Abstract

Mustard is one of broadleaf vegetables are very potential to be cultivated because of the high demand of vegetables. production is likely to increase over the use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides excessive. At the now widely circulated one is organic fertilizer vermicompost. Provision of vermicompost on soil can improve soil chemical properties, soil physical properties and biological properties of soil.  This research was conducted in the Faculty of Agriculture experimental station, Riau University, campus Bina Widya km 12, 5, Tampan, Pekanbaru, with soil type Inceptisol, from March until May 2013. This study uses a completely randomized design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 5 replicates in order to obtain 25 units of the experiment, namely T0: without giving vermicompost, T1:2ton/ha vermicompost, T2: 4 tons / ha vermicompost, T3: 6ton/ha vermicompost, T4 : 8ton/ha vermicompost. Parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, root volume, and fresh weight of  consumption. vermicompost fertilizer on soil of Inceptisol significant effect on the growth parameters of plant height, leaf number, leaf area, and heavy consumption of fresh mustard plant and not a real effect on the root volume.   Keyword: Mustard greens, Vermicompost fertilizer, Soil inceptisol.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the influence of interaction between primary factors of trichoderma sp and dregs to N, P, K absorption in oil palm seedling at peat medium in pre nursery. It is conducted from September 2006 to februari 2007. The parameters of this research were N, P, K content of soil peat; N, P, K absorption of plant, shoot dry weight and root dry weight. The sesult indicated that the treatment of trichoderma sp and dregs increased N, P, K availability in peat medium and N, P, K absorption of palm seedling.

Abstract

The substitution of urea with Tithonia diversifolia biomass with concentration of 25 % , 50%, 75%and 100% on corn had been applied in burnt peat soil. The aim of research was to incrca.se absorpiion of soilfor elements needed, to improve the qoality of corn yield. The result of this research showed the combinationbetween urea and 50% to 100"/* of Tilhonia diversifolia biomass could increase the growth and productionof corn. The absorption of soilN, P, K had not atTectcd predominantly.

Abstract

Oil palm {Elaeis guineentis Jacq) represents file most im|iorfant commodity in plantation sector. The problems often faced in oil palm agriculture effort is the availability of quality seed and avaOability ofpotential and fertile soil. Peat soil has some weaknesses such as its acidity (pH) and slow decompositionprocess. One method to overcome the acidity of peat soil is by using dregs and decomposition process can beimproved by applying Trichoderma sp. The objective of this research was to know the influence of interactionand primary factor of Trichoderma sp and dregs application for oil palm seed growth and physiologicalcondition at peat medium In pre nursery. It was conducted from September 2006 to Febrvari 2007. Theparameters of this research were the height of seed, leaf amount, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, and shoot-root ratio. The treatment of Trichoderma sp of 25 g/ kg of peat with dregs of 30 g/kg of peat had significanteRect to height of seed, and shoot wet weight. The primary factor tttdregs had significant effect to height ofseed and at dregs dose of 20 g/kg of peat, white leaf amount and shoot-root ratio at dregs dose of 30 g/kg of pea t.The primary factor of Trichoderma sp did not have any significant effect for all parameters.
