Abstract

This research is motivated by the students comprehension of mathematical concepts in learning is low. This research aims to determine: 1) how the development of students comprehension of mathematical concepts using Reciprocal Teaching approach in learning mathematics with Quiz experimental class students in class XI SMKN 1  Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya and; 2) whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts by applying the Reciprocal Teaching approach with better Quiz comprehension of the mathematical concept of students with learning conventional in class XI SMKN 1 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya. The research was an experiment with random design subject. The population in this research is the class XI students enrolled in the school year 2012/2013. Sampling technique is random. The instrument used in this research are quiz and final test in the form of essays. Technical analysis of the data used is the t because two samples are normally distributed and the data are not homogeneous. T test results obtained thitung = 3.17 and ttabel = 1.713 at α = 0.05, thitung> ttabel, it can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts using Reciprocal Teaching approach accompanied Quiz better than conventional learning at SMKN XI 1 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya.

Abstract

This research is in the form of mini research which aims to determine the implementation an independent curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Lendah. This simple research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The informant for this simple research was 1 deputy principal for curriculum. In this simple research, the data collection technique is literature review, obtained from books, scientific articles and documents related to the problem topic, observations and interviews. This simple research was carried out for 1 day on November 2 2023. Based on the results of simple research obtained from interviews at SMA Negeri 1 Lendah, it was said that using the independent curriculum made students, especially class a love of culture and building each other's skills. However, SMA Negeri 1 Lendah also has challenges that must be faced to face this independent curriculum, namely in the aspect of the role of teachers in increasing creativity in creating the projects that will be carried out. Abstract

The manager of the Al-Manar Putri Islamic Boarding School, Pengasih, faces various problems faced by female students in the Islamic boarding school. These problems are considered as factors that hinder the development of the Islamic boarding school. Therefore, this research aims to find out what problems occur at the Al-Manar Putri Islamic Boarding School, Pengasih and how the Islamic boarding school managers overcome these problems. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques for this research use semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation and documentation and use analytical techniques in the form of data reduction, presentation and conclusions. This research revealed that at the Al-Manar Putri Islamic Boarding School, Pengasih, problems were found such as self harm, jealousy between friends, the existence of friendship circles and dating cases and the boarding school management had tried their best to resolve these problems by giving advice, pay more attention to the female students, take them to a psychologist, take them out, analyze and check the problem.

Abstract

The low ability of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Wates in understanding recitation material is the background for this research. Learning media is something that is highlighted because it has an influence on the learning process. Success in learning is influenced by learning media, one of the efforts made to overcome the problem is the use of the spin wheel. This research aims to test the effect of the spin wheel on students' cognitive abilities to understand recitation material. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a quasi-experiment design approach through time series design calculations. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and f-test. The validity of the research shows that there is a positive influence of using the spin wheel in learning recitation on students' cognitive abilities, as evidenced by an increase in the average posttest score tested. The results of the t-test show sig 0.000 or <0.05 and the f-test shows fcount 17.031 or > ftable 4.121, which means there is a significant positive influence of using the spin wheel on students' cognitive abilities.
