Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hal apa saja yang menjadi kesulitan guru menggunakan laboratorium virtual dalam pembelajaran kimia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 8 orang guru kimia di daerah Ciputat yang memiliki akses sarana dan prasarana yang memadai. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 8 SMA/MA negeri dan swasta yang ada di daerah Ciputat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa hal yang menjadi kesulitan guru kimia menggunakan laboratorium virtual yaitu keterbatasan menggunakan teknologi (gagap teknologi), usia tua, ketidakmauan menerima teknologi baru, belum ada pelatihan/seminar/workshop, belum punya pengalaman, keterbatasan materi dalam laboratorium virtual, anggapan siswa tidak menyukai laboratorium virtual, perlu dukungan perangkat, program yang rumit, kemampuan IT, dan waktu yang terbatas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwasanya ada 2 faktor yang menjadi kendala utama yaitu faktor internal (dari diri sendiri) dan faktor eksternal (dari lingkungan luar).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesiapan mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia untuk mengikuti program pendidikan profesi guru dalam rangka menjadi guru profesional. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia dari tujuh Universitas Islam Negeri yang berjumlah 348 mahasiswa yang diperoleh melalui teknik probability sampling. Sedangkan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kesiapan mengikuti program Pendidikan profesi guru (PPG) yang ditinjau dari indikator kesiapan yaitu Kesehatan, minat, motivasi, lingkungan keluarga, sosial ekonomi, dan lingkungan sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berbentuk angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian kesiapan mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia untuk mengikuti program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) yaitu aspek kesehatan 87,16% (sangat baik), aspek lingkungan keluarga 80,50% (sangat baik), aspek minat 78,85% (baik), aspek motivasi 76,36% (baik), aspek sosial ekonomi 75,10% (baik), dan aspek lingkungan sekolah memiliki persentase 72,53% (baik). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesiapan mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia untuk mengikuti program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) secara umum sudah sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 80,29%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop LKPD based on a scientific approach to the colloid concept for the practice of making green mussel shell crackers. This type of research was conducted using the Four-D model which was adapted from Thiagarajan which consisted of four stages: define, design, development, and disseminate. However, this research is limited only to the development stage. The LKPD eligibility criteria developed were reviewed from several aspects, namely the feasibility aspect of the content, the presentation feasibility aspect, the language aspect, the graphic aspect, the teacher and student responses. The product has been validated and continued with a limited trial phase was carried out on 16 high school/MA chemistry teachers in the Jabodetabek area and 36 students in class XII science at SMAN 4 Tangerang City. Data were collected using a validation questionnaire which was prepared using the Guttman scale and the teacher and student response sheets were compiled using a Likert scale. The results of the limited trial through the teacher's response questionnaire to the LKPD developed were 86%; and the results of the student questionnaire of 83.5% which are included in the very good category and are suitable for use in learning the colloid concept.

Abstract

Teaching materials are a source of learning for students. For this reason, efforts are needed to develop teaching materials that accommodate the needs of students in terms of ease of access, attractive presentation, and encouraging student activity. This research focuses on the development of electronic booklets (e-booklets) using the "problem-based learning (PBL)" model on acid-base materials. Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D model consisting of define, design, and develop was used as this research method, but dissemination stages were not conducted because of limited research time. 34 purposively selected students of SMAN 21 Bekasi City were given a questionnaire to determine the need for e-booklet development at the define stage. Meanwhile, the questionnaire that had been developed at the development stage was validated by 4 experts. After the instrument was deemed feasible, the e-booklet was tested on 34 purposively selected students. The research findings showed that the percentage of the results of the trial of teaching materials to students was 81.53% with very good criteria. This study concludes that the teaching materials developed are suitable for use as a learning resource for students in solving problems on acid-base materials.

Abstract

Digitalisasi sekolah menuntut pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran kimia. Smartphone merupakan produk teknologi yang belum dimanfaatkan secara benar sebagai media pembelajaran. Padahal, sebagian besar guru dan siswa telah menggunakan smartphone sebagi kebutuhan informasi. Salah satunya mencari sumber referensi materi kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran kimia berbasis android pada materi korosi. Metode pengembangan menggunakan model design and development (D&D) melalui tiga tahap yaitu; (1) perencanaan (planning), (2) disain (design), dan (3) pengembangan (development) yang diadaptasi dari pengembangan Alessy dan Trollip. Subjek penelitian ini adalah aplikasi media pembelajaran kimia berbasis android. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar evaluasi uji alpha test dan uji beta test. Uji alpha test divalidasi oleh 3 ahli materi dan 3 ahli media. Sementara itu, uji beta test divalidasi oleh guru dan peserta didik. Hasil data yang diperoleh dari uji alpha test menunjukkan nilai presentase sebesar 100% dari ahli materi dan 98,81% dari ahli media. Sedangkan, pengujian beta test untuk respon guru yaitu sebesar 94,28% dan 89,78% peserta didik. Media pembelajaran hasil pengembangan dikategorikan sangat baik dan dapat digunakan.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study is determine the effect of search, solve, create, and share (SSCS) learning model on critical thinking skills of hydrocarbons and petroleum material. The method used in this study was quasi experimental design, with research design nonequivalent control group design. The sample was taken by purposive sampling and divided into two groups consist of control group and experimental group. The data gathering techniques in this study was through 8 items of essay test instrument which is analyzed by using t-test. The results of t-test data showed that tcount  ttable or 16.36  1.980 at significance level 5%, value tcount lies in the region reject H0 and accept Ha. The result shows that there are significant search, solve, create, and share (SSCS) learning model on student’s critical thinking skills. Keywords: Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) Learning Model, Critical Thinking Skills; Hydrocarbons and Petroleum.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the influence of Project Based Learning on creative thinking skills of student on colloid concept. The method used in this study was quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study was second semester students of SMAN 5 in Bekasi of Academic Years 2014/2015. Samples are class XI MIA-4 as the experimental class (given treatment by project-based learning model), and class MIA XI-2 as the control class (given treatment by lecture method). Data collection techniques were gained through an essay test instrument. Data value of the average pretest-posttest control group and experimental group were analyzed using t-test. The average of pretest score for control class is 19.89 and experiment class is 18.11, while the average of postest score of control class is 24.5 and experimental class is 29.35. The t-test result showed that tcount (7.35) was greater than ttable (2.0049) with significance level 5%, so the research hypothesis which states that there are significant influence of project-based learning to the creative thinking skills of students on colloid concept are accepted. In order to obtain the greatest number of information about creative thinking skills, when implemented project based learning must consider several things, that are: time management, formulation of the problem, step of project work, and assessment systems should be informed to the students in a clear and focused so that students can understand and have a passion in running the project. Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires students to demonstrate metacognitive proficiency. The alignment of knowledge and metacognitive awareness can assist students in achieving the learning  objectives in the national curriculum. This study aimed to ascertain whether there was a correlation between metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive awareness among students. This study employed a correlational design research methodology. The instruments used to gather data including a set of 5 questions involved in testing students’ metacognitive knowledge. Meanwhile, The Metacognition Awareness Inventory (MAI) which comprised of 52 items was employed to assess metacognitive awareness.  The correlation between metacognitive knowledge and awareness can be measured using the Product Moment correlation coefficient. The findings of this study indicated that there was a positive  correlation between metacognitive knowledge and awareness yet it was relatively low (0.110).

Abstract

Abstract Metacognitive is knowledge and understanding of the cognitive process or knowledge of mind, and it’s work. Metacognitive is needed on solving the problem. Every student has different metacognitive abilities. This research is to describe students metacognitive level on solving chemicals molarity problem. This research was held in SMAN in South Tangerang, by 104 students as the subject research. This research is a quantitative descriptive by the essay results as the data. This result is analyzed, and the metacognitive level is stated based on the indicators. As the results of this research are 14.42% students are in Aware Use level, 73.08% in metacognitive Strategic Use level and 12.50% in metacognitive Reflective Use level. Metacognitive Reflective Use is the level for the high score students. Metacognitive Strategic Use is for middle score students. And metacognitive Aware Use for the low score students. Metacognitive Strategic Use level as the average. Most of the students can use and realized the right strategy on solving problems. Male students have a metacognitive level that is higher than for women. Abstrak Metakognitif adalah pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang proses kognisi, atau pengetahuan tentang pikiran dan cara kerjanya. Dalam memecahkan masalah kimia, memerlukan keterlibatan metakognitif. Setiap siswa memiliki kemampuan metakognitif yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan level metakognitif siswa dalam memecahkan masalah pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri di Tangerang Selatan dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 104 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif sehingga datanya berupa hasil tes essai. Hasil tes essai tersebut  dianalisis dan ditentukan level metakognitifnya berdasarkan indikator yang telah dibuat. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 14.42 % siswa berada pada level metakognitif Aware Use, sebanyak 73.08 %  siswa berada pada level metakognitif Strategic Use dan sebanyak 12.50 % siswa berada pada level metakognitif Relective Use. Siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar yang tinggi di dalam kelas berada pada level metakognitif Reflective Use. Siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar yang sedang di dalam kelas berada pada level metakognitif Strategic Use. Dan siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar yang rendah di dalam kelas berada pada level metakognitif Aware Use. Rata-rata level metakognitif siswa berada pada level metakognitif Strategic Use, karena rata-rata siswa dapat menggunakan dan menyadari strategi yang tepat dalam menyelesaikan masalah, tidak hanya mampu memahami masalah.
