Abstract

The lack of learning media for science subjects, particularly food web material, inspired this study because schools have limited learning media, and using less varied media is still widespread. This research aims to develop an integrated lift-the-flap mind map learning medium on food web material at SD Negeri 12 Tempilang as a suitable and practical medium. This research is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which consists of 5 stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this research consisted of 24 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 12 Tempilang. Data collection techniques and instruments are in the form of questionnaires. The data analysis technique is quantitative-descriptive, consisting of feasibility data from media and material experts. Practicality data was obtained from the results of student questionnaire responses. Based on the media validator assessment results, the percentage obtained was 92.45% (eligible), and the material validator obtained 87.5% (eligible). The results of small-scale trials were 95% (very practical), and those of large-scale trials were 97,80% (efficient). The results of the paired sample t-test have a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there are differences before and after in using learning media.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a learning model that has not been implemented in learning, students' conceptual understanding in science learning has never been measured, and 59% of students' scores are still below the KKM. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effectiveness of the REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating and Transferring) learning model on students' conceptual understanding of environmental problems that threaten the lives of grade V students of SD Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang. This study uses a quantitative method with a Quasi Experimental Design research type. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling, which means that the entire population is used as a sample consisting of 32 students in the experimental class and 32 students in the control class in grade V of SD Muhammadiyah Pangkalpinang in the 2024/2025 academic year. The data collection technique uses a test of 10 essay questions. The data analysis technique uses a normality test, a homogeneity test and a hypothesis test. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the average value of the experimental class is higher than the control class (89.13 > 73.31). This is supported by the results of the hypothesis test using the independent sample t-test obtained a sig-2-tailed value of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is an Effectiveness of the REACT Learning Model on Students' Conceptual Understanding of Science Learning on Environmental Problems Threatening Life in Class V of Muhammadiyah Elementary School Pangkal Pinang

Abstract

This research was motivated by the limitations of the media used in the learning process, causing a lack of student response, which affected student learning outcomes. The aim of this research is 1) to produce an integrated e-module QR Code teaching material product on the cultural diversity of my nation for grade 4 elementary schools that is feasible and practical, and 2) to determine the effectiveness of the e-module integrated with QR Code material on the cultural diversity of my nation for grade 4 elementary schools that was developed. This type of research is R&D (research and development) based on the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) model. This study was conducted with fourth graders at SD Negeri 14 Mendo Barat. Data collection techniques include tests and non-tests. Data collection instruments include questionnaires, interviews, and 10 test questions. To test effectiveness, the data analysis techniques used are descriptive qualitative, normality testing, and hypothesis testing using the paired samples t-test. Based on the assessment results, material validators received an average of 92.3%, and media validators received an average of 82%. Small-group trials had 100% results, whereas large-group trials had 100%. Class IV student responses to the questionnaire were 100%. The results of the paired sample t-test (t-count > t-table) are 10.825> 2.068. Thus, Ha is accepted, meaning that there is effectiveness in using the E-Module in the Cultural Diversity of My Nation class IV material at SD Negeri 14 Mendo Barat. It can be concluded that the e-module, combined with QR Code material on cultural diversity in my country, is feasible, practical, and effective for use as teaching material.
