Abstract

Buah rambutan merupakan salah satu tanaman buah lokal Kabupaten Merauke. Tanaman buah ini dihasilkan di beberapa daerah antara lain daerah Muting, Ulilin, dan Bupul. Hasil produksi tanaman buah rambutan ini diekspor ke beberapa daerah di sekitar kota Merauke seperti Kabupaten Boven Digoel, Kabupaten Mappi, Kabupaten Asmat. Peningkatan jumlah produksi buah rambutan dapat dilakukan dengan cara menjaga agar pohon rambutan tidak terinfeksi hama atau penyakit. Yang mana sejak dini petani harus selalu waspada untuk mengenali hama dan jenis penyakit pada rambutan. Hal ini perlu dilakukan agar tidak terjadi ledakan hama, atau penyakit pada tanaman yang berujung pada berkurangnya jumlah produksi buah. Selama ini petani mengenali jenis penyakit pada tanaman rambutan secara visual atau langsung yaitu dengan mengamati perubahan yang terjadi pada tanaman. Ini membutuhkan waktu dan tenaga tidak sedikit untuk dapat secara intens mengamati perubahan pada tanaman rambutan. Sehingga perlu penelitian untuk membangun aplikasi yang dapat mendeteksi penyakit pada tanaman rambutan. Aplikasi ini mengklasifikasi daun rambutan ke dalam 4 kelas yaitu, kelas daun sehat, kelas penyakit embun jelaga, kelas hama kutu putih, dan kelas hama ulat. Daun rambutan yang diinput akan diproses melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu, pre processing, tahap segmentasi, tahap ekstraksi fitur, dan terakhir tahap klasifikasi penyakit menggunakan metode fuzzy knearest neighbour. Hasilnya aplikasi yang dibangun dapat mengklasifikasikan penyakit pada rambutan dengan tingkat akurasi sebesar 67%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT A certain condition, the abundance of anthropods needed to be information for the application of integrated pest management. The abuudance anthropods obbserveddd using a yellow trap and hole trap. The research was conducted from April until Agustus 2019 for six times with an interval of two weeks. The result show that the abundance of anthropods found is 140 individuals such us of 2 classes,wich are insect class (128 individuals) and Arachnids class (12 individuals). Ordo identification in the insect class found to 6 orders which are Lepidoptera, Orthoptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Homoptera, and Diptera. The high total individuals found were of Lepidoptera orders,in 47 individuals and perform as pests, while order individuals were predators, pollinators, and decomposers. The level of diversity value of 1.42 and an abundance of 100% while the diversity value of the Arachnida class is 0 with an abundance value of 1%. Keywords : Abundance,insect,Arahchninds

Abstract

ABSTRACT purple sweet potato (ipomoea batatas L) is a local commodity that has the potential to be developed to meef food. Shortages. Merauke is one of the best sweet potato producers, so to further increase the production of purple sweet potatoes, cultivation techiques are needed using various types of mulch. This study aims to determine the effect of mulching on the growth and production of purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L). This research was conducted for 4 months, from April to August 2021 in Mandala Village, Merauke Regency, using a randomized block design (RAK) with 4 treatments, 6 replications. The results showed that the application of silver black plastic mulch and imperata mulch had a significant effect on the number of leaves at the age of 1 and 2 weeks, and the observation of the number of branches had a significant effect on the age of 4 weeks, 5 weeks, and 6 weeks, and tuber length, number of tubers and tuber diameter. From various treatments of silver black plastic mulch, rice straw mulch, and weed mulch, it was seen that the treatment of Imperata mulch gave above-average yields during the generative period with a mulch thickness of 5 cm. Abstract

ABSTRACT The Comparison of the use of Dolomite (CaMg) and Building Lime (CaCo3) in Enhancing Mycelium Growth of Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus)” supervised by Ling Irba Djaja, and Johana Anike Mendes. This study aims to determine the difference between the addition of dolomite and carbonate on the growth of the mycelium of oyster mushrooms and pinhead, to find out the best treatment between the addition of dolomite and carbonate for the growth of mycelium of oyster mushrooms and pinhead. This research was carried out at the House of Brawijaya street, Mandala Village, Merauke Regency, from May to July 2021. This study was compiled using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 treatments and repeated 3 times. The results of this study indicate that the administration of dolomite and carbonate has a significant effect on the growth rate of mycelium and has no significant effect on the growth of pinhead. The mycelium growth rate was in treatments D1 and D3 with an average of 27.3 days after planting, while the best pin head growth was in treatment B3 with an average of 24 days after planting. So the results of this study indicate that the administration of dolomite and carbonate has a good effect on the growth of mycelium and pin head of oyster mushrooms. Abstract

Mengembangkan pertanian organik perlu memperhatikan beberapa aspek antara lain kesehatan dan kesuburan tanah, keseimbangan organisme di alam serta dapat memperbaiki kualitas tanaman namun tetap mempertahankan nilai produksi suatu komoditi tanpa menggunakan bahan kimia sintetis. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan kelompok tani di Kampung Yasa Mulya, Distrik Tanah Miring, Merauke tentang pentingnya mengenal hama, musuh alami tanaman padi serta dapat menggunakan bahan tanaman sebagai bahan insektisida nabati. Metode observasi dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan informasi tentang teknik budidaya padi yang diterapkan dan masalah yang dihadapi petani. Selanjutnya dilakukan sosialisasi kepada kelompok tani tentang hama, penyakit, musuh alami serta pelatihan pembuatan insektisida nabati. Tahap evalusi dilakukan melalui hasil uji coba yang telah dilakukan oleh petani. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan sosialisasi diketahui bahwa perilaku petani dalam mengaplikasikan pestisida didasarkan pada pemahaman sendiri, pengalaman teman atau saudara serta kekhawatiran akan gagal panen. Persentase biaya yang dikeluarkan petani untuk membeli pestisida sampai dengan 80%. Selain itu, belum pernah dilakukan tindakan pengendalian lain seperti memanfaatkan bahan-bahan alami atau menggunakan entomopatogen.selain menggunakan pestisida sintetik.

Abstract

Fertilization is one of the efforts made to add nutrients in the soil and can increase plant growth and yield. Currently, organic fertilizers based on local resources have been developed considering the negative impact of excessive inorganic use. The use of fertilizers made from local resources in Merauke Regency is important to develop and study its potential. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential combination of organic fertilizer content based on sago dregs. The study lasted for 1 month with organic fertilizer fermentation carried out at the Agrotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Musamus University and the nutrient levels of organic fertilizers in the form of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, iron, zinc, pH, and water content were analyzed at the Biotrope Laboratory. The treatment in this study consisted of various organic materials in Merauke Regency with the main ingredients of sago dregs, namely lamtoro leaves + pig manure (P1), sago dregs + pig manure (P2), sago dregs + lamtoro leaves (P3), sago dregs + lamtoro leaves. + pig dung (P4), sago dregs + chicken manure (P5) and sago dregs + cow dung (P6). The treatment used a ratio of 2:1 (v/v) on each composition of the treatment material. The results of the analysis show that the nutrient content of organic fertilizer based on sago dregs varies depending on the composition of the material and has the potential to be used to increase crop production. The highest nitrogen, C/N and C-Organic levels were obtained in the treatment of sago dregs + pig manure, the highest phosphorus content was obtained in the treatment of sago dregs + chicken and the highest potassium was found in the composition of lamtoro leaf compost + pig manure.

Abstract

The slender rice bug (Leptocorisa oratorius) is an important pest in Merauke Regency because it can cause a decrease in rice production. Rice plants that are attacked by this pest will produce rice with poor quality, because the color becomes black spots and can calcify. This study aims to determine the level of attack and population density of L. oratorius in the Tanah Miring Merauke District, Papua Province. The method used in this research was purposive sampling. Determination of sampling locations by selecting a paddy field with a minimum size of 1250 m2 on one rice field per variety, then determining 9 sampling points. Sampling of the slender rice bug used an insect net with a diameter of 40 cm which was carried out in 1 double swing at each point measuring 1 x 1 m. The results showed that the average intensity of damage caused by stink bugs in Tanah Miring District was 13.78%. The highest average population density was in Waninggap Miraf village with 46.6 individuals, Yasamulya village, Isanombias village with 44.33 individuals, Yabamaru village with 38.66 individuals, Bersehati village with 38.33 and the lowest was Amunkay village with 30 individuals. While the population average in each observation was highest in the second observation or 55 HST of 46.4 individuals followed by the first observation or 45 HST of 37.4 individuals and the last observation or 65 HST of  29.8 individuals. The most preferred type of variety by the stink bug was Impari 32 (19.76%). Monitoring the development of the slender rice bug population is necessary to prevent the possibility of a population explosion so that it can be controlled earlier.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the population density and intensity of attack of Brown Planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens Stall) and green leafhoppers (Nephotettix virescens) on rice plants of Inpara 2 variety in Bokem Village. The research was conducted from August to October 2022 in the rice fields of Bokem Village, Merauke District. Sampling was carried out on three rice fields with an area of 20 x 40 m divided by five observation sub-plots spread diagonally with a size of 2 x 2 meters. Plant height of Inpara 2 variety at the age of 14 DAP (23.1 cm), 28 DAP (33.2 cm), 42 DAP (53.8 cm), 56 DAP (64 cm) and 70 DAP (70.2 cm) . The number of tillers at the age of 14 days old (3.2 tillers), 28 days old (5.5 tillers), 42 days old (11 tillers) and 56 days old (12.1 tillers). The panicle length of the Inpara 2 rice variety was on average (21.1 cm) while the weight of 1000 grains was 14.7 grams. Brown planthopper population at the age of 14 days after planting (0.19 individuals), 28 days after birth (0.07 individuals), 42 days after birth (0.19 individuals) and 56 days after planting (0.31 individuals) while the green leafhopper population at 14 days old (0.30 individuals) 32 individuals), 28 days old (0.33 individuals), 42 days old (0.25 individuals) and 56 days old (0.01 individuals). Keywords: Pest, Inpara 2, Population,  Brown planthopper, green leafhoppers

Rata-rata kerusakan tertinggi terdapat pada waktu pengamatan 6 MST sebesar   59.17 % , sedangkan kerusakan rendah terdapat pada 1 MST sebesar 8.33%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan jumlah populasi P. xylostella yang masih rendah mampu menyebabkan kerusakan hingga 8.33% tanaman kubis.Kata kunci: Kubis, Merauke, Papua, P. xylostella,
