Abstract

Social Studies (IPS) has a strategic role in shaping the character and national insight of students. However, social studies learning in junior high school is often considered less interesting and less relevant to students' daily lives, the argument shows that there are still many social studies teachers who use conventional learning methods such as lectures and assignments, which tend to make students passive and less involved in the learning process. This can lead to low student interest and motivation to learn, which in turn has an impact on the less than optimal achievement of learning objectives and internalization of Pancasila Student Profile values. This study aims to identify the effect of implementing differentiated learning strategies on strengthening the character values of the Pancasila Student Profile at SMP Negeri 1 Kasui. The approach used is mixed methods, involving quantitative and qualitative analysis. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires of teachers and students during two learning cycles. The results showed that differentiated strategies are effective in supporting students' character and academic development simultaneously

Abstract

Recently, the attention of economists has been increasing toward MSMEs. However, no research analyzes bibliometrically to assess the development of the latest research trends in the MSME sector. To address this gap, this study reviewed 471 MSME studies published between 2011 and 2021 in the Scopus database using the PRISMA guidelines for review. This study uses descriptive and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer software to answer four research problems: the total volume and geographic distribution of the study; most influential writers; the most influential sources of journals, books, and conferences; and recent topics. The results showed that India and Indonesia were the most productive countries, followed by the US, Mexico, and Spain. The leading writer is Kharub, M. (India), and the most influential writer is Singh, M.P. (India), which contributes to MSME Research. The largest source is the Journal of Physics Conference Series (Conference and Proceeding), and the most influential sources are Resources, Conservation, and Recycling (journal). The topics that emerged the most were MSMEs, Small and Medium Enterprises, Micro, and India. Meanwhile, trending topics related to MSMEs are COVID-19, MSME performance, fintech, and technology adoption. This paper is expected to contribute to research related to MSMEs and can help researchers to develop further scientific research themes. This paper is also expected to be the basis of a country's government policy in developing MSMEs to strengthen the national economy. The researchers suggest a further review of MSMEs in the future more specifically in one continent, region, or country.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/E3J/v7.i2.202-214

Abstract

This study investigates the attitudes of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students toward the use of local languages in daily life and learning environments within the multilingual context of Lampung, Indonesia. Despite Indonesia’s linguistic diversity, empirical evidence on language attitudes and local language shift at the university level remains limited, particularly in non-metropolitan regions. Adopting a qualitative case study design, data were collected from 54 undergraduate EFL students through open- and closed-ended questionnaires. Participants were selected using purposive sampling to represent diverse ethnic backgrounds. The data were analyzed thematically through coding and pattern identification, supported by descriptive statistics. The findings indicate a strong dominance of Bahasa Indonesia as the primary language of communication and perceived mother tongue, even among students from Lampungese and Javanese backgrounds. Local language proficiency was generally low, with many students demonstrating only passive understanding or no proficiency at all. Although participants expressed positive attitudes toward the cultural importance of local languages, actual use was constrained by limited intergenerational transmission, low social prestige, and the influence of globalization. This study highlights ongoing local language shift among university EFL learners and underscores the need for educational strategies that integrate local languages into formal learning contexts to support linguistic diversity and cultural sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the success rate of entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions through a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data. Data were collected via a Google Form questionnaire, completed by 282 respondents from various provinces, universities, and institutions. The respondents included students, lecturers, education practitioners, business owners, MSMEs, alumni, government agencies, and members of digital and media communities. The quantitative analysis indicated that while most respondents demonstrated a strong theoretical understanding of entrepreneurship, practical business implementation remained limited and represented a significant obstacle. Success factors identified included internal motivation, opportunities for field practice, and lecturer support, while barriers were largely attributed to limited capital and an overemphasis on theoretical learning. Qualitative findings highlighted the need for enhanced project-based learning, active collaboration with SMEs, digital marketing training, and the organization of bazaars that actively engage students. This study is limited by the relatively small sample size, the use of perception-based questionnaires, and the focus on entrepreneurship education in higher education within the context of the pentahelix model. Based on these findings, the study recommends strengthening the pentahelix-based entrepreneurship learning model, which promotes collaborative synergy between universities, government, industry, media, and the community to foster a more dynamic and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
