Abstract

ABSTRACT                This research was conducted in September-November 2018. The aim of this research was determine the effect of substitution soybean meal with fermented water spinach leaves(Ipomoea aquatic Forsk) in diet on feed efficiency and growth of green catfish(Hemibagrus nemurus). This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor 5 treatments and 3replications. The treatment in this research was the use of Fermented water spinach leaves (FWSL) meal  in diet different proportions namely P1(0% FWSL), P2 (5% FWSL), P3 (10% FWSL), P4 (15% FWSL) and P5 (20% FWSL). The results showed that the best treatment was found in P4 which was produced 67% feed digestibility, 3,89% specific growth rate, 37,46% feed efficiency of  catfish.  Keywords: Artifical feed, Hemibagrus nemurus, Fermentation, soybean, water

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted on May to July 2017. The purpose of this research was to know the best percentage of fermented feather meal in diet and effect on growth of silver pompano (Trachinotus blochii, Lac) fingerling. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor,five treatment and three replications. The research used fish with initial average weight of 0,9 g. Fish were reared in net cage of 1x1x1 m3with the stocking density of 20 fish/net cage. Treatments with fermented feather meal, P0 (0%), P1 (5%), P2 (10%), P3 (15%), P4 (20%). Feed protein content range between 43,94-46,33%. The result show that fermented feather meal give significant effect (P<0,05) on growth, feed efficiency and protein retentions.This result of this study suggest that fermented feather meal can be used as feed material of silver pompano up to 15% from total amount of feed.Keyword:   Bacillus sp., feather meal, fermented,fish feed, silver pompano (Trachinotus blochii, Lac)

Abstract

This research was conducted from Maret until June 2008, in Big Hall of Development Marine Aquaculture Lampung.The research used experimental methodology, with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The aimed of research are toknow effects of vitamin C to increase a haemoglobin of blood and survival rate and measured effective C vitaminin prawn of humback grouper. The result showed that the highest haemoglobin rate of at PC (2 g/kg prawn), equalto 0,915 g/100 mL. The lowest haemoglobin found at treatment PA. equal to 0,066 g/100 mL. Result of variansianalysis indicate that addition of vitamin C at food give influence to increase the haemoglobin rate (P<0.05).Survival rate after experiment are 100 %. Parameter of water quality of were: temperature 29.3-30.2 oC, pH 7.81-8.27, salinitas 31-32 psu, DO 3,65-5 mg/L, and ammonia content (NH 3) 0.044-0.069 mg/1

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted for 56 days , the aim to determine to get percentage fermented leucaena leaf (Leucaena leucocephala) Meal with Trichoderma sp. in feed on feed efficiency. This study uses completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, with 5 treatment levels and 3 repetitions. The test feed used in this study was artificial feed with a protein content of 35% with a percentage Utilization of FLLM namely 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and  20%. Test feed given as much as 10% of the weight of biomass per day with the frequency of feeding threetimes throughout the day is at 08.00, 12.00 and 16.00. The fish used in this research with in 0,99 g of weight. Fish were reaered in 15 cage units (0,5x0,5x1 m3) with the stocking density 0f 20 fish/cage.  The results showed that the percentage of FLLM significant effect (P<0,05) on feed  efficiency, protein retention and specific growth rate but did not significantly affect the survival rate of green catfish fingerlings. Based on the results of this study concluded that Utilization of FLLM  15% give the best respons on the feed  efficiency, protein retention and specific growth rate.Kata Kunci : Fermented LeucaenaLeaf Meal, Hemibagrus nemurus, Growth, Trichoderma sp.

Abstract

This research was conducted on Desember 2016 - April 2017. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of fermented flour from Moringa leaf in the feed which affect the growth, feed efficiency, feed digestibility and protein retention in gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy). This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment with substitution of fermented moringa leaf flour, Controls (0: 100%), P1 (10: 90%), P2 (15: 85%), P3 (20: 80%), P4 (25: 75%). The feed contain protein of 30%. The results showed that the best result is the highest treatment from P2 (15: 85%) with a specific growth rate of 1.58% / day, feed efficiency rate of 18.44%, 73.82% of feed digestibility and protein retention 15.82%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted on June-July 2019. The purpose of this research was know the percentage of use of fermented rubber seed flour in freshwater lobster seeds to produce feed efficiency and growth of freshwater lobster seeds .  This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, the level 5 treatment and 3 replications. The treatments in this study were fermented rubber seed flour, namely P0 (0%), P1 (10%), P2 (20%), P3 (30%), P4 (40%) in feed.The results showed that the best research was P4. Use fermented formulated rubber seeds in the feed as much as 40%, produce the best freshwater lobster seed growth is 74.8% feed digestibility, digestibility of protein 91.1%, the feed efficiency of 45.88%, retention of protein 52.12%, specific growth rate of 2.32% and survival rate 96.0%.Keyword:,Fermentation, fish feedKeywords: Rubber Seed, Freshwater Lobster (Cherax quadricarinatus), Fermentation, Artificial Feed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of feeding containing fermented chicken feather flour on feed efficiency and growth of striped catfish fry. The test fish used weighted 2.85 ± 0.33 g. The containers used for observing fish growth were 15 units of floating net cages made of gauze measuring 1x1x1 m with a stocking density of 25 ind/m, 3 and 5 units of aquariums measuring 60x35x40 cm as containers for observing the digestibility of feed with a stocking density of 25 ind/m3. This research method used a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatment levels and three replications. The treatments in this study were P0 (feed without fermented feather meal), P1 (feed containing 7.5% fermented feather meal), P2 (feed containing 15% fermented feather meal), P3 (feed containing 22.5% flour fermented chicken feathers), and P4 (feed containing 30% fermented chicken feather flour). The test feed protein was about 40%. The amount of feed given is 5% of the body weight of the fish with a frequency of 3 times a day, namely morning, afternoon, and evening. Fish rearing was carried out for 56 days. Measure the digestibility of feed by giving feed containing an indicator of 0.5% chromium oxide (Cr2O3). Feed is offered three times a day, namely morning, afternoon, and evening, as much as 5% of the body weight of the fish. The feces excreted by the fish are then collected and dried. The collected feces were analyzed for protein content and Cr2O3 to obtain feed and protein digestibility data. The results of this study indicated that the best treatment was P3 (feed containing 22.5% fermented chicken feather meal), resulting in feed digestibility of 55.36%, protein digestibility of 85.39%, feed efficiency of 83.59%, protein retention of 36.33%, specific growth rate of 3.38%, and survival of 92.00%

Abstract

Pulau Komang Sentajo merupakan salah satu desa yang terdapat di Kecamatan Sentajo Raya yang memiliki potensi dalam budidaya ikan di kolam tanah. Usaha budidaya ikan nila sangat berpotensi untuk dikembangkan di Desa Pulau Komang Sentajo Raya akan tetapi kendala yang dihadapi dalam budidaya ikan nila yaitu pakan karena 60-70% dari total biaya produksi digunakan untuk pembelian pakan. Salah satu upaya mengatasi mahalnya harga pellet adalah dengan membuat pellet mandiri. Tujuan dari penyuluhan ini adalah untuk memberdayakan masyarakat di Desa Pulau Komang Sentajo Kecamatan Sentajo Raya dalam membuat pakan ikan nila mandiri. Metode yang diterapkan adalah persiapan wadah, pembuatan produk, sosialisasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah pembudidaya ikan di desa Pulau Komang dapat membuat pellet ikan mandiri yang diterapkan untuk pemeliharaan ikan nila. Pembudidaya ikan juga dapat membuat pelet secara mandiri dengan tingkat keberhasilan marteri sebesar 80% dari jumlah peserta yang hadir. Hasil evaluasi dari program ini menunjukkan bahwa kelompok masyarakat di Pulau Komang Sentajo akan menggunakan pellet untuk meningkatkan produksi ikan budidaya.

Abstract

Desa Pulau Komang Sentajo merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Sentajo Raya, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, Provinsi Riau. Di desa ini telah dilakukan kegiatan budidaya ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) di kolam tanah, namun produksi ikan belum optimal dan belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen. Rendahnya produksi ikan disebabkan oleh tingginya kematian ikan akibat pengelolaan kolam yang kurang baik serta berkembangnya mikroorganisme patogen penyebab penyakit dan kematian ikan. Rendahnya produksi ikan juga karena pembudidaya ikan tidak mampu memberikan pakan buatan (pelet) secara kontinu sehingga ikan kurus dan pertumbuhannya relatif lambat / produksi rendah. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan inovasi pengetahuan, wawasan, dan keterampilan untuk memotivasi masyarakat Desa Pulau Komang Sentajo melakukan budidaya ikan nila dengan teknik yang baik dan benar sehingga menjadi suatu wirausaha yang berkelanjutan. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi persiapan pelaksanaan kegiatan, penyampaian materi dan penyuluhan tentang teknologi bioflok pada media budidaya dan pembuatan pakan ikan mandiri berupa pelet dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan lokal yang murah harganya tetapi berkualitas baik, pembuatan kolam percontohan, pembuatan pakan ikan mandiri, pendampingan dan pembinaan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dengan hasil 30% menyatakan ‘Sangat Setuju’ dan 70% menyatakan ‘Setuju’. Hasil evaluasi juga menunjukkan bahwa 20% peserta menyatakan ‘Sangat Setuju’ dan 80% menyatakan ‘Setuju’ bahwa mereka mampu melaksanakan kegiatan dengan baik dan antusias terhadap kegiatan.

Abstract

Ikan nila merupakan komoditas perikanan yang digemari oleh masyarakat Desa Pematang. Upaya yang dilakukan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen akan ikan tersebut maka pembudidaya ikan (Mitra) melakukan budidaya dalam keramba jaring apung di Sungai Indragiri. Akan tetapi kualitas air sering berfluktuasi sehingga tidak mendukung kehidupan ikan, bahkan ikan sering mengalami kematian. Pembudidaya juga tidak mampu memberikan pakan pelet ke ikan budidaya secara kontiniu sehingga pertumbuhan ikan relatif lambat. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (Abdimas), Tim Universitas melakukan inovasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada Mitra untuk melakukan budidaya ikan di kolam terpal dengan melakukan aplikasi probiotik pada media budidaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas air dan pembuatan pakan berkualitas baik dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan lokal untuk menekan harga pakan. Hasil evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan Abdimas menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta terlibat secara langsung dan terlihat bersemangat dalam mengikuti setiap tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta sebesar 100%, pada umumnya 90% sangat setuju dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan Abdimas ini dan 10% menyatakan setuju. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah agar pembudidaya ikan dapat melakukan budidaya ikan nila di kolam darat dengan membuat pakan secara mandiri dan mampu meningkatkan produksi ikan sehingga budidaya ikan dapat menjadi mata pencarian alternatif dan mampu meningkatkan pendapatan Mitra.
