Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and its impact on the quality of learning. The Merdeka Curriculum is designed to provide freedom in the teaching and learning process, with an emphasis on the development of student competencies and character, and is expected to improve the quality of education at various levels, including madrasahs. Design/Methods/Approach: Using a research method that involves a literature review discussing the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and the issues faced in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah related to the impact on the quality of learning in the field. Findings: The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah has a positive impact on the quality of learning, particularly in enhancing student participation, the development of critical thinking skills, and collaborative abilities. Originality/Value: this research also identifies several challenges, such as limited resources and the need for intensive training for teachers to effectively implement the curriculum Practical/Policy implication: In conclusion, although the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum shows potential to improve the quality of learning, the success of its implementation heavily depends on adequate infrastructure support and the readiness of educators.

Abstract

Background: This study was motivated by the importance of developing valid and practical student worksheets (LKPD) that are student-centered to foster students' interest in learning mathematics. Aim: The study aims to examine the development process of student worksheets (LKPD) on plane figures using Indonesian traditional houses for Grade IV students. In addition, this study also aims to evaluate the feasibility of the LKPD and to assess students' and teachers' responses to the worksheets. Method: This research used a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. Result and discussions: The results show that the average validity scores from the language expert, content expert, and media expert were 95%, 90%, and 96.65%, respectively, all categorized as "highly appropriate." The small-scale trial yielded a total score of 321 out of a maximum of 450, with a feasibility percentage of 71.33%, categorized as "feasible." Meanwhile, the large-scale trial obtained a total score of 883 out of 990, with a feasibility percentage of 89.19%, classified as "highly feasible." Conclusion: Therefore, the LKPD on plane figures using Indonesian traditional houses for Grade IV Elementary/Islamic Elementary School Students meets the criteria for validity and practicality and is suitable for classroom learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on the Lectora Inspire application in thematic learning of grade IV Elementary School. The background of the problem shows that the use of innovative media in learning is still low. The solution is to develop Lectora Inspire learning media that can improve student motivation and learning outcomes. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The subjects of the study were 45 grade IV students, of which 15 students were in small-scale trials and 30 students were in large-scale trials. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The instruments used were assessment scales to determine the feasibility of language, media, and materials as well as the response to the attractiveness of the product to students with a Likert scale arranged in the form of a checklist. The results of expert validation showed that this media was very valid with a percentage above 80%. Trials in two schools showed a positive response from students, with a very interesting percentage reaching 98.4% and 96.5%. The conclusion of this study is that the Lectora Inspire media is effective in supporting thematic learning and increasing student involvement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between critical thinking skills and the learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students. The research method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The population in this study consists of all third-grade elementary school students totaling 19 individuals. The data collection technique used was a test to obtain data on critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. The prerequisite tests used are the normality test and the linearity test. The data analysis technique in this study uses Pearson correlation (Product Moment Correlation). The findings of this research indicate that there is a significant relationship between critical thinking skills and the learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Abstrak Gamolan adalah alat musik tradisional dari kebudayaan masyarakat lampung, yang termasuk jenis alat musik Xylophone. Alat musik Gamolan dalam sejarah kebudayaan masyarakat Lampung adalah sebuah akulturasi dari kebudayaan asing yang tinggal dan hidup di Propinsi Lampung. Dilihat dari perspektif kebudayaan tentang proses pembelajaran kebudayaan dalam konteks kesenian tradisional, Gamolan  menjadi sebuah media pembelajaran dalam proses pewarisan atau penularan kesenian tradisional yang dilakukan melalui proses internalisasi, sosialisasi. Secara perkembangannya, Gamolan mengalami proses difusi yaitu perpindahan kebudayaan (migrasi) dan mengalami proses inovasi dan pembaruan. Proses internalisasi dan inovasi ini merupakan bentuk wujud pembelajaran Gamolan dalam rangka melestarikan nilai-nilai tradisional kebudayaan masyarakat Lampung khsusnya nilai-nilai kesenian tradisional Gamolan. Kata kunci : Eksistensi, Gamolan, internalisasi, sosialisasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi pada masalah yang ditemukan di SD Negeri 1 Siliwangi dan MI Miftahul Falah Siliwangi Pringsewu yaitu media pembelajaran yang belum bervariatif dan sumber belajar, keterbatasan alat  dalam proses pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang ada kemudian dikembangkan dengan media pembelajaran pop-up book. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu pertama menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa buku pop-up pada pembelajaran menulis narasi Bahasa Indonesia kelas IV di SD/MI, kedua mengetahui keefektifan media dengan mengetahui respon dari peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran pop-up book, ketiga mengetahui respon kelayakan validasi terhadap media pembelajaran pop-up book. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Reseach and Development (R&D). Produk divalidasi oleh 6 dosen serta 2 pendidik yaitu ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa. Produk diuji coba pada peserta didik dikelas IV pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba kelompok besar dengan memberikan angket. Hasil validasi  oleh ahli media memperoleh 93%, ahli materi memperoleh 93%, ahli bahasa memperoleh 95%. Respon pendidik memperoleh 96%, dan uji coba kelompok kecil di SD Negeri 1 Siliwangi memperoleh 89%, uji coba kelompok besar di SD Negeri 1 Siliwangi dan MI Mifthaul Falah memperoleh 96%. Disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran gambar berseri berbasis pop-up book pada menulis narasi Bahasa Indonesia kelas IV di SD/MI yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan, kelayakan dan respon peserta didik terhapdap media pembelajaran interaktif IPA materi organ gerak manusia menggunakan Adobe Flash CS3 di kelas V SD/MI. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) menggunakan model borg and gall. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN 1 Harapan Jaya Bandar Lampung dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket. Teknik analisis data dalam pengembangan ini adalah mendeskripsikan semua pendapat, saran dan tanggapan evaluator serta respon dari peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Adobe Flash CS3 pada pelajaran IPA materi organ gerak manusia memperoleh rata-rata nilai dari ahli materi sebesar 95,45% dikategorikan sangat layak, rata-rata ahli media 95,55% dengan kategori sangat layak, dan rata-rata penelitian guru 83% sangat layak. Sedangkan penilaian yang diberikan oleh peserta didik pada tahap uji kelompok kecil 84,77% yang dikategorikan sangat layak, dan uji kelompok besar memperoleh rata-rata 93% dikategorikan sangat layak. Dengan demikian media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Adobe Flah CS3yang dikembangkan dikategorikan Sangat Baik dan layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk SD/MI pada mata pelajaran IPA

Abstract

Elementary school art and culture education plays an important role in the introduction and preservation of local culture. Often the available teaching materials are less interesting and unable to arouse students' interest. Therefore, it is necessary to develop teaching materials based on regional creative dance encyclopedias in order to develop students' creativity, skills, and understanding of regional cultural heritage. This study aims to determine the development of teaching materials for arts and crafts and the feasibility of teaching materials based on regional creative dance encyclopedias for fifth grade elementary school students. The research method uses research and development by adopting the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the study were 45 fifth grade elementary school students. Data collection used observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used two analyzes, namely qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative analysis by describing the findings of quantitative data while quantitative analysis is based on the feasibility or validity of the Likert scale. The results of the study showed that based on the average value of the material experts obtained 88.65%, the language experts obtained a percentage of 94.65%, the media experts obtained a percentage of 88.25%, and the teacher's response obtained a percentage of 95.83%. While the small-scale test obtained a percentage of 98.59% and the large-scale test obtained a percentage of 90.47%. From these results, it is concluded that the teaching materials for arts and crafts based on the encyclopedia of regional creative dance for grade V Elementary School students are categorized as very suitable for use in learning activities.

Abstract

Early reading skills are a crucial foundation in elementary school but are often a challenge for first-grade students. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of implementing the Scramble learning model mediated by word boxes on improving early reading skills in elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research type of one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population was all first-grade students at elementary school 3 Way Galih, South Lampung. The research sample consisted of 38 first-grade students. The instrument used was a written test of early reading skills given in the form of a pretest (before treatment) and a posttest (after treatment). Data analysis was carried out using a paired sample t-test. The results of descriptive statistics showed a significant increase in students' abilities, evidenced by an increase in the average score from 46.18 (pretest) to 69.87 (post test). The results of the paired sample t-test hypothesis test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Because the Sig. (0.000) is smaller than alpha = 0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. These results demonstrate that the Scramble learning model with word box media improves word stringing and beginning reading. This study shows that the simple and interactive Scramble learning model, supported by word box media, can help teachers overcome beginning reading difficulties and motivate elementary school students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low activity and learning outcomes of students in natural science subjects at state elementary schools. This study aims to test and analyze the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on increasing the engagement and learning outcomes of fifth-grade science subject students at State Elementary Schools. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a post-test-only nonequivalent control group design. The sample consists of two groups: the Experimental Class (n=27), which applies the TPS model, and the Control Class (n=26), which uses conventional learning at State Elementary School 3 Bandar Lampung. Data was collected through questionnaires, observation of learning activities, and learning outcome tests (post-test). Learning outcome data was analyzed using the independent sample t-test (Welch's t-test) after normality and homogeneity tests. The results of the study show: (1) Student learning engagement in the Experimental Class is in the High category with an average of 78.7%, while the Control Class is in the medium category with an average of 59.9%. (2) The average post-test score of the experimental class (88.52) was much higher than that of the control class (69.04). (3) The results of the hypothesis test indicated that there was a statistically very significant difference between the two groups (p-value = 0.000000019), which indicated that H_0 was rejected. The contribution of this study is to provide empirical evidence that the TPS learning model is a very effective and significant intervention in improving learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes among science students in elementary Islamic education.
