Abstract

This research was aimed to verify a model of career maturity on High School students. The model suggests that career maturity is affected by many factors, i.e. counseling service, perception of study majoring, life history, self-efficacy and academic achievement. Research subjects consisted of 616 SMA students. Data was collected using career maturity inventory, psychological scale, and questionnaire methods. These instrumens had been adapted to Indonesia and their reliability and validity had been reestablished. Structural equation model was developed to analyze career maturity determinant factors. Outcomes of the analysis were used to verify the career maturity model and to find out direct, indirect and total effects. The research results showed that the theoretical model of career maturity is supported by empirical data, namely the eight category of measurement. Specifically, the research results are: 1) counselling service, perception of study majoring and life history had  a significant effect on self-efficacy; 2) counselling service,  perception of study majoring and life history had  a significant effect on academic achievement; and 3) self-efficacy had a significant effect on academic achievement.Key words:  career maturity, counseling services, perception of study majoring, life history, self-efficacy, and academic achievement.

Abstract

Studi meta-analisis ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil-hasil penelitian yang tidak searah tentang hubungan antara efikasi diri (self efficacy) dan unjuk kerja (performance) dan bahkan kadang-kadang terdapat bukti yang berlawanan. Tujuan studi ini adalah mengintegrasikan hasil-hasil penelitian tentang hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan unjuk kerja yang sangat bervariasi. Hasil Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan unjuk kerja. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata koefisien korelasi terbobot sebesar 0,375 yang berada pada daerah interval kepercayaan 95%, yakni -0,055 < r < 0,945.  Kata kunci    :   efikasi diri, unjuk kerja, meta analisis

Abstract

Using qualitative approach, the aim of recent study was to explore the domestic violence on women in Jayapura. 500 subject were interviewed (50% from rural area and 50% from urban. The characteristics of the respondents are under 35 years in age, married and live with their own family. The result in general shows that women were sexually violated as well as non-sexually and the abusers are the ones who have been known by the victim. Moreover, this research also found out how the victims' responses to the assault. They tend to remain silence or running away. They did try to look for help but no significant defenses had been done against the abusers so far by the victims. Women from lower soda/ status which mostly from rural area reported the domestic violence they had been encountered to their family whilst ones from middle social status and mostly live in urban area reported the assault to the police or public authority.

Abstract

Village Fund Allocation is a policy intended to carry out development starting from a small government unit. With the allocation of village funds as a balance fund from the center, it is hoped that it can accelerate development growth at the village level, which is spread across all districts in Indonesia, including Tolikara Regency. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to first examine how the implementation of the Village Fund Allocation policy in 2019 in Tolikara Regency, then to examine the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. With the research location focused on Kembu District, with considerations of accessibility. The technique of determining informants is carried out by snowball, for those who are considered to know the research problem. Then, the data collection techniques used were observation and interviews, then the research instruments included, interview guides, and recording devices. Data analysis techniques through the stages of data categorization, data description and data interpretation. The results showed that the implementation of Village Fund Allocation policy in Kembu District when viewed from the aspects of interest, types of benefits, degree of change, position of policy makers, implementers and the resources used were appropriate and right on target. Although experiencing several obstacles such as aspects of management and program implementation. The supporting factors are the high spirit of mutual cooperation in carrying out activities, while the inhibiting factor is the lack of quality of Human Resources in the management of Village Fund Allocation, as well as geographical conditions that affect the distribution

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of principal’s emotional-based intelligence leadership and students’ learning motivation in vocational schools in District Abepura Jayapura city of Papua Province. The study employed associative quantitative method. The subjects of the research were students of vocational schools in District Abepura, City of Jayapura, Papua Province with the population of 3.529 students and the sample of 97 students. The data for the research were mainly gathered from valid and reliable questionnaire, in depth-interview and also from related documentations. Pre-requisite test of data analysis included normality tets and linearity test. Data collected on the study were analysed using simple regression analysis through Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23 software for windows. The result of the study indicates that principal’s emotional-based intelligence leadership held a positive and significant impact on students’ learning motivation in in vocational schools in District Abepura, City of Jayapura, Papua Province. The result of the study also demonstrates that there were significant relationship between principal’s emotional-based intelligence leadership and students’ learning motivation at significant level of 0,000 < 0,05 and the impact score of 66,8 %  which shows positive value. This means that the higher the rate of  principal’s emotional-based intelligence leadership, the better the students’ learning motivation.  The finding of the study is expected to be used as a reference for educational stakeholders or teachers especially for the future education leaders in term of motivating students to learn better.Keywords: principal’s leadership; emotional intelligence; students’ learning motivation

Abstract

The present study aims to assess the impact of the green campus score indicator on the development of sports infrastructure at Universitas Papua, Manokwari. The assessment method for implementing a green campus using UI GreenMetric as the criteria met the specified score standard. The analysis findings indicated that the implementation is adequate, following the green campus indicator analysis on the UNIPA Campus's sports center infrastructure. There are only a few indicators that need to be improved in constructing a sports center, such as managing and monitoring development implementation, the use of environmentally friendly tools, managing and monitoring the impacts caused by development activities, and the campus providing regular budgets. In addition, other indicators are thought to have been well field implemented. Based on these findings, a strategy for environmental structuring and green campus infrastructure is required for the UNIPA campus sports center infrastructure. The strategy emphasizes the importance of paying attention to potential threats that may arise as a result of construction, such as environmental damage, the emergence of new residential clusters that do not follow the UNIPA campus, and the emergence of new residential clusters that do not follow the UNIPA campus
