Abstract

Public interest in insurance programs is still low. What is suspected to be the cause of the low level of public interest, especially the Indonesian people, towards this non-bank financial institution is the incomplete information obtained by the public about this institution in an effort to improve the quality of life in the future. Insurance is widely regarded as a consumer product for the upper class who have more funds and assets that they feel need to get more protection. In fact, insurance has other benefits and advantages for all circles of society at large. The problems highlighted by the OJK include unscrupulous agents who are classified as fraud on customer premium deposits, welcoming calls with closed questions, 'unitlink statements' which only cover insurance and administrative costs, and the absence of information on calculating premium returns in the event of contract cancellation at the time of policy. take place. The problems in the insurance industry started when financial inclusion was quite high, but literacy was still low. This means that financial products are in high demand by the public, but their understanding of these products is still low. Based on experience so far in both banks and insurance, knowledge of investment still needs to be improved. In helping OJK provide insurance literacy for the community, this Community Service has a mission to improve Insurance Literacy for the Community in Mangun Jaya Village, Kec. South Tambun. Training on Insurance Literacy will be held on March 27, 2022 for 2 hours. In accordance with the Covid-19 protocol, which limits the number of participants, the training can only be attended by 13 participants, most of whom are women. To be able to see whether the training provided was able to improve insurance literacy for participants, a test was carried out using a Paired Sample T-test, the test results showed that the training provided was able to increase understanding about Insurance for the Mangun Jaya community in South Tambun.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the phenomenon of the flypaper effect on the General Allocation Fund (DAU), Regional Original Income (PAD) on regional spending in provinces on the island of Sumatra. The dependent variable in this study is Regional Expenditure while the independent variable General Allocation Fund (DAU) and Local Original Revenue (PAD) flypaper effect phenomenon is a condition when the government responds to more spending by using balance funds rather than using Local Original Revenue (PAD). This study uses panel data analysis Multiple Linear Regression analysis tools. The population of this study is all regions in the province of Sumatra, which consists of 10 provinces with a total sample of 50 regions on the island of Sumatra over a 5-year period from 2014-2018. The results showed that Local Original Revenue and General Allocation Fund in general had a positive effect on regional expenditure on the island of Sumatra. However, judging by Local Original Revenue province has a positive influence on regional spending only in the provinces of Lampung, Riau, South Sumatra, North Sumatra and Aceh. Whereas General Allocation Fund has a positive influence on regional spending only in the provinces of North Sumatra and South Sumatra. This study also concluded that in general there was a flypaper effect on provinces on the island of Sumatra because the Local Original Revenue (PAD) coefficient value was smaller than General Allocation Fund (DAU).

Abstract

It is generally seen that the number of poor people tends to decrease, and the unemployment rate also tends to decrease slowly, but economic growth has decreased. Therefore, this study wants to look at the factors that influence poverty and unemployment in Indonesia during the 2014-2018 period. The object of the research is to take a case in Indonesia using panel data which is a combination of time series data and cross section, where time series data are from 20014-2018 and cross sections are 33 provinces in Indonesia. The analytical tool used to answer the problems raised in this study is the Linear Data Panel Regression. The first step to do is to issue estimation results, namely Common Effect Model, Fixed Effect Model, and Random Effect Model. The second stage is to choose the model using the Chow Test, Hausman Test and LM Test. The third stage is to analyze the magnitude of the coefficient, coefficient sign, significance test and goodness of fit test (coefficient of determination and Global Test). The test results show that the unemployment model uses alpha 10%, there are variables that have negative effects such as WAGE and Health, while RGDP, POP and EDUC have no statistical effect. The poverty model shows that of the five variables proposed in influencing the level of open unemployment at an error rate of 10% are RDGP, WAGE, EDUC and HEALTH while POP has no statistical effect. The final model shows statistically at a 10% error rate there is a positive influence on the level of open unemployment that has been influenced by RGDP, POP, WAGE, EDUC and HEALTH on poverty levels in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explains the relationship between research variables by testing existing hypotheses. In this study, the authors explain and examine the relationship between the independent variables in the form of financial literacy and perceptions of trust and the dependent variable is buying interest. This study is a quantitative study and questionnaires were collected and processed using variant-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).The results show that between the two variables, the perception of trust can act as the strongest predictor in predicting interest in buying insurance products among students. Then, the results also show that the level of student financial literacy can also predict the interest in buying insurance products among students quite well, although it is still lower than the influence of the variable perception of trust.

Abstract

One of the successes of national development is measured by the increasing economic growth of the country and the increasing quality of public health. A nation's capacity to acquire high-quality human resources in order to produce a sustainable economy is greatly influenced by health. The purpose of this study is to represent and analyze the effects of various factors on Indonesia's economic development, including the percentage of smoking in people aged ≥ 15 years (RKK), the health allocation fund (DAK Health), the percentage of children aged less than 6 months who received exclusive breastfeeding (ASI), the percentage of married women aged 15-49 years (KWN) and unmet need health services (LYN). The panel data method and secondary data from BPS (www.bps.go.id) from 2016 to 2020 are used in this study. The test results show that cigarettes indicator have a negative impact, but the DAK Health indicator, ASI indicator, KWN indicator, and LYN indicator, have a positive impact on aggregate economic growth in 34 Indonesian provinces. With the exception of the islands of Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Java, Bali-Nusa Tenggara, and Sumatra, the results of the investigation in 34 provinces of Indonesia show that cigarettes indicator generally have a positive impact. With the exception of the islands of Maluku-Papua, Java, Sumatra, and Bali-Nusa Tenggara, the DAK Health as a whole have a favorable impact. Overall, the ASI indicator have a favorable impact on economic growth, except for the islands of Maluku-Papua and Bali-Nusa Tenggara. KWN indicator have a positive correlation with economic growth in 34 Indonesian provinces. Finally, LYN indicator have a favorable effect on the aggregate in Indonesia, with the exception of the islands of Sulawesi, Maluku-Papua and Bali-Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

In the current era of liberalization, openness to foreign capital is an important factor affecting the economic performance of a country. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is an important source of capital for developing countries including ASEAN member countries. This study aims to determine the effect of taxation factors, namely tax holidays and corporate income tax rates, as well as non-tax factors, namely political stability and security, regulatory quality, domestic market size, macroeconomic stability, and labor availability on FDI flows in ASEAN. This study uses panel data regression. Research data is secondary data in the form of 2010-2019 period from 9 ASEAN member countries. The results of this study indicate that taxation factors, namely tax holidays and corporate income tax rates, have no effect on FDI flows. Meanwhile, for non-taxation factors, the quality of regulations and regulations, the size of the domestic market, and macroeconomic stability have an influence on FDI flows. Other non-tax factors, namely political stability and labor availability, have no influence on FDI flows in these countries.
