Abstract

Beef price in Jakarta has increasing trends caused by the long chain distribution. The big gap of beef price between producer and consumer showed the distribution chains are less efficient. The objectives of this research to study of distribution channels, marketing margin, the efficiency of marketing and price transmission elasticity of beef in Jakarta. The analytical methods used include margin distribution approach and Cobb Douglas function. Based on the observations, beef and beef cattle distribution channel in traditional markets are: small farmer / beef cattle importir, feedlot industry, regional wholesaler, butcher, slaughter house, grocer, and small retailer. Meanwhile on the modern market are: beef cattle importir/breeding farm and local cattle feedlotter, feedlot industry, slaughter company + beef supplier and modern market stores. Pattern one of live cattle distribution channel has higher marketing margins from small farmer to regional wholesaler and to the butcher with value of 69.73%. The highest marketing margin value of meat distribution is in pattern two from the slaughter company and beef supplier to modern market, then to consumer with value of 39%. Marketing efficiency value to the traditional market beef was 3.47%, meanwhile to the modern market stores was 16.11%. The price transmission elasticity in the six regions of the beef cattle supplier on the meat price at the retail level in Jakarta were 0.788 (Jawa Tengah), 0.923 (Jawa Timur), 0.943 (Jogjakarta), 0.751 (Lampung), 0.762 (NTB), and 0.767 (NTT).Keyword: beef cattles, beef distribution, marketing margin, markerting efficiency, price transmition elasticity

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on livestock businesses and SMEs processing derivative products from cattle, goats, and sheep with a decrease in sales levels, along with the decline in people's purchasing power. This is evidenced by the low level of household consumption which only grew by 2.84% in the first quarter of 2019-2020 compared to the first quarter of 2018-2019 which reached 5.020. This condition is very influential on the sustainability of SME business.The development of marketing strategies is one of the alternative solutions that are expected to help farmers and SMEs entrepreneurs in the processed of derivative products to survive and develop their business. Not stopping at the application of digital marketing application only, research on measuring the consumer satisfaction index is also carried out related to the products marketed and the use of digital marketing applications is expected to help obtained information related to the marketing goals to be achieved and find out the amount of consumer satisfaction index resulting from services that have been provided and products consumed. The research that using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) analysis method showed a consumer satisfaction value index of 80.523% which has meaning that consumer has already feel satisfied. Among the attributes that has been tested showed the highest satisfaction values were product taste (86.0%), price (85.33%) while those attributes that needed to be improved performance were on size variations (72.67%) and promotions (74.0%). ABSTRAKPandemi Covid 19 berdampak cukup signifikan bagi usaha peternakan dan UKM pengolah produk turunan dari sapi, kambing, dan domba dengan penurunan tingkat penjualan, seiring dengan penurunan daya beli masyarakat. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan rendahnya tingkat konsumsi rumah tangga yang hanya tumbuh 2,84% pada triwulan I tahun 2019-2020 dibandingkan triwulan I tahun 2018-2019 yang mencapai angka 5,02. Hal ini tentu saja sangat berpengaruh terhadap keberlangsungan usaha UKM. Pengembangan strategi pemasaran menjadi salah satu alternatif solusi yang diharapkan mampu membantu para peternak dan pengusaha UKM bidang olahan produk turunan ini untuk tetap dapat bertahan dan mengembangkan usahanya. Tidak berhenti pada aplikasi penerapan pemasaran digital saja, penelitian mengenai pengukuran terhadap indeks kepuasan konsumen juga dilakukan berkaitan dengan produk yang dipasarkan dan penggunaan aplikasi digital marketing ini diharapkan dapat membantu memperoleh informasi terkait sasaran pemasaran yang ingin dicapai serta mengetahui besaran indeks kepuasan konsumen yang dihasilkan dari layanan yang telah diberikan dan produk yang dikonsumsi. Penelitian yang menggunakan metode analisis Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) ini menunjukkan indeks nilai kepuasan konsumen sebesar 80,523% yang menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata konsumen telah merasa puas. Diantara atribut-atribut yang diuji yang menunjukkan nilai kepuasan tertinggi adalah rasa (86,0%), harga (85,33%) sementara yang perlu ditingkatkan kinerjanya adalah pada variasi ukuran (72,67%) dan promosi (74,0%).

Abstract

This community service was carried out as an effort to revive the tourism sector by developing an agro-based tourism village in Benteng Village by identifying the perceptions of tourism village managers, constraints and impacts, and program sustainability. This activity seeks to construct perceptions of agro-tourism activities, media promotion, and the development of agro-based tourism. The readiness of managers to become part of the identified consists of long-time readiness to receive visitors, service ethics to visitors, aspects of security, comfort, and cleanliness as well as readiness for agro-tourism activities. Data collection was carried out through literature, participatory studies, interviews, and distributing questionnaires with a purposive sampling technique to 18 respondents managing the Benteng tourism village. Data analysis used descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative methods. Based on the assessment of the Benteng Village manager, harvesting activities, enjoying the landscape, photography, interpretation programs, and shopping for agricultural products are agro-based tourism activities that can be carried out in Benteng Village. Promotional videos are the highest choice for promoting village potential and managers say they are ready to receive visitors 1‒3 hours and a week. The manager also stated that he was ready regarding the ethics of service to visitors, security, comfort, and cleanliness including implementing health protocols (prokes) and being ready to develop agro-tourism activities. Implementation constraints are technical in nature and post-pandemic conditions that require adjustments in various aspects. Development of tourism potential through an integrated approach by collaborating involving various parties including universities as well as massive promotion using the right media so that agro-based tourism activities in Benteng Village can be sustainable.
