Abstract

After the fall of the Soeharto regime was like the fresh air for the ethnic Chinese in Indonesia inarticulating cultural identities, especially after the issuance of Presidential decree Number 6 of 2000which revoked Presidential Instruction Number 14 of 1967 on religion, beliefs, and customs of China.With that Presidential decree, Chinese people were free to celebrate the religious ceremony and customs,as well as featuring Barongsai (Lion Dance) in front of public. Consequently, Barongsai became popularand transformed into a cultural icon as well as “obligatory menu” for city event. Barongsai allegedlyunderwent commodification along with its popularity. However, that signal was responded byBarongsai activists as the consequence of efforts to survive and conquer the market. Through the mindsetof yin and yang, commodification discourse is abrogated and appropriated by Barongsai activists, socommodification is not just an effort to maintain and preserve the ancestral cultural heritage, identity,and cultural pride due to the accomplishments achieved

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Sampang dalam merukunkan penganut Sunni-Syi’ah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pendekatan fenomenologi berusaha memahami orang-orang dalam situasi tertentu yang ada kaitannya dengan suatu fenomena/peristiwa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pemerintah Kabupaten Sampang menggunakan strategi persuasive dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak. Pihak-pihak yang dianggap memiliki kemampuan, pengaruh serta kredibilitas dalam menyelesaikan konflik ditunjuk sebagai mediator untuk merukunkan penganut Sunni-Syi’ah. Beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam melakukan strategi komunikasi yakni mulai dari unsur komunikator, analisis kebutuhan khalayak, pesan, uji awal materi, efek sampai pada evaluasi yang dirancang untuk mencapai tujuan komunikasi yang optimal. Hendaknya strategi memiliki tujuan agar dapat memberikan informasi kepada pembacanya yang sekaligus mudah diperbarui oleh setiap manajemen puncak dan setiap anggota organisasi. Dalam melakukan strategi komunikasi tidak menutup kemungkinan adanya faktor pendukung dan penghambat. Beberapa faktor pendukung yakni, kredibilitas komunikator dalam menyelesaikan konflik, penerapan informasi, umpan balik langsung serta evaluasi pesan. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya meliputi perbedaan latar belakang komunikan dan tingkat pendidikan komunikan yang rendah. Hal ini menyebabkan susahnya pesan yang akan disampaikan meskipun didukung oleh bukti dan alasan yang kuat dan benar.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to explain ; first, the basic argument for household muslims to domesticate information and communication technology. Second, the process of domestication of information technology. The third implication of the domestication of technology and information. This study used descriptive qualitative method with phenomenological approach. The goal is to understand the meaning behind the action naturally. The results of this study are: First, Domestication of the information and communication technology rests on reasoning awareness, that leads to understanding the meaning and function of information and communication technology for them (Purposeful actions). Second.The existence of kampoeng cyber as instrument of the process of domestication of information and communication technology. Was apparently able to bring parents and children together in cultural negotiation space. The result is a process of aproriation, objectification, incorporation and conversion which accelerate the domestication of information and communication technology. Third, Moslem family awareness of the positive and negative impact that the process of domestication of information and communication technology influences their religious and social interactions. Therefore, the Cyber Kampoeng developed is used a medium of the construction awareness and values inheritance in the next generation.

Abstract

Post-published Decree No. 6 of 2000 by President KH. Abdurrahman Wahid suspend the number 14 of 1967 on religion, beliefs and customs of the Chinese, is an important moment for Indonesian ethnic Chinese community represents their cultural identity. Emergence Lion Dance tradition in the public sphere becomes a marker of cultural freedom that has long shackled due to political discrimination of the New Order. As an icon of cultural freedom, the Lion Dance in glasses Confucianism is perceived as a symbol of bravery and unyielding and human compulsion to clean ourselves from all forms of malicious behavior. and considered able to reconcile between the profane with the sacred, so is able to connect people with the unseen. Although the substance is good, but leaves a theological problem for the Chinese Muslim community.Through two-way translation strategy played PITI organization, the Chinese Muslim community is able to reconcile Islam with Chineseness. Islam yes, the Chinese also yes.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate how moderate Islam is contested on the websites muhammadiyah.or.id and nu.or.id. This study uses Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis approach as a sort of content analysis research. The findings of this study demonstrate that, in the first place, the discourse of moderate Islam in NU media is presented under the slogan “Globalizing Moderate Islam,” while in Muhammadiyah media, the discourse of moderate Islam is presented in relation to ”he accomplishments in seven different areas, including economy, education, morality, social issues, da'wah, nationality, and gender. Second, the discourse process used to portray moderate Islam is examined in terms of textual, social, and sociocultural praxis dimensions. This analysis reveals the various ways that moderate Islam is interpreted as well as the motivations behind such interpretations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pemikiran dan praktik dakwah humoris yang dikembangkan oleh Habib Husein Ja'far Al-Hadar dalam perspektif ontologis, epistemologis, dan aksiologis. Dakwah humoris dianggap sebagai metode yang relevan di era digital untuk menjangkau audiens yang beragam, khususnya generasi muda. Dengan pendekatan netnografi dan kajian pustaka, penelitian ini menelaah konten dakwah Habib Ja’far di media sosial seperti Instagram dan YouTube. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa humor dalam dakwah yang dilakukan Habib Ja'far mampu membangun kedekatan emosional antara dai dan audiens, mempermudah penyampaian pesan keislaman yang kompleks, serta meningkatkan penerimaan pesan dakwah. Dari sisi ontologis, humor dipandang sebagai elemen yang sah dalam dakwah selama sesuai dengan syariat. Secara epistemologis, humor menjadi strategi komunikasi yang efektif dalam menarik perhatian dan menyampaikan pesan agama dengan cara yang ringan. Sedangkan secara aksiologis, dakwah humoris memberikan manfaat nyata dalam membentuk pemahaman keislaman yang lebih inklusif dan humanis. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa dakwah humoris, jika digunakan secara bijak dan tidak melanggar batasan syariat, dapat menjadi metode yang efektif dalam menghadirkan Islam yang ramah dan relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat kontemporer.

Abstract

Islamic communication (dakwah) that is currently in the midst of a global village requires a total reconstruction and redefinition of its existence through critical reflection. This article discusses how Islamic communication can balance between the critical and pragmatic reasoning amid global village in order to face the challenges of contemporary society. The writer argues that to make it happen, the reconstruction of Islamic communication needs to be placed in a well-ordered system by designing curriculum that emphasizes on students’ critical thinking and practical knowledge.Keyword: Islamic communication, critical reasoning, pragmatic reasoning.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Komunikasi Islam (dakwah) yang saat ini berada di tengah kampung global menuntut rekonstruksi dan redefinisi secara total dengan cara melakukan refleksi kritis terhadap eksistensinya. Artikel ini membahas lebih dalam bagaimana komunikasi Islam mampu menyeimbangkan nalar kritis dan pragmatis di tengah global village (kampung global) agar dapat menjawab tantangan masyarakat dan zaman. Ia beragumentasi bahwa untuk mewujudkan hal itu, rekonstruksi komunikasi Islam perlu diletakkan pada suatu sistem yang tertata secara baik dengan melakukan disain kurikulum yang benar-benar mengarahkan kemampuan mahasiswa bernalar kritis dan memiliki kemampuan praktis.Kata kunci: komunikasi Islam, nalar kritis, nalar pragmatis.
