Abstract

Supplying nutrient was still difficult problem in developing countries like Indonesia, one of them was the lack of supplying vitamin A. Provitamin A source, especially β- karoten, much β-karoten could be gotten from fruits and vegetables which have yellow or green colour, the others alternative of supplying vitamin A could be gotten from fungus Neurospora sitophila strain in solid tofu waste medium on fermentation process duration and starter concentration which have been adjusted in optimal condition Experimental design used central composite design with two factors (fermentation process duration and starter concentration of fungus Neurospora sitophila) and two responses (β-karoten concentration and spores amount). Variables of fermentation process duration factor were 5,172 days, 6 days, 8 days, 10 days, and 10,828 days, while variables starter concentration factor were 1,757%, 3%, 6%, 9%, and 10,243%.  Analysis which have done, were: β-karoten analysis, spores amount analysis, pH analysis, moisture content analysis, and optimization by response surface method were the research process. The counting result were β-karoten concentration of fungus Neurospora sitophila response had quadratic model Y =  86,18265 + 7,63485 X1 + 1,67998 X2 – 0,41042 X12 –0,086288 X22 – 0,062833 X1X2 with R2 = 95,06% and spores amount of fungus Neurospora sitophila response had quadratic model Y = 10,77813 + 0,11552 X1 + 0,023106 X2 – 6,85906.10-3 X12 – 2,13736.10-3 X22 + 7,79167.10-4 X1X2 with R2 = 98,28%. For the applying of industry, the result of optimal β-karoten concentration was 125,2408 ppm with optimal spores amount was 11,3682 log spora/ml, while optimal fermentation process duration was 9 days with optimal starter concentration was 6,8%.   Key Word : β-karoten, Neurospora sitophila

Abstract

This study discusses about how to evaluate the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) on batik small and medium sized enterprises in Madura. Successful implementation of OHS is influenced by worker behavior and then is measured by a score of worker safety through the intervention program. Intervention program is designed by using behavior-based safety approach that is based on the identification of hazards and risks at workplace. Intervention program is conducted by the provision of personal protective equipment, work standard setting, supervision and understanding improvement of the OHS. The results show that interventions can improve worker safety score from 34% to 56%.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi mempengaruhi perdagangan, transaksi, dan peredaran uang selama ini. Berbagai kemudahan yang ada mengakibatkan semakin berkembangnya electronic commerce (e-commerce). E-commerce menjadi semakin penting dengan adanya kemajuan di bidang telekomunikasi dan jaringan komputer yang terus berkelanjutan. Selain sebagai media informasi dan promosi, e-commerce juga memiliki kelebihan dengan daya jangkau yang luas serta biaya yang dibutuhkan terjangkau. Terdapat 20 buah alasan seseorang mengaplikasikan e-commerce. Ke 20 alasan tersebut dijadikan sebagai variabel penelitian yang melandasi pengaplikasian e-commerce. Setelah dilakukan analisis pemilihan variabel, terdapat 4 variabel yang tidak signifikan yaitu mempermudah transaksi, mengakses pasar global, meningkatkan keuntungan, dan modal tidak terlalu besar. Proses analisis faktor dilakukan pada 16 variabel yang tersisa dan dari proses analisis tersebut diperoleh 6 buah faktor baru antara lain Optimalisasi, Keberagaman Barang, Area Pemasaran, Perluasan Bisnis, Keberagaman Konsumen, serta Promosi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ke 6 faktor tersebut merupakan hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam melakukan implementasi bisnis menggunakan media e-commerce.

Abstract

Risiko proyek infrastruktur dengan pendekatan Kerjasama Pemerintah Swasta relatif besar, karena memiliki masa konsesi dan dipengaruhi oleh faktor makroekonomi. Untuk itu penilaian faktor risiko perlu mendapat perhatian khusus. Risiko yang diteliti di penelitian ini adalah risiko pendapatan pada saat prakonstruksi. Pemodelan risiko pendapatan ini sebagai bahan untuk negosiasi, yang selanjutnya dapat digunakan sebagai model dasar untuk perhitungan dan pertimbangan alokasi, serta mitigasi risiko pada proyek infrastruktur jalan tol. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat bantu berupa metode Delphi yang berfungsi sebagai media untuk diskusi para pakar yang tidak langsung (vitual discussion), fault tree analysis yang berfungsi sebagai pemetaan intuisi para pakar dan digunakan untuk pemodelan konseptual yang dibangun dari kejadian-kejadian penyebab risiko. Hasil top level event tervalidasi di model fault tree analysis yang didapat di penelitian ini adalah: kerugian pendapatan yang disebabkan oleh risiko tarif (event dengan kode A); kerugian pendapatan yang diakibatkan oleh risiko volume lalu lintas/volume lalu lintas sepi (event dengan kode B); kerugian pendapatan yang disebabkan oleh adanya force majeure (event dengan kode C; dan kerugian pendapatan yang disebabkan oleh kejadian-kejadian non-revenue (event dengan kode D).

Abstract

Studi ini mengembangkan perencanaan penjadwalan maintenance mesin dengan menggunakan metode markov chain untuk optimalisasi biaya maintenance untuk mesin produksi filter. Produksi filter pada PT.X memerlukan kurang lebih sekitar 64 mesin. Perusahaan ini harus menjaga performansi dari mesin yang dimiliki agar proses produksi berjalan dengan lancar. Salah satu mesin yang dimiliki PT. X adalah mesin DD10. Selama tahun 2017 hingga 2018 mesin DD10 telah mengalami downtime sebanyak 262 kali. Dimana dengan adanya downtime dapat mempengaruhi perfomansi mesin DD10. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukan. Dengan menggunakan metode markov chain, diperoleh skenario penjadwalan maintenance yang terbaik yaitu skenario 4 (maintenance korektif pada status 4 serta pencegahan pada status 3 dan 2). Dengan menggunakan skenario tersebut dapat melakukan penghematan anggaran kegiatan maintenance sebesar Rp. 404,653.00 dengan interval penjadwalan maintenance pencegahan dilakukan setiap 3 hari.

In the event of Kelompok Tani Ambudi Makmur II has business unit for salacca zalacca in UD. Budi Jaya. Product selling currently only in center store of hand gift in Bangkalan. Besides, others like transfer of knowledge and technology of community service program is the minimum competency of human resource in operating/managing website. The condition due to low education degree of the owner and management SME that just junior high school. Based on the above condition, proposed community service activity namely IbM (Ipteks Bagi Masyarakat) was conducted in order that transfer knowledge and skill in computer field to SME’s Management by considering the constraint relating to human resource. These program are training of basic computer like Microsoft Word and Excell, internet, managing web e commerce. Basic computer needs to support daily administrative operation management such financial report, working report, invitation so on. Meanwhile, IbM’s Program proposed design web e commerce by web account ; www.ambudimakmur.com as medium of promotion and product marketing for salacca zalacca widely. This program also facilitied the training for the owner and SME’s Management as the administrator web in managing and maintaining e commerce included the on line transaction.Key word: salacca zalacca, SME, IbM, e commerce

Abstract

Salt is one of the basic needs of Indonesian society. The salt production areas in Indonesia reach 37.4 thousand hectares, but the potential areas are merely around 53.2%. People's salt production has only been able to meet the need for households' daily consumption, while the industrial need is met from imports. The people's salt production needs to be increased to maintain the sustainability of salt farmers' business. Salt farmers require training about the strategies to improve the quality of salt production, manage finished products, and run the salt business independently. Studies on the analysis of the sustainability of people's salt business, particularly in terms of entrepreneurship aspect, are limited. Therefore, this present study analyzes the sustainability of people's salt business entrepreneurship with three triple bottom line criteria: people, planet, and profit. This study aims to formulate the framework of business strategies suitable for the condition of the salt business. The framework is constructed from the factors synthesized from the literature on previous studies. The results of this study are expected to be implemented by the government and business actors in making a decision and setting policies to determine the strategies for maintaining SMEs' salt business sustainability. This study applied the Analytical Network Process (ANP) method to determine the rating of the factors contributing to the continuity of the SMEs' salt business. The factors underlying sustainable entrepreneurship were identified from the literature studies based on the triple bottom line concept adapted to the conditions in Madura. The criteria of people include collaborative development, risk seizing, and innovative thinking, while the requirements of the planet cover eco-friendly packaging and waste controlling. Profit was seen from the aspects of government policy and unsettled finance. Then, the TOPSIS analysis was applied to analyze strategies based on the highest performance score. The results of data analysis show that government policy has the highest score as an alternative, and implementation of an e-supply chain is the strategy with the highest-ranking performance score.

Abstract

Accident generally occurs due to the activities which is done in unsafe conditions or even unsafe behavior. These conditions can influence workers productivity. In batik industries, those workers use toxic material and work in non ergonomic atmosphere. Moreover, they also do not take care of the environment and do not use personal protective equipments (PPE). Workers at Madura batik SMEs have not fully realized the significance of occupational health and safety (OHS) in their working areas. The aims of this research is to evaluate OHS performance based on the indicators of safety performance index (SPI), which is multicriteria, in that industri. The safety performance attributes were obtained from factor analysis from the previous study. The index is calculated based on the weighted evaluation results of critical behavior checklist (CBC), integrated with analytical hierarchy process (AHP). As the results, we should give priority to improve the knowledge and experience toward OHS of the workers and also improve the working environment of the Madura’s batik industries. Additionally, the performance of OHS in coloring process is also on the threshold of unsafe condition, further development on the coloring process is needed.

Abstract

Strategic planning for the supply chain is part of the planning process for the supply chain management. One part of this process is figuring out the supply chain's infrastructure and physical structure. The design of supply chain networks has been used for facility location models for more than 20 years. The hub and spoke system is a two-level distribution network with a hub that handles shipments and spokes that connect with consumers. This study integrates optimization techniques with decision-making tools to determine  the best location for distribution centers. The optimization method is modified by considering population, income, and distance factors. The location of the distribution center is determined at two levels. The first level uses the set covering method, while the second uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). A case study is drawn from this research: a company that will determine regional and local distribution centers in East Java. The result is four regional distribution centers: Pacitan, Kediri, Banyuwangi, and Sumenep. Each regional distribution center has two local distribution centers: Pacitan (Tulungagung and Madiun), Kediri (Bojonegoro and Jombang), Banyuwangi (Pasuruan and Malang), and Sumenep (Surabaya and Gresik). This study illustrates how the integration of two-level method can be applied in the context of strategic decision making. The selected locations have a minimum total cost and can serve consumers with maximum coverage in the region. Finally, an efficient supply chain network with a high service level will be obtained.
