Abstract

West Sumatera is a disaster prone area, especially disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, floods, tsunamis, and volcanoes. The high potential of natural disasters has consequences for the importance of disaster mitigation efforts. School is an effective tool in shaping of mindset and behavior of students. One effort that can be done is integrate the topic of natural disaster into learning, especially physics learning. Integrating physical matter in learning requires material analysis aimed at making disaster topics integrated in accordance with learning topic. The type of this research is descriptive research. The results of the research indicate that an analysis of the relevance of learning material to the topic of integrated disasters needs to be done so that the integration between teaching material and the topic of disasters is carried out in harmony. Almost all physics learning material can be integrated with the topic of disasters that often hit the West Sumatra region. The classification of material on the topic of integrated disasters is classified into fact and metacognitive material.

Abstract

Online lectures are a learning process utilizing information technology, utilizing the internet as a method of delivery, interaction and facilitation. This study aims to see how the implementation of online learning during the covid-19 pandemic, the perceptions of lecturers and students towards online learning, the obstacles faced during online learning in the Geography Education Study Program. The research is descriptive qualitative. Research respondents are lecturers who teach at the Geography Education Program as many as 12 people and 22 students. Data were collected through google forms and interviews. The results showed that learning was carried out online and face-to-face using the google meet application, zoom meeting, google classroom and whatsapp group, the use of the application according to respondents was easy, respectively 83.3% and 63.6%. The devices used, 83% lecturers use laptops and 53.8% use smartphones, 100% of students use smartphones and 31.8% use laptops. Online learning methods are quite diverse, face-toface through applications, giving materials and assignments, presentations by students individually/groups and application discussion forums. Based on the results of student interviews, it was quite difficult to understand the material, online learning (online) was not effective due to obstacles during online lectures, but 63.6% of students were quite satisfied and 83.3% of lecturers also stated that they were quite satisfied with the online lectures they had carried out. The obstacles that arise during online learning are generally the limitations of the internet network and internet quota.

Abstract

The mathematics learning outcomes of most of the VIII grade students of MTsN Lubuk Buaya have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria. One of the efforts that can be made by the teacher to activate students in learning which can improve student learning outcomes is to apply an active learning strategy of the Listener Team type using Microsoft Powerpoint media. The purpose of this study was to determine the activities and learning outcomes of students' mathematics by implementing an active learning strategy of Listening Team type using Microsoft Powerpoint media. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The population of this study were students of class VIII MTsN Lubuk Buaya. The sampling technique was done by drawing numbers and the selected samples were students of class VIII.2 as the experimental class and class VIII.3 as the control class. The data were first tested for normality, homogeneity test and analysis of variance. The results showed that the mathematics learning outcomes of students who used the application of the Listener Team type active learning strategy using Microsoft Powerpoint media were better than conventional learning in class VIII MTsN Lubuk Buaya. The student activity data was obtained through observations at each meeting in the experimental class which showed that students' mathematics learning activities increased after being taught by implementing an active learning strategy of Listening Team type using Microsoft Powerpoint media in class VIII MTsN Lubuk Buaya.

Abstract

His research begins from phenomena of extended damage that result from flooding in DAS Timbalun. This research is purposed to analyze level of hazard and risk caused by flood and to formulate direction of policies for flood control in Bungus Teluk Kabung district, Padang. This research was descriptive and method using survey with sample area. Unit mapping was unit land that resulted from map overlay of land shape, slope, and land utilization. Unit land in research area was varied so that sample technique used here was stratified random sampling. Research findings show that: (1) level of flood hazard in research area is divided into two zones that are (a) medium level of flood hazard (5,383 Ha), (b) high level of flood hazard (1,170 Ha); (2) level of flood risk in research area is divided into three zones that are (a) low level of flood risk (5,229 Ha), (b) medium level of flood risk (219 Ha) and (c) high level of flood risk (1,035 Ha), (3) direction of flood control policies is prioritized in four alternative policies that are: (a) controlling flood rate of flow by establishing flood embankment to reduce flood risk, (b) improving overall drainage system to reduce level of flood risk, (c) arranging zones of flood level to establish early warning system, and (d) preventing housing development in zone of high level of flood hazard.Keywork: DAS, flood hazard, flood risk and alternative policies

Abstract

Penelitian ini mencoba mengambarkan situasi kegalauan di tengah masyarakat dalam sitem pembelajaran daring (Online). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang mengambarkan kondisi apa adanya, penelitian ini lebih menekankan pada makna dan hasilnya, jenis penelitian ini biasanya digunakan untuk menganalisa kejadian, fenomena, atau keadaan kenyataan sosial. Dalam penelitian kualitatif, data diperoleh dari berbagai macam sumber, teknik pengumpulan data melalui intrument yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, seperti observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah informan yaitu orang yang memberikan gambaran situasi kekinian yaitu social situation atau situasi sosial yang terdiri dari tiga elemen, yaitu tempat (palce), pelaku (actors), dan aktivitas (activity) yang berintekrasi secara sinergis. Lalu dilakukan analisa dan kesimpulan. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah Kecamatan Pauh Kota Padang. Penelitian ini melihat bahwa dalam implementasinya pembelajaran daring (online) ini menuai banyak problema, mengingat lebih jauh banyak orang tua dari murid sekolah dasar yang kurang memahami dan mengerti mengunakan aplikasi ini kalau untuk Sekolah Dasar yang ada di sekitar Kecamatan Pauh Padang ini untuk akses sinyal mungkin tidak begitu terkendala karena terletak di Kota. Dapat dilihat dari hasil penelitian ini pembelajaran daring dapat terlaksana dengan baik apabila adanya kerjasama antara guru, siswa dan orang tua dalam belajar dirumah Akan tetapi saat ini Bagaimanapun keadaanya inilah satu-satunya pilihan ditengah pendemi global Covid -19 ini sebagai solusi dari pemerintah agar proses belajar mengajar tetap berjalan walaupun tidak begitu efektif.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study to analyze and describe data on rainfall, erosivitis rainfall, soil characteristics and the level of erosion hazard in the watershed upstream part of the increase in West Pasaman. This research is classified as descriptive and the method used is survey method with the sample area. Sampling in the retractable in purposive sampling with a selected sample of 10 units of land that is considered to represent the research area. The results showed research area rainfall 2824.4 mm / year, erosivitas rainfall 2367.5 mm / year, the condition of land characteristics on the dusty soil texture in the form of clay, sandy clay loam, sand argillaceous, solum soil depth between 10-70 cm , slope between flat to very steep (5-50%, the highest slope length of 45 meters and the lowest is 6 meters, in the form of crop management, rice, woodland, brown, oil palm and shrubs, conservation techniques in the area of research in the form of traditional terrace and strip plants with contour. the level of erosion hazard in the area of research there are three categories: level erosion hazard medium was contained in land units K1 V Kmb Qh H, hazard heavy erosion level was contained in land units V2 III Kmb Puku H, while the level of erosion was very heavy there at 8 land units that is land units F1 I And Qh Pr, F1 I Kmb Muw Sw, V1 II Kmb Pm Qh, Qh Kmb II Sw V1, V2 Kmb Muwl Pr III, IV Kmb Muwl H V3, V3 IV Kmb Muwm Pm, V3 IV Kmb Qvta Pr.Keywords: land units, watersheds, erosion hazards

Abstract

The observation results show that there is no teaching material in the form of modules used bymathematics teachers at SMAN 1 Painan. Based on the problems and research objectives, this type ofresearch is a quasi experiment. This research was conducted on two groups, namely the experimentalclass using guided inquiry-based modules and the control class using conventional learning. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA SMAN 1 Painan for the academic year 2020/2021 which consisted of 5 classes. To get the sample class, namely the experimental and control classes, the random sampling technique was used. Class X.MIA 4 was chosen as the experimental class and class X.MIA 3 was chosen as the control class. The instrument used was a test consisting of 5 questions on concept understanding tests. The data analysis used the t test because the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, a significance level of 0.0035 was obtained. It means that Ho is rejected, this means that the understanding of students' mathematical concepts taught by using guided inquiry-based modules is better than conventional learning

Abstract

This research is motivated by the monotonous teacher teaching method, which requires students to remember the material without asking to understand the concept of learning mathematics. So that mathematics learning has not achieved the expected results. To solve this problem, the Discovery Learning model (guided discovery) is a solution that will be tried. The goal is that there is a change in student learning attitudes and teacher teaching so that they will get good learning outcomes and achieve KKM. This research model uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods, with a random research design on the subject. The population in this study were students of class VII MTsS Darussalam Amping Parak for the 2020/2021 academic year which consisted of two classes. The sampling technique was carried out randomly, class VIIB as the experimental class and VIIA as the control class. The instrument used in this study was a reliable essay final test. The data analysis technique used is the one-party t test. Hypothesis testing using the one-party t-test, obtained t = 3.21 and t table = 1.67. Because tcount> ttable, this research hypothesis is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students using the Discovery Learning Model are better than the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught using conventional learning in class VII students of MTsS Darussalam Amping Parak for the 2020/2021 academic year

Abstract

This research begins with the problem of low PKN learning outcomes in Class VII2 SMPN 1 Gunung Tuleh. This study aims to determine the results of student learning through learning model Active Learning Type Role Reversal Question. This research includes classroom action research. This study was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings, each of which includes planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques with observation, documentation, and tests. Data analysis conducted in this research is reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of research on that improvement of learning outcomes can be seen from the average value of student evaluation results that have increased in each cycle. Student learning result through learning model of Active Learning Role Type Reversal Question at pre cycle stage of 30,77% (67,77) in cycle I with complete learn student that is 53,85% (72,81) and at cycle II mastery learn student ie 92.31% (82.50). Thus, the Active Learning Model Role Reversal Question model can make students feel easier to understand the material presented by the teacher. The results of this study indicate that the use of Active Learning Model Role Reversal Question type with reword action can improve learning outcomes in class VII2 SMPN 1 Gunung Tuleh.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative reasearch was done in order to find out the development strategy for Sumedang Beach, a tourism site at Ranah Pesisir, Pesisir Selatan District. It was found that the maintenance of public facility around the beach was not mananaged as well as it should be. The accomodation was not enough provided. Moreover, the villagers did not have awareness toward tourism value of their environment. These facts were the bottom line reasons why the researcher conducted this research. The data was obtained by using observation, interview and documentation which were done with Tourism Ministry, Bappeda, villagers and their leaders. The data was analyzed by using SWOT Analysis (Strengths,Weaknes,Opportunities and Threats). The result of the research shown that Pesisir Selatan District need to do: 1) A Counseling for improving and enhancing villagerss awareness about the importance of an awaranesess toward tourism site;2) A Coordination with private sector to obtain an income;3) A Development toward tourism attractions; 4) An Improvement of public facility;5) A Development for tourisms accessibility.Keywords: the development strategy, tourism site, sumedang beach
