Abstract

Assessment for learning (AfL) is considering the results of evaluation to rearrange better learning activities. One of assessments, formative assessment, is an information of development of students achievemnet in the learning activities. In addition, it is very usefull for redesign the next learning strategies to increase students capability, especially for teachers. So that, ability to conduct AfL is necessary for prospective teachers. This research is aimed to describe the approvement and understanding of  prospective teacher to AfL. Survey, by using questionnare, is used in this research. Study objects were 59 students of Pendidikan Biologi Sebelas Maret University who enrolled in fourth semester. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the most of students are realized the functions of assessment in the learning. Arround 67,8% of students stated that study plan can be changed based on the results of formative assessment. Meanwhile, 73,7% of students prefered written examination compared to the oral one and all of students are agree that every evaluation have to performe a feedback. Moreover, they are 69,5% and 74,6% of students decided on written and oral feedback respectively and the oral feedback is given by the teacher or lecturer. Then, all of students agree that feedback has some benefits to rise learning qualities. To conclude, the survey showed that students have approvement and understanding to the functions of AfL, kinds of assessment and feedback, and the subject of feedback. Prospective teacher needs more practice to use AfL and its application to reach the goals of learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a module based on plant biodiversity and conservation in the Kudus area for high school students. The R&D research design, according to Borg & Gall, was implemented. The module was developed in five stages: research and information-gathering, planning; initial product development; preliminary field test; and product revision. Assessment and review of the module were performed by seven expert validators. Validity and reliability of the assessment instrument for the module were conducted and participated by 68 students. Thirty-one students became participants in the field test. Data were collected using a validation sheet and questionnaire. Data Analysis utilized excel, SPSS, and Rasch. Based on the assessment of validator experts, the module was declared valid. The module validation test gained an average score of 3.68 (very good). Students' responses showed that the Person measure was +3.22 logit, indicating that the students tended to agree with the proposed questions. The person and item reliability were 0.84 and 0.77, respectively. These values mean that the person reliability showed high consistency. The result of Rasch Analysis clarified the acceptance of students regarding the module both from Kudus and Non Kudus area. The results also showed students' interest and understanding of the issue of conservation and biodiversity, as well as their awareness of the local wisdom. It is recommended to develop a similar module as an effort of local potencies conservation.

Abstract

Pepe River is one of the Bengawan Solo with a reasonably high level of water pollution due to the habit of the surroundings in throwing garbage into the river. Plants that can survive in polluted land conditions have a high tolerance level, called pioneer plants. One of them is ferns (Pteridophyta). This study aims to identify the type, abundance, Important Value Index (IVI), and index Diversity of pteridophytes plant diversity in the Pepe Watershed. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative using the quadrat sampling technique method with a 1x1 meter plot. The sampling technique is using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively and quantitatively. Analysis of diversity index data (H’) by Shannon-Wiener. Based on the results of the study found eight species of ferns from 5 families. There are Pteris vittata, Pteris biaurita L., Adiantum lunulatum Burm.fil., Adiantum latifolium Lam., Adiantum hispidulum Sw, Marsilea crenata C. Presl, Microlepia speluncae (L.) T. Moore, and Asplenium scandicinum Kaulf. This diversity is included in the medium category with H'= 1.44. The fern with the highest abundance was Pteris vittata with 176 individuals, a density of 5.87 individuals/m2, a frequency of 0.53, and an IVI of 109.3%. Set side by set, the lowest abundance was Microlepia speluncae with eight individuals, a density of 0.27 individuals/m2, a frequency of 0.03, and IVI of 5.6%. Based on this, ferns can survive in polluted river areas. Information on the diversity of ferns found on critical land, especially rivers, is expected to provide initial information in overcoming other similar critical lands.

Abstract

Belajar di rumah selama pandemi merupakan suatu aktivitas yang tidak bisa dihindari oleh anak-anak sekolah dari berbagai tingkatan sekolah, semua media pembelajaran menjadi terfokus pada sistem daring atau online sebagai penghubung antara pihak guru kepada murid dan wali murid. Orang tua menjadi terlibat aktif dalam proses belajar anak dalam memahami materi dan mengerjakan tugas-tugas dari sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran orang tua dalam memberikan pendampingan terhadap anak selama belajara di rumah (pembelajaran daring) selama pandemi. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua (ibu) yang bekerja, berusia 30-43 tahun, dan memiliki 2-3 orang anak. Responden terdiri dari 4 orang wali murid dari Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 6 Sukoharjo, pengambilan data melalui wawancara langsung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa di masa pandemi orang tua (ibu) berperan aktif menggantikan sosok guru saat belajar dari rumah serta memastikan fasilitas penunjang seperti hp dan laptop selalu siap digunakan oleh anak. Interaksi antara orang tua (ibu) dan anak menghadirkan kedekatan fisik serta emosional dan komunikasi yang hangat, sehingga terbangun pemahaman anak tentang nilai dan norma hidup.

Abstract

Kue semprit merupakan kue berbahan utama terigu yang mengandung gluten, yang dapat memicu risiko obesitas dan sindrom metabolik jika dikonsumsi dalam jumlah banyak. Penggunaan tepung sukun sebagai pengganti terigu karena tidak mengandung gluten. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh substitusi tepung sukun terhadap mutu kimia (kadar air, abu, protein) serta sifat organoleptik (tekstur, aroma, rasa) kue semprit. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan A0 (0% tepung sukun), A1 (25% tepung sukun), A2 (50% tepung sukun) dan A3 (75% tepung sukun). Kue semprit berpengaruh pada sifat organoleptik (P<0,05) kecuali aspek tekstur. Kue semprit memenuhi standar SNI 01-2973-2011. Pada aspek aroma semakin banyak substitusi tepung sukun, maka aroma khas sukun makin meningkat. Pada aspek rasa, perlakuan A0 dan A1 cukup disukai oleh panelis. Penambahan tepung sukun dapat menjadi alternatif pengganti tepung terigu serta meningkatkan nilai guna buah sukun.

Abstract

Kadar alkohol, kadar keasaman dan karakteristik organoleptik merupakan salah satu ciri khas yang penting untuk diperhatikan pada tape ketan putih. Perendaman ekstrak nanas merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan kualitas tape ketan putih. Oleh karena itu dilaksanakan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perendaman ekstrak nanas dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap kadar keasaman, kadar alkohol dan karakteristik organoleptik tape ketan putih. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimen rancangan acak lengkap, dengan 4 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar alkohol tertinggi 1,84%. Kadar pH paling asam (pH 4) pada tape dengan penambahan ragi 0,5 gram dan perendaman ekstrak nanas 100 ml. Karakteristik organoleptik terbaik didapatkan oleh tape dengan perendaman ekstrak nanas 100 ml. Kandungan enzim bromelin pada ekstrak nanas mempengaruhi peningkatan kadar alkohol, kadar keasaman dan karakteristik organoleptik tape ketan putih. Selanjutnya diperlukan penelitian untuk menentukan durasi fermentasi yang tepat dalam menggunakan perendaman ekstrak nanas sehingga dihasilkan tape ketan putih yang unggul secara kualitas.

Abstract

Questionnaires are commonly utilized on educational research. However, studies on Differential Item Functioning (DIF) and calibration using Rasch Models are still limited. Therefore, a Self-regulated Learning questionnaire was developed which aims to determine the ability of students to regulate themselves to achieve learning goals. The instrument consists of twelve items. The involved participants were 300 students who enrolled in first-year to fourth-year. Data were analyzed using Racsh Model Analysis with Winsteps 4.5.2 software. As a result, there are four items that were not fit, so that, therefore should be eliminated or revised. The DIF analysis found that gender bias was unidentified, but long-study bias was detected for items number one and six. The reliability value of the item is categorized as very good (0.99), which indicates that the instrument has sufficient consistency/reliability. While, the function curve showed that the items on the self-regulated learning questionnaire produce optimal information in individuals with moderate (θ) ability. Overall, self-regulated learning questionnaires have to be revised then tested on different sample groups. In addition, longitudinal and cross-sectional research is necessary to determine the level of self-regulated learning of students more comprehensively.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah mempengaruhi domain pendidikan dalam skala global. Tantangannya adalah bagaimana menyesuaikan pelaksanaan microteaching agar dapat dilaksanakan secara daring dan luring terbatas pada Era New Normal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian perencanaan, proses pembelajaran dan penilaiannya, serta hasil belajar mahasiswa pada pembelajaran microteaching. Evaluasi dilaksanakan dengan Model Countenance Stake. Pembelajaran microteaching berhasil dilaksanakan dengan baik di era new normal. pada tahap anteseden (perencanaan pembelajaran dan fasilitas) diperoleh persentase sebesar 91,3%, tahap transaksi (pelaksanaan pembelajaran) diperoleh persentase 86,2%, dan pada outcome (penilaian hasil belajar) diperoleh persentase 100% lulus. Penggunaan tiga metode yaitu daring, luring dan asinkronus mendapatkan respon positif dari mahasiswa. Yang menarik, sesi microteaching yang paling dipilih mahasiswa adalah daring, sedangkan secara luring menempati urutan kedua. Pada pembelajaran microteaching selanjutnya, pasca pandemi pembelajaran luring, disarankan menggunakan dua metode yaitu luring dan daring. Mahasiswa perlu disiapkan untuk transformasi preferensi pembelajaran daring di masa depan dengan teknologi yang lebih maju. Walaupun praktik luring akan tetap memegang porsi yang lebih besar.

Abstract

This research aims to synthesize empirical findings on high school teachers' digital communication competence through a meta-analytic approach, addressing inconsistencies in existing literature and the urgent need to enhance educators' digital literacy. The study investigates the conclusions of 42 articles published between 2008 and 2022, focusing on the theme of digital communication competence. A systematic review was conducted using the PRISMA framework, involving a three-stage process of identification, screening, and inclusion of relevant studies. The analysis revealed a common true effect size across all studies, but significant variability in effect sizes, with a variance (τ²) of 421.92 and a standard deviation (τ) of 20.5408. The Q-Profile indicated substantial heterogeneity (Q=6090163.73, p=0, I²=100%), highlighting inconsistencies in the conclusions drawn from the pooled articles. Additionally, the funnel plot analysis showed skewness, indicating potential publication bias. These findings underscore the need for further research to explore the interaction between pedagogical and technological knowledge, ultimately aiming to improve digital communication competence among high school teachers. The study concludes that addressing these inconsistencies is crucial for developing effective strategies to enhance educators' digital literacy in an increasingly digital educational landscape.
