Abstract

Monitoring business projects is very important to ensure project performance goes according to plan. PT Gerbang Sinergi Prima (GSP) is one of the subsidiaries of the Pension Fund of PT PLN (Persero), which is engaged in Information and Communication Technology. Currently, GSP monitors project performance in a conventional way, which creates several challenges, such as difficulties in monitoring project progress and development. This study aims to develop a backend as an admin dashboard for a business project monitoring system using the Scrum method. Unlike other studies, this research also tests the results obtained with three tests, namely Black-Box Testing, Unit Testing, and Performance Testing. As a result, we built a backend admin dashboard for business project monitoring that supports GSP in real-time monitoring the progress of business projects. Furthermore, testing will also be conducted on the backend admin dashboard. The Scrum method was implemented with excellent results. Feature functionality testing using black-box testing gets a percentage of 100%. API testing using unit testing receives a percentage of 100%. The average response time obtained after executing performance testing is 2896.72ms, which means the results are feasible. Overall, the process of development and testing received excellent results.

Abstract

Most of previous studies implemented the responsive design approach for the web-based application platform only since it had several difficulties to apply in the mobile-based application platform. In addition, the mobile application required different codebases since there were several platforms like Android and iOS. However, this study tried to redevelopment the Proxsis Workspace website to mobile application with responsive design and multiplatform approaches using Flutter Framework, in order to explore the potentials and counter the difficulties these two approaches for mobile development. In addition, we provide the detailed improvement, and the software testing results of our redevelopment app. Eight participants were participated in this study to measure the improvement of the redevelopment application. The results showed that the redevelopment version of the Proxsis Workspace could implement the responsive design and multiplatform approaches well. Furthermore, the software testing found that the redevelopment version passed the responsive design and multiplatform testing. In addition, there was significant different and enhancement of the usability score from 52.50 with marginal category to 72.81 with acceptable category. Hence, the authors suggest implementing the responsive design and multiplatform with Flutter Framework to enhance and make efficient with single code base only.

Abstract

Latest advancements in information technology have been widely utilized in various sectors, including the processing and storage of corporate data. Data is an important asset for companies, like the PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (Smartfren), a leading telecommunication service providers in Indonesia. One crucial dataset at the Smartfren Surabaya branch office is Network Power System (NPS) data, which is currently manually input and stored in Microsoft Excel, causing inefficiency and risk of human error. This study aims to create a website to manage NPS data using the Extreme Programming (XP) method. By doing so, NPS data with more than three thousand records can be easily processed and stored systematically. The research' procedure based on XP includes planning, design, coding, and testing with Black-box and User Acceptance testing with three iterations. Black-box testing result showed a 100% functionality level in each iteration, and User Acceptance Testing results were 87.09% in the first iteration, 87.27% in the second, and 92% in the third. Therefore, this confirms that the NPS website system successfully meets standards and the users’ needs. Hence, this study demonstrated the advantages of transitioning from manual way to web-based systems and developed using XP method to evolving the user needs.
