet the daily need given the harvest time is quite long. The plant species that exist in the community lands are quite varied so as to provide considerable benefits for the community and the environment. Keywords: community, community forest, Land management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode problem solving terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Sanga Desa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan Quasi Experimental dan desain yang digunakan adalah the matching only pretest-postest. Populasi yang digunakan seluruh kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Sanga Desa tahun 2016/2017. Dari 5 kelas populasi diambil 2 kelas yang dijadikan sebagai sampel yakni kelas X IPA 1 dengan jumlah 31 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 dengan jumlah 32 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dengan penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel cluster random Sampling Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 2 kali pertemuan di kelas ekperimen dengan menggunakan metode problem solving dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan metode konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil rata- rata post test kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa menunjukan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen 82.00 lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol yaitu 62.37 Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi virus dapat dilihat dari nilai N-gain dimana kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai N gain 0,68 dengan kategori tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol yaitu 0,33 dengan kategori rendah. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t diperoleh nilai thitung = 6.901 dan ttabel = 1,671 dengan taraf kepercayaan 95% (a=0,05). Data tersebut menunjukan bahwa thitung > ttabel, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa metode problem solving berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Sanga Desa pada materi virus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Penerapan Metode Concept Mapping (Peta Konsep) dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Pada Materi Sistem Gerak Di MAN 1 Palembang. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design dengan metode Eksperimen Semu (quasi eksperiment). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 58 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan metode Concept Mapping lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran konvensional (metode diskusi). Hal ini dapat dilihat dari perhitungan uji hipotesis dengan (uji-t) menunjukkan sebesar 2,988>2,003, artinya thitung lebih besar dari ttabel, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hasil analisis peningkatan rata-rata ketuntasan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen mencapai 87% sedangkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas kontrol 76% artinya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol. Maka, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa metode pembelajaran Concept Mapping berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikiri kritis siswa di MAN 1 Palembang

Abstract

Fish as a source of animal protein has several advantages over other animal protein sources, one source of animal protein that is Dumbo catfish. Dumbo catfish fish including fish which is most easily accepted by society. This study aimed to determine the effect of feeding on African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) using chicken intestine and tofu on the growth of catfish. This study was conducted on August 24, 2015 until 24 September 2015. The parameters observed in this study were weight and length. The study was conducted using a randomized block design (RAK) with 4 treatments and 4 groups: feeding by comparing the administration of fish feed manufactured in the form of pellets 100% (control), feed chicken intestines 100%, the feed pulp out of 100%, and chicken intestine feed pulp 50% + 50% Fish test with a weight of 20 grams and 12 cm. With other factors such as pH and temperature equated water. Feeding 2 times a day for 30 days of maintenance. The results showed that there was significant difference between the treatment given to the growth of the weight and length of catfish, feed A1 (chicken intestine 100%) gave the best growth of the African catfish and significantly different from other treatments (P <0.05). Absolute growth of 39.1 grams with a length of 31,2 cm

Abstract

Fish is one of the animal protein sources consumed by people because it is relatively easy to obtain and affordable. The abundant of the fish needs some ways to preserve it, one of them is by making bekasam. Bekasam is fish fermented product which is procesed with the addition of rice and salt. One of the function of the salt is to select microorganisms that produce proteolytic enzymes.The purpose ofthis study was to know influance of different salt concentrations to ward the quality of fish bekasam.The research was conducted in August 2015 in Chemistry Laboratory of Biology Education Study Program, Teaching Training and Tarbiyah Faculty UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The research method was an experimental laboratoryusing a CRD with 4 treatments and 3 replication. The treatments were salt concentrationK0 (10% b/v), K1 (20% b/v), K2 (30% b/v) and K3 (40% b/v). The test parameters observed were theacidity and hedonic test (color, smell and taste). The parametric data for the acidity was analyzed by ANOVA test, while nonparametric data(hedonic) used the organoleptic test. The results showed that based on ANOVA, the different salt concentration gave a very significant different influance (P=0,01) toward the acidity value, that Fcount> Ftable is 26,16 > 7,59. Based on research result, the acidity of each K0, K1, K2and K3 was 1,13 N, 1,00 N, 1,02 Nand  0,42N.Treatment of 10% salt concentration resulted the highest  acidity 1,13 N.While from hedonic test showed that bekasam with 20%salt concentration was the most preferred

Abstract

Aedes aegypti mosquito, which acts as a vector in the spread of dengue disease. One of the effort to reduce thespread of dengue disease is using larvicides. Brotowali thought to have an effect as larvicides against Aedesaegypti larvae because they have the alkaloid compounds and tinokrisposid that can cause death in larvae. Thisstudy aims to determine the effect extract brotowali (Tinospora crispa) against Aedes aegypti larvae of death soas to provide information to the public that can be used as larvicidal brotowali. This research is an experimentwith a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replicates. The samples used were thirdinstar larvae of Aedes aegypti with the treatment A0 (abate 500 ppm), A1 (500 ppm), A2 (750 ppm), and A3(1000 ppm). Observations dead larvae were carried out for 24 hours and 48 hours. The results showed thatwithin 24 hours at a concentration of 500 ppm on average larvae death reached 32.5%, the concentration of 750ppm 55.8%, a concentration of 1000 ppm to 70%, whereas within 48 hours at a concentration of 500 ppm onaverage larvae death reached 75%, 90.8% concentration of 750 ppm, a concentration of 1000 ppm to 100%.Based on analysis of variance (Ansira) showed that the extract brotowali (Tinospora crispa) gives a significantinfluence (p > 0.01) in the death of larvae of Aedes aegyti. Effective concentration to kill larvae of Aedes aegytinamely the concentration of 750 ppm.

Abstract

This research is about ―The Effect of Application Cooperative Learning Model Technique Make a Match Result Studying Biology in MTs ‗Aisyiyah Palembang‖. Based on initial observasion of the result obtained from the value of studying biology teacher that only 40% of students who achieved the minimum completeness 70. This is a problem and need to be treated with the uses of appropriate learning strategies so that these problem can be solved. In this process of learning a lot of communication is expected to occur toward the expected activity and creativity. With that in mind it was attempted to explore the uses of a cooperative learning model technique make a match. Through cooperative learning model is expected to improve students learning outcomes. This research carried on 28 October until 1st November 2013. This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students taught with cooperative learning technique make a match. Sampling of this study amounted to 80 people in the class VIIIA and VIIIB class as the subject of MTs ‗Aisyiyah Palembang. Data retrieval result by using the instrument of learning achievement test (24 items). Data analysis using t-test and obtained tcount 3.98 at 5% level and obtained ttable 1.99, then tcount> ttable, so it can be concluded taught using cooperative learning technique make a match have a significant influence on student learning outcomes eighth grade in the subject matter of biology at MTs ‗Aisyiyah.
