Abstract

Investment aimed to manage assets and increase people's income from the profit earned. The expected return depends on the investment instrument and the level of risk. The higher the risk, the higher the rate of return. On the contrary, the lower the risk, the lower the return on investment. This principle should be well-introduced to the public in order to avoid "fraud" investments. Cases of fraud of investment that went viral in the society are the portrait of the level of understanding of the society about investment and its risks. This study was conducted from the act of community service activities in Boliyohuto District, Region of Gorontalo.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the influence of the internal variables of Islamic banks on market share. Market share is one of the indicators used by Islamic banking to measure how much it contributes to the banking industry in Indonesia. The internal variables of Islamic banks used are Return On Assets, Capital Adequacy Ratio, Financing to Deposit Ratio, and Non Performing Financing. The relationship between bank internal variables and market share is measured using long-term regression, namely fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS) and dynamic ordinary least squares (DOLS) regressions. Based on the results of this regression, it shows that the profitability variable proxied by Return On Assets and the Financing to deposit Ratio variable has a positive effect on the market share of Islamic banks in Indonesia. The Capital Adequacy Ratio and Non-Performing Financing variables reject the proposed hypothesis. These results conclude that in the long-term the market share of the variable return on assets and the financing to deposit ratio can increase the market share of Islamic banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study analyzes the interest in using donation payment services in Islamic bank mobile banking. Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), variables that can affect interest are analyzed. Some of the variables used are Perceived Ease of Use (PEU), Availability of Islamic Features (AIF), Perceived Risk (PR), and Trust. This study specifically used trust variables as mediation. Data obtained using questionnaires to 118 respondents were then analyzed using SEM-PLS with Smart-PLS 3 software. The results of this study show that the Variable Availability of Islamic Features (AIF) is the primary variable in increasing trust, while Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Risk are not following the hypothesis proposed. This research has implications for the development of Islamic banks, especially related to the use of donation payment service features using mobile banking. If it wants to increase interest in customers using mobile banking, especially in donation payments, Sharia banking must increase trust in Islamic banks.

Abstract

East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province is a strategic area bordering Timor-Leste, with significant potential in agriculture and trade. However, NTT faces food insecurity issues, reflected in high poverty rates and malnutrition prevalence, making it the province with the highest malnutrition rate in Indonesia. This study uses Multiple Linear Regression Method to analyze the impact of climate change, accessibility, education, agricultural diversification programs, and community participation on food security. A sample of 150 farmers from Kupang, South Central Timor, North Central Timor, Belu, and Malaka districts was randomly selected. The results show that these five variables significantly affect food security in NTT, both partially and simultaneously. Strategic recommendations include adopting climate change adaptation programs, improving accessibility, education, agricultural diversification, and strengthening community participation in decision-making processes.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the factors that influence non-performing financing (NPF) at Islamic rural banks (BPR) in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data used in this study was taken during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely in 2020. This study uses a data panel consisting of 128 Sharia BPRs throughout Indonesia. The analysis used is panel data analysis by choosing the best model between common effect (CE), fixed effect (FE), and random effect (FE). Data analysis was also carried out on: (1) large and small Sharia BPRs; (2) BPR located on the island of Java and outside the island of Java. The results found that the variable that had a strong influence on NPF during the covid-19 pandemic was economic growth as proxied by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Bank size shows a negative and significant effect. FDR shows a positive and significant effect.  Operational efficiency ratio (OER/BOPO) has a positive but not significant effect. Based on these results, it is necessary to mitigate financial problems, especially changes in macroeconomic conditions such as economic growth. This study also shows that there are differences in the variables that affect the size of small and large banks, as well as those in Java and those outside Java. This result can be a reference for Sharia BPR in mitigating financing risk.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Islamic social institutions through a case study on the Madani Welfare Foundation (Yakesma), utilizing six ratios as a measure. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach to calculate each effectiveness ratio. Data was collected through Yakesma's financial statement documentation for six years, namely 2017-2022. The analysis was conducted by calculating the effectiveness ratio, which comprised the distribution ratio, ZIS fund growth, distribution growth, amil rights to collection, the use of amil funds to fulfill amil rights, and the allocation of funds to poor people for zakat distribution. The results of this ratio calculation are then integrated with the four pillars of Islamic Economics, namely transparency, accountability, efficiency, and Sharia compliance. Based on the analysis results, it was found that Yakesma successfully maintained a high and consistent distribution ratio (>77%), demonstrating its effectiveness in distributing ZIS to the mustahik. Additionally, the trend of growth and fund disbursement demonstrated a positive performance. Yakesma demonstrates a good level of accountability through independent audits and the publication of financial statements. These findings suggest that other Islamic social institutions can adopt the practices of financial report transparency, amil fund management discipline, and accountable governance, as applied by Yakesma, to increase public trust, muzakki participation, and optimize benefits for the mustahik.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Inflation Variables, CAR, NPF, Murabahah Financing, Mudharabah Financing, and Musyarakah Financing on the Profitability of Sharia BPRs in Indonesia. This study uses time series data from 2016-2020. The data is processed using the Error Correction Model (ECM). This study concludes that Murabahah Financing Variables have a significant influence and other variables, namely Inflation, CAR, NPF, Mudharabah Financing and Musyarakah Financing have no effect on the Profitability of Sharia BPRs in Indonesia. Thus, the type of financing affects the profitability of Sharia BPR in Indonesia
