Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship of mastery of vocabulary with the fast reading ability students class X IPA 6 senior high school number 1 Curup. This type of research is correlation. The population of the research is the students of class X IPA 6 senior high school number 1 Curup. The sample of the research is the students of class X IPA 6 senior high school number 1 Curup totaling 30 students, taken using saturated sample technique. Data collection using test. The instrument test is performed with legibility test, validity test, reliabity test, different power test and difficulty test. Data analysis technique used is product moment correlation analysis. The result showed that: (1) mastery of the vocabulary of students as a whole got an average score of 69.11 included in the high category; (2) students overall reading ability (KEM) scored an average score of 224.87 which was included in the high category; (3) there is a significant correlation between vocabulary mastery with fast reading ability of student class X IPA 6 senior high school number 1 Curup equal to 0.53 (rh= 0.53 at significance level 5% with N= 30, rt= 0.36, and rg>rt). Based on the data of the research result can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between mastery of vocabulary with fast reading ability of student class X IPA 6 senior high school number 1 Curup in 2016/2017 academic year.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi berbasis lingkungan siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Kota Bengkulu tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Metode yang digunakan Deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu yang berjumlah 245 orang siswa dari tujuh kelas. penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling secara acak. Simple Random Sampling ialah sampel yang diambil dengan melakukan undian terhadap semua populasi. Jadi penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan saat peneliti mulai memasuki lapangan dan selama penelitian berlangsung. Sampel pada penelitian ini ialah seluruh siswa kelas VIIA berjumlah 34 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan tes menulis teksd deskripsi yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi berbasis lingkungan siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Kota Bengkulu berada pada frekuensi 62-74% dengan nilai 73,94 kategori (cukup). Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar, Kemampuan, Teks Deskripsi, Berbasis Lingkungan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is 1) to know the ability to write text of critical responses of students of class IX SMPN 10 Bengkulu Utara, 2) to know the ability to write text of critical responses of students of class IX SMPN 3 Bengkulu Utara and 3) to know the difference of writing ability of critical responses between students Class IX SMPN 3 North Bengkulu and students of class IX SMPN 10 North Bengkulu. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The population of this research is the students of IX class SMPN 3 Bengkulu Utara and the students class IX SMPN 10 Bengkulu Utara, the sample is taken as many as 100 students. Data collection techniques use critical capability writing text tests. The data analysis technique used is unpaired T-test. The results showed that the ability to write text critical responses in students of class IX SMPN 3 Bengkulu North categorized enough and students class IX SMPN 10 North Bengkulu good category. There was no significant difference between students of IX class 3 of SMP 3 Bengkulu Utara with students of class IX SMP 10 Bengkulu Utara. From the results of this study as for suggestions submitted for both schools are more understanding of the structure of text, language rules, and spelling of Indonesian so that the writings of students more qualified. Keywords: Differences, Writing Capabilities, Critical Response Texts

Abstract

Green chemistry is material in class X in the driving school curriculum. This material is very closely related to phenomena in everyday life. For that, we need an interesting and meaningful assessment in the form of games that are easy to use. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the "Go Green" education game-based assessment on green chemistry, determine the characteristics of the game education-based assessment and determine the effectiveness of the "Go Green" education game assessment on green chemistry. The research and development method used was adapted from the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation. The research subjects were students of class X SMA Negeri 9 Bengkuku Selatan. The instruments used are questionnaires and quantitative descriptive data analysis. The results showed that material expert validation was 93.42% and media expert validation was 92.86% with a feasible category for implementation. Based on the results of the development carried out, it can be concluded that the assessment developed has met the appropriate criteria. "Go Green" can help educators in conducting assessments effectively and optimally and make students relax in doing questions well.

Abstract

Textbooks are a set of learning materials that are arranged systematically and include competencies that will be mastered by students in learning activities. The presence of textbooks is a crucial element in the teaching and learning process, as they serve as a valuable resource for both students and educators at all levels of education. This research aims to analyze the students’ needs in developing English textbooks to improve high abilities level of law students. This type of research used descriptive qualitative. The research method is a survey through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, for this reason, a needs analysis questionnaire was given to 56 students to obtain information about their needs in English at the Faculty of Law of Universitas Prof.Dr. Hazairin SH. The results of the data analysis reveal the importance of English textbooks, specifically in the field of Law (English for Specific Purposes). In this case, language skills and reading were more emphasized. Thus, it is concluded that based on the results of the Analysis of textbooks for lecturers, there is a very high need for books with unique characteristics as teaching materials that are suitable for learning English for academic purposes for the Faculty of Law in accordance with ESP principles.

Abstract

KIPAS counseling is a counseling framework based on indonesia's cultural value system. The Alpha generation, which is quite unique today, requires BK teachers and stakeholders to always collaborate in building student character. The purpose of this study is to implement the steps of the KIPAS counseling work that are integrated in the learning process in schools. This research uses collaborative action research methods, namely researchers collaborating in the implementation of BK services that are integrated with school management and PBM. The study was conducted in 5 step cycles of activity. The results showed that after the implementation of the KIPAS counseling work step, it was seen that a progress was made in facilitating the development of student character
