Abstract

Air pollutant is a physical, chemical, and biological substance that can endanger the health and can cause disease in living beings. Therefore, knowledge about air quality is very important. This research aims to implement a wireless sensor network for monitoring air quality, from three different location points which are presented in the form of a website. The communication used between the client and server is the Webscoket.io communication protocol, to reduce network latency. In addition, the communication protocol works in real-time because not only the client can send a request to the server, but also can receive a response without having to send a request first. The research method used is the experimental method, which is divided into two stages namely hardware design stage and server software, microcontroller and user client design stage. The results obtained are prototyping tools used to implement wireless sensor networks for monitoring air quality using Raspberry Pi as a server and Arduino ESP-8266 as a microcontroller module. The tools have performed well as intended. In the trial, a reading of gas (CO2 and CO) sensors, temperature and humidity at the location being tested were successfully displayed on the website.

Abstract

Kekeruhan merupakan tolak ukur dasar yang mengindikasikan bahwa air dalam keadaan kurang layak digunakan. Kekeruhan adalah ketika air bercampur dengan zat-zat ataupun partikel lainnya. Sebagai penyuplai air bersih untuk masyarakat, PDAM (Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum) berusaha semaksimal mungkin agar kualitas air yang disalurkan ke masyarakat tetap terjaga kelayakannya. Untuk itu, operator PDAM memonitor tingkat kekeruhan dan melakukan tindakan menutup katup air masukan, jika air sumber yang masuk pada bak penampungan terlihat keruh. Proses ini dilakukan secara visual, sehingga memerlukan ketelitian dan waktu kerja 24 jam. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, maka dibuatlah rancang bangun model katup cerdas sebagai pengendali bak penampungan air PDAM. Sistem ini akan mengontrol buka tutup katup secara otomatis berdasarkan tingkat kekeruhan air yang masuk pada kolam/bak penampungan. Sebagai pusat pengendali digunakan mikrokontroler Arduino Uno dan sensor kekeruhan (turbididty sensor) SKU:SEN0189 serta LCD 16x2 sebagai penampil menu dan tingkat kekeruhan. Penutupan katup terjadi pada saat sistem mendeteksi kekeruhan air yang melebihi batas nilai yang telah ditetapkan. Setelah itu sistem akan mengirimkan pesan informasi teks (SMS) melalui modul GSM A6 kepada operator. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem dapat bekerja dengan baik, yaitu menutup katup air masukan apabila tingkat kekeruhan dideteksi melebihi referensi, sekaligus juga sistem mengirim SMS ke operator

Abstract

school teachers on the implementation of ICT-based learning models. In accordance with the Ministerial Regulation number 37 of 2018. The target of this activity is for primary school teachers to create TIK-based learning tools that are easy and simple to use to improve the knowledge and skills of the training participants, which will have a positive impact on improving student skills and learning outcomes. In addition, through this activity, the creation of TIK-based learning tools by participating teachers is targeted by applying TIK-based learning models in learning for each subject in primary school. The method is by conducting training on the implementation of ICT-based learning models for primary school teachers in the coastal areas of Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province, such as the use of learning videos using Canva, and also related to gamification for learning. This activity begins with the provision of basic material related to learning media, followed by practice in creating Canva-based learning videos, and ends with practice in creating gamification-based learning media using the Wordwall application. Abstract

The application of hybrid energy power plants is one solution to save electricity cost in buildings of government agencies, industries, and universities. The problem with using hybrid power plants that use solar energy sources and paid electricity networks is that sunlight energy cannot produce energy consistently from sunrise to sunset. Maximum energy can only be obtained when the sun is vertically acceptable to the photovoltaic (PV). This results in electrical loads having to be disconnected or switched back to the grid. The application of an electrical power sharing system synchronization controller system (SCS) can automatically regulate the use of electrical energy to low PV energy. The results of research on the application of hybrid PV using the SCS system with a rooftop solar panel system at the Gorontalo State University Building can produce a total electrical power of 600,975 kWh. The need for electrical power from January to September 2022 amounted to 859,151 kWh. The SCS hybrid power plant can reduce the use of paid electrical energy and its costs by 83.60%. The investment, operational, and maintenance cost requirement is IDR 10,747,886,801. The return on investment (ROI) analysis results show that the return on investment can be achieved for up to 34 years.

Abstract

Digitalisasi dalam administrasi desa merupakan langkah penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi kerja aparat desa. Dalam konteks modern yang semakin mengandalkan teknologi, penerapan sistem digital di tingkat desa menjadi sangat relevan dan mendesak. Dengan semakin kompleksnya tugas dan tanggung jawab yang diemban oleh aparat desa, digitalisasi tidak hanya memberikan solusi praktis, tetapi juga berpotensi untuk mengubah cara kerja yang lebih efektif dan transparan. Melalui digitalisasi, proses administrasi yang sebelumnya memakan waktu dan rentan terhadap kesalahan dapat dikelola dengan lebih baik, sehingga meningkatkan pelayanan kepada masyarakat. pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan aplikasi pengelolaan surat di Desa Tunggulo, yang diharapkan dapat mempercepat alur surat-menyurat dan mengurangi kesalahan administratif. Hal ini sangat signifikan mengingat surat-menyurat adalah salah satu aktivitas utama dalam administrasi desa yang seringkali menghambat kinerja aparat desa. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, diharapkan setiap surat dapat diproses dengan cepat dan akurat, sehingga pelayanan kepada masyarakat menjadi lebih responsif.  Metode yang digunakan dalam meliputi observasi langsung, serta pelatihan. Observasi langsung memungkinkan untuk melihat langsung bagaimana aplikasi digunakan dalam praktik sehari-hari serta pelatihan yang diberikan juga menjadi aspek krusial dalam pengabdian ini, karena memastikan bahwa aparat desa tidak hanya memahami cara menggunakan aplikasi, tetapi juga dapat memaksimalkan fungsionalitasnya. Melalui pendekatan ini, pengabdian ini tidak hanya berfokus pada implementasi teknologi, tetapi juga pada pengembangan kapasitas sumber daya manusia di tingkat desa. Diharapkan hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan efisiensi waktu pengelolaan surat bagi aparat desa setelah implementasi aplikasi tersebut. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan digitalisasi tidak hanya bergantung pada teknologi yang diimplementasikan, tetapi juga pada kesiapan dan kemampuan aparat desa dalam mengadaptasi teknologi tersebut ke dalam rutinitas kerja mereka. Dengan demikian, untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal, perlu ada strategi berkelanjutan yang melibatkan pelatihan dan evaluasi berkala terhadap penggunaan aplikasi. In a modern context that increasingly relies on technology, the implementation of digital systems at the village level is very relevant and urgent. With the increasingly complex tasks and responsibilities carried out by village officials, digitalization not only provides practical solutions, but also has the potential to change the way of working to be more effective and transparent. Through digitalization, administrative processes that were previously time-consuming and prone to errors can be better managed, thereby improving services to the community. This service aims to optimize the use of letter management applications in Tunggulo Village, which is expected to speed up the flow of correspondence and reduce administrative errors. This is very significant considering that correspondence is one of the main activities in village administration that often hinders the performance of village officials. With this application, it is hoped that every letter can be processed quickly and accurately, so that services to the community become more responsive. The methods used include direct observation, as well as training. Direct observation allows for direct viewing of how the application is used in daily practice and the training provided is also a crucial aspect of this service, because it ensures that village officials not only understand how to use the application, but can also maximize its functionality. Through this approach, this service not only focuses on the implementation of technology, but also on developing human resource capacity at the village level. It is expected that the results of this service will show an increase in the efficiency of letter management time for village officials after the implementation of the application. This shows that the success of digitalization does not only depend on the technology implemented, but also on the readiness and ability of village officials to adapt the technology into their work routines. Thus, to achieve optimal results, there needs to be a sustainable strategy that involves training and periodic evaluation of the use of the application.

Abstract

Abstract : Design and Construction of a Kaidipang Vocational School Student Attendance System Using WEB-Based RFID and ESP 8266. This research aims to build a web-based RFID and ESP8266 attendance system. This system uses RFID cards to identify students and store attendance data digitally. The methods used in this research are literature study, observation and experiment. The research results show that the RFID and web-based ESP8266 attendance system can read and process data quickly and accurately, and student attendance is recorded correctly. This system can also operate consistently and does not experience significant disruption. The implementation of an RFID-based and web-based ESP8266 attendance system at SMK Negeri 1 Kaidipang is expected to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of recording student attendance data at SMK 1 Kaidipang, which currently still uses conventional attendance, resulting in time inefficiencies, proneness to loss of absence data, and the use of a lot of paper. and attendance printing costs.

Abstract

Frequently, laptop users forget to disconnect or connect the power supply adapter when the battery needs to be charged or fully charged due to they are too focused on using the laptop. This condition can cause problem with laptop batteries and one of which is overcharging. Thus, keeping the laptop battery healthy is advantageous and one of them is to make it last longer. In addition, when the battery is faulty, the replacement of it also requires a lot of money. To deal with this condition, it is necessary to have a design tool that can automatically cut off the AC voltage on the laptop power supply adapter which will be equipped with software. This current research employed development research method and aimed to create a tool comprising hardware and software that could cut off the AC voltage to the laptop power supply adapter automatically based on the laptop battery percentage status.

Abstract

ft.ung.ac.id adalah sistem informasi yang menjadi media penyebaran informasi dari fakultas teknik UNG. Berdasarkan pengumpulan data awal yang telah dilakukan, belum ada penelitian secara khusus yang terkait dengan evaluasi dan analisis dari segi penerimaan pengguna, manfaat dan kondisi nyata pada sistem informasi ft.ung.ac.id. Sebuah sistem informasi dikatakan layak dan sukses jika memenuhi faktor kemudahan pengguna dan kebutuhan pengguna. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengukur tingkat penerimaan pengguna ft.ung.ac.id melalui pendekatan metode Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) dengan 3 variabel antara lain persepsi kemudahan (Perceived Ease Of Use), pengaruh persepsi kegunaaan (Prceived Usefulness), dan kondisi nyata penggunaan sistem informasi (Actual Usage) dengan total sampel 340 dari total populasi 2.291. Setelah dilakukan pengujian tingkat penerimaan sistem informasi melalui metode TAM, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem informasi ft.ung.ac.id dinyatakan layak digunakan. Pengujian hipotesis memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan dari standar yang telah ditetapkan sebesar 1,967.ft.ung.ac.id is an information system which serves as a media for dissemination of information from thr UNG faculty of engineering. Based on the preliminary data collection that has been conducted, no studies have been conducted specifically to evaluate and analyze user acceptance, benefits, and actual condition of the ft.ung.ac.id system. Information system is considered feasible and successful when it meets the user convenience factor and user needs. The purpose of this study was the measure the level of user acceptance of ft.ung.ac.id trought the tecnology Acceptance moder (TAM) method approach whit tree variables, including Perceived Ease Of Use, the effect of Perceived Usefulness, and the Actual Usage of information system with a total sample of 340 from a total population of 2,291. Furtermoew, after testing the level of acceptance of information system trough the TAM method, it was concluded that the ft.ung.ac.id information system is feasible to use. Hypothesis testing has a significant effect on the predetemined standard of 1,967.

Abstract

Work as a nurse requires direct contact with patients, for example when carrying drugs or changing IVs. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic, awareness to reduce direct contact with patients is increasingly needed. Moreover, direct contact with patients with infectious diseases, such as covid-19. For this reason, it is necessary to create a tool / robot that can connect nurses and patients, especially patients with infectious diseases. In this study, a robot design and implementation was made that can assist nurses in delivering drugs to patients, without having to make direct contact with patients. IoT-based designed robots using NodeMCU, ESP8266 and Blynk. NodeMCU ESP8266 is used as a data processor and smartphones are used as remote controls via the internet. Data from the smartphone is processed by NodeMCU then sends a signal to the robot actuator via the L298N driver motor to drive the wheels. Furthermore, the internet-connected IP camera is used for live streaming on smartphones through the V380 Pro application as a directional guide. Then to prevent collisions, the ultrasonic sensor HCSR04 will send data to NodeMCU ESP8266 if there is an obstacle at a distance of 30 cm in front of the robot, so that the robot will move backwards. The experimental results show that the robot can run well where the robot is controlled by a nurse using the Blynk IoT application and V380 Pro on a smartphone via internet media. Then the test was carried out with two methods, namely smartphones using the robot's local Wi-Fi connection and smartphones using cellular networks. The results showed that the response time of the application command on the smartphone to the robot or viewing video results from the IP Camera was affected by the condition of the internet network used.

Abstract

Rumah merupakan tempat tinggal dan tempat istirahat yang paling nyaman setelah seharian beraktivitas di dalam dan di luar rumah, serta sebagai tempat menyimpan barang berharga dan barang penting lainnya. Akibatnya, masyarakat melakukan banyak upaya untuk melindungi rumah mereka dari pencurian. Ketika aktivitas orang menjadi lebih rumit, orang menjadi lupa akan hal yang tidak terlalu besar. Kita sering melihat lampu rumah masih menyala di siang hari. Hal ini dikarenakan pengontrolan peralatan listrik khususnya pengontrolan peralatan penerangan sekarang berupa sistem kontrol ON/OFF di dalam rumah, dimana seringkali kita lupa untuk memadamkan lampu rumah, yang berakibat pada semakin borosnya penggunaan listrik. Secara teknis teknologi Internet of Things diciptakan dengan tujuan agar urusan manusia dalam kesehariannya menjadi lebih mudah dan terbantu. dimana salah satunya ialah bermanfaat untuk mengendalikan penerangan dan dapat juga digunakan sebagai pengamanan rumah dengan menggunakan smartphone yang diaplikasikan menggunakan komunikasi internet dari darak jauh. Untuk menciptakan sistem pengamanan rumah dan pengendali penerangan ini, diperlukan suatu perangkat yaitu modul NodeMCU ESP8266 yang menjadi penghubung guna menghubungkan alat pada koneksi internet dan aplikasi Blynk IoT yang nantinya akan mengirimkan notifikasi keamanan serta sebagai pengendali penerangan pada smartphone. Berdasarkan hasil eksperimen, sistem pengamanan rumah dan pengendali penerangan yang telah dibuat berhasil mengendalikan penerangan dalam rumah dan dapat mengirimkan notifikasi keamanan melalui aplikasi Blynk IoT pada smartphone. Due to the increasing complexity of people activities, they may forget the little things such as a house whose lights are still on during the day. This is due to the current control of electrical equipment, especially the control of lights, still uses manual ON/OFF switch. Therefore, if people forget to turn off the lights at house, it is very possible that electricity will be wasted. Internet of Things technology is basically created and developed by human to facilitate every job and business in various aspects of life. One of them can be applied in everyday life is being able to control lighting and can also be used as home security from long distances using internet communication via smartphone. To create a home security system and lighting controller, a device such as the NodeMCU ESP8266 module is needed as an intermediary to connect the device to the internet network and the Blynk IoT application which will send security notifications as well as lighting controllers on smartphone. Based on the experiment, the home security system and lighting controller that has been made successfully control the lighting in the house and can send security notifications through the Blynk IoT application on smartphone.
