Abstract

The Regional Development Bank is one of the banking institutions in Indonesia where ownership of shares is in the hands of the Regional Provincial Government. The measurement of the level of profitability can use the ratio of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), and Loan To Deposit Ratio (LDR).The study was conducted to determine the effect of the capital adequacy ratio, non-performing loan, and loan to deposit ratio on the profitability of Regional Development Banks (BPD) in Sulawesi Island. The data used is inferior data obtained indirectly through the official website of each Regional Development Bank. Research testing is done by using panel data regression. The results of the research test found that based on the F statistical test, a probability value of 0.000416 was obtained, indicating that the CAR, NPL and LDR variables had a significant effect on ROA simultaneously. While in the T test, the Capital Adequacy Ratio variable has a positive and significant effect on the profitability of Regional Development Banks in Sulawesi Island. Meanwhile, the other two variables, namely the Non-Performing Loan and Loan To Deposit Ratio have a positive and insignificant effect on the profitability of Regional Development Banks in Sulawesi Island.

Abstract

Banks as financial institutions need to maintain their performance in order to operate optimally. Moreover, Islamic banks must compete with conventional banks which are dominant and growing rapidly in Indonesia. This increasingly sharp and tight competition must be accompanied by good and orderly management in order to survive in the banking industry for a long time. One of the factors that must be considered by a bank in order to survive is the bank's financial performance. Comparison of the financial performance of conventional banks and Islamic banks is carried out using financial ratios in the form of the dependent variable ROA and the independent variables CAR, NPL/NPF, LDR/FDR taken from annual reports for the 2011-2020 periods. The analysis technique used panel regression. The result obtained is that there is a significant difference in the level of bank soundness between conventional banks and Islamic banks. Based on a comparison of financial ratio analysis, the financial performance of conventional banks is better in terms of the LDR/FDR ratio, while the financial performance of Islamic banks is better in terms of CAR and NPL/NPF ratios.

Abstract

Islamic banks operated based on Islamic principles and were more affected by the Covid-19 pandemic than conventional banks because of their higher fee structure. However, to restore the economy, more and more non-Muslim entrepreneurs are applying for business financing at Islamic banks. This study aimed to determine the factors that strongly influence the interest of non-Muslim creative entrepreneurs in Malang to apply for financing at Islamic banks. Using a sample of 112 creative entrepreneurs selected by accidental purposive sampling, the quantitative data obtained from distributing the questionnaires was finally analyzed using PLS-SEM high-level analysis. The study's results divulged four strong factors that influence the interest of non-Muslim creative entrepreneurs in applying for financing at Islamic banks: social influence, reputation, promotion, and services. In contrast, the other four factors did not have a strong effect. Future research is expected to consider the type of financing selected as a control variable.

Abstract

One of the fiscal policy strategies used by the government to strengthen the economy and national security is military expenditure. There are many inconsistencies in the results of research examining the influence of military expenditure on economic growth, and it is still rare to find research that validates the influence of military expenditure on the exchange rate. Through time series data in Indonesia during the 1999-2021 period, this research validates the relationship between these three variables using Two-stage Least Square (2SLS) Regression Analysis. The estimation results using econometric models provide empirical evidence of the strength of military expenditure in influencing economic growth and the exchange rate, although the level of influence on economic growth is much higher than the exchange rate. It is recommended that further research carry out a Granger causality test and a Johansen cointegration test to determine the term of the causal relationship between the three variables studied.

Abstract

Beauty industry sector in Indonesia can be used as a profitable investment location for both local and foreign investors. The Investment growth levels in a country can be influenced by the level of economic growth in the country concerned. The capital market is an activity that occurs in the economic market which is used for various financial instruments that have long term terms with a time span of more than 1 year. A share is a sign of participation in capital that has been invested by a person or business entity in the company concerned. Inflation itself can be said to be a a situation when the price of an item is experiencing increase that occurs continuously and also occurs globally. In general, the rupiah exchange rate is a value or can also be called the price level of a country's currency which can be measured and expressed in another country's currency. The interest rate is an interest rate that has been determined and then issued by Bank Indonesia (BI) for the issuance of securities or certificates that will also be issued by Bank Indonesia. The research being carried out also has a goal, namely to be able to analyze the independent variables, namely inflation, the rupiah exchange rate and interest rates which can influence the dependent variable, namely the share price of the company PT Mustika Ratu Tbk. The method that can be used is Ordinary Least Squares (OLS). Data processing results show that this inflation rate variable can influence, but not significantly, the level of share prices in PT Mustika Ratu Tbk. The rupiah exchange rate has a significant effect influence on the share price of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk. The interest rate variable has no influence on the share price of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk.
