Abstract

Phobia according to the view of the theory ofPsychoanalysis of Freud is self-defense to counter fears that inproduction forced by the id impulses. Phobias against rice canbe so will affect the physical conditions. On the other hand, thephobia of rice can also affect socio emotions. This research isconducted to find out how the physical development and socioemotional of student on grade V SD with the symptoms ofspecific phobias against rice. This research use the qualitativeapproach, which a greater emphasis on the phenomenon ofexisting problems in the field. The model used in this study is amodel case study. Participants in this study have symptoms ofphobia against rice, he dodged if there is rice in the vicinity andangry if there is rice stuck to his body. Phobias against rice notto disturb its physical development. Phobias of rice affects thedevelopment his temper only when he is confronted bycircumstances related to the rice that is shows reactions avoidand angry.

Abstract

The low level of students’ understanding of Tulungagung local culture indicates the need for learning media that are contextual, engaging, and relevant to the learning experiences of elementary school students. This study aims to develop Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)-based LOCAWITA multimedia and to test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving understanding of Tulungagung local culture among Grade V elementary school students. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 30 Grade V students of SDN 2 Sukorejo Wetan. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and local culture understanding tests through pretest and posttest. The results showed that LOCAWITA multimedia obtained a validity level of 92%, categorized as very valid. The practicality of the media was indicated by teacher responses of 96% and student responses of 90%, categorized as very practical. The students’ average score increased from 60.83 in the pretest to 89.58 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant increase in local culture understanding after the use of the media. The conclusion of this study affirms that CTL-based LOCAWITA multimedia is declared valid, practical, and effective for improving understanding of Tulungagung local culture among Grade V elementary school students. These findings imply the use of CTL-based multimedia as an alternative contextual learning medium that supports the preservation of local culture in elementary schools.

Abstract

Although the material on My Regional Cultural Heritage has an important role in strengthening students’ understanding of local cultural identity, the use of less varied instructional media still results in low student interest and active participation in the learning process. This study aims to develop gamification-based HISTO-LADDER instructional media for the My Regional Cultural Heritage material for fifth-grade elementary school students and to determine its level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research participants consisted of media experts, material experts, fifth-grade teachers, and fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Klagen. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests, and were then analyzed to determine the level of media validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The results showed that the HISTO-LADDER media obtained an average validity percentage of 86.85%, categorized as very valid, and an average practicality percentage of 86%, categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test results showed an improvement in students’ learning outcomes, as indicated by an increase in the mean pre-test score from 57.9 to 75.8 in the post-test and the results of the Paired Sample T-test with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). These findings indicate that gamification-based HISTO-LADDER media are feasible for use as innovative instructional media for the My Regional Cultural Heritage material. The conclusion of this study affirms that HISTO-LADDER media are very valid, very practical, and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes. The implications of this study provide alternative instructional media that are more engaging, interactive, and contextual for elementary school teachers in supporting local culture-based learning.

Abstract

Students’ low understanding of historical relics and the limited connection between the material and the surrounding cultural environment indicate the need for learning media that are contextual, engaging, and relevant to elementary school students’ learning experiences. This study aims to develop a Digital Flipbook based on Kediri local wisdom and to test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students’ learning outcomes on historical relics material in fifth-grade elementary school. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 37 fifth-grade students at SDN Sukorame 2 Kediri City, including 10 students in the limited trial and 27 students in the broad trial. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests through pretest and posttest. The results of the study show that the Digital Flipbook based on Kediri local wisdom obtained a validity level of 94% in the highly valid category. The practicality of the media was shown by teacher responses of 94% and student responses of 93%, both of which were in the highly practical category. The students’ mean score increased from 64.81 in the pretest to 91.85 in the posttest. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant improvement in learning outcomes after the use of the media. The conclusion of the study affirms that the Digital Flipbook based on Kediri local wisdom is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes on historical relics material in fifth-grade elementary school. The implications of this study indicate that digital learning media based on local wisdom can serve as an alternative form of contextual learning that supports improved learning outcomes while introducing and preserving regional cultural heritage among students.
