Abstract

The development of tools for efficient and effective assessment of learning outcomes is crucial in education. However, identifying the appropriate cognitive levels for learning outcomes can be challenging for educators. This study proposes to develop a tool to address this challenge by combining the strengths of large language models (LLMs) and Bloom's taxonomy. The tool can benefit educators by providing them with a streamlined reviewing process and enhancing their ability to assess learning outcomes. This research referred to prototype development models by Pressman. The research stages included communication, quick plan, modeling and quick design, construction of prototype, delivery, and feedback. The validation process involved assessing the tool's accuracy, consistency, and potential to be implemented in real educational settings by educators. The overall score obtained from the validation process is 76.92%, with the highest results coming from the categories of the tool's potentiality. It demonstrates its potential as a valuable educational tool. The insights gained from the expert validation serve as a crucial guidepost for future iterations of the tool, aligning them more closely with the goals of enhancing learning outcomes in educational settings

Abstract

Integrating 360-degree images into a building's virtual guide or receptionist is an emerging multidisciplinary study area that needs more focus. The first bibliometric analysis of recent research on the connection between virtual guides/receptionists and 360-degree visuals is presented in this paper. Scopus examined publications from 2019 to 2024 to determine subjects, productivity, impact, and collaboration. The findings indicate a rise in yearly production, with over 62 publications released in 2023 attesting to heightened research activity. Additionally, more recent papers have a larger citation effect, demonstrating their relevance today. Most prolific writers are from the US, the UK, and China. However, developing nations like Indonesia, Denmark, and Iran are among the top authoring nations, suggesting an increasing internationalisation. The West is the focal point of international cooperation. However, alliances with China are growing. This quantitative intelligence is a standard for upcoming research in this enormously promising field. Monitoring by bibliographers ought to go on as the conversation develops. The field of dental health, which is extensively utilised in the dental surgery process, surprisingly dominates the production of studies on this issue; this does not preclude the possibility of using 360-degree visual integration in diverse sectors. More involvement from marginalised stakeholders is required to responsibly develop 360-degree visual integration in virtual receptionists and guides.

Abstract

Visual literacy has become a central competency in higher education as digital and multimodal communication increasingly shapes learning practices. Although its pedagogical relevance has been widely recognized, existing research remains fragmented and lacks a comprehensive global mapping of how visual literacy scholarship has evolved—particularly in terms of intellectual structure, collaboration patterns, and thematic development. This study employs a bibliometric approach to analyze global research trends on visual literacy in higher education using Scopus-indexed publications from 2019 to 2024. Bibliometric indicators related to publication growth, productivity, citation impact, and international collaboration were examined using RStudio (Bibliometrix) and VOSviewer. Findings show a significant rise in publication output, with more than 177 documents published in 2024—representing the highest annual growth within the examined period. Indonesia, particularly through Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, shows strong research productivity, followed by Texas Tech University and the University of Nevada. Despite increasing contributions from Asian and Western institutions, international collaboration remains limited, especially among Southeast Asian universities. This study demonstrates that visual literacy has developed into an increasingly dynamic and interdisciplinary research field. The novel contribution of this study lies in offering the first comprehensive, data-driven global mapping of visual literacy scholarship in higher education, revealing its publication dynamics, collaborative structures, and emerging thematic directions. Strengthening international partnerships is essential for advancing theoretical development and pedagogical innovation in visual literacy research.
