Abstract

Maintaining the documents of an institution is an important factor for the survival of an organization. So far, documents are usually manually managed both in maintenance and storage. The Electronic Document Management System application web application can be utilized to assist in managing and maintaining all documents generated from all organizational, administrative and academic activities. The use of applications in managing and maintaining documents will have many advantages and benefits of them, the document will be easier when it will be accessed or used for various purposes. By using the application then the security of documents in terms of damage, especially physical damage can be avoided. The focus of this research is Electronic Documents Management System Application Oriented Application Standard Accreditation BAN BAN PT. Application developed web-based, the importance of Electronic Documents Management System application because BAN PT as the institution in charge of assessing the quality of the college institution will refer based on the documents that have been produced by a college. The use of BAN PT standard form as an orientation in the development of this application because access to the document quickly is needed at accreditation process both institution and study program. The method of developing a software application system using Unified Process (UP) method with constraint to Construction step from Unified Proces by using UML modeling. This research has resulted in the application Electronic Documents Management System oriented standard accreditation form BAN PT. In testing the application with 4 (four) scenarios all have been running well, so the application generated in this study has been in accordance with the needs of users. Keywords: Application development, Electronic Documents Management System, Standard Borang PT, UP and UML.

Abstract

The need for reliable and extensive network infrastructure in a military environment, especially in Jasdam II Sriwijaya, is becoming increasingly important along with the security tasks and challenges faced. This research aims to design a network that meets military standards and performance by applying the Top-Down method. The Top-Down method in the context of network design, along with network needs analysis in a military environment. Through this approach, this research aims to strengthen operations and expand the network in Jasdam II Sriwijaya. The research methodology includes data collection on network needs, needs analysis, Top-Down design, implementation, and testing. The expected results of this research are the design of a network structure at 3 locations that are in accordance with well-defined military needs, as well as expanding network communications in a military environment, measuring how well the network is using the QoS method. This research provides optimal network infrastructure development in JASDAM II Sriwijaya, with the potential for a wider scale.

Abstract

The utilization of internet-based computer networks has become a fundamental necessity for supporting human activities in the modern era. This is particularly evident in various institutional activities, especially in academic settings such as colleges and schools, which heavily rely on internet network services. However, employing a large network segment with numerous hosts leads to excessive broadcast packet traffic. This issue is further compounded when the network is a flat network that lacks functional grouping for services and devices. To address these challenges, a network migration is necessary: shifting the existing Flat Local Area Network (LAN) to a hierarchical model based on the Cisco Enterprise Model, specifically employing the Enterprise Campus Area approach. This hierarchical design divides the LAN into several network layers, establishing more efficient Broadcast Domains and dedicated service functions, resulting in a system that is more modular and well-managed. The network was designed using the Top-Down method. The resulting design blueprint for the computer network system at STIK Bina Husada Palembang is intended to serve as a reference for future network planning and development.
