Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu dari pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi dengan melibatkan lembaga mitra dan masyarakat. Program pengabdian ini di desain dan diarahkan untuk meningkatkan keterkaitan antara dunia akademik -teoritik dan dunia empirik-praktis. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masysrakat dalam pembuatan alat pengendali hama penggerak batang buah kakao Fero PBK dan pestisida nabati ramah lingkungan untuk meningkatkan produksi tanaman kakao. Target lainnya untuk memasyarakatkan pertanian ramah lingkungan dan penguatan kelembagaan petani. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini digagas oleh lembaga mitra LPPM Universitas Syiah Kuala dan kelompok sasaran petani kakao di Desa Jruek Bak Kreh Kecamatan Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Kendala utama dalam peningkatan kakao di Desa Jruek Bak Kreh adalah minimnya inovasi dan adopsi teknologi pembuatan alat pengendali hama penggerek buah kakao dan pestisida nabati ramah lingkungan. Mahalnya harga pestisida buatan dan sulit tersedia bagi petani kakao menginspirasi kami untuk membantu petani dalam memperkenalkan dan mendemonstrasikan teknologi pembuatan alat pengendali hama penggerek buah kakao dan pestisida nabato ramah lingkungan. Alat yang dihasilkan tersebut adalah produk ramah lingkungan yang dapat diaplikasikan secara mudah oleh petani untuk peningkatan produksi kakao

Abstract

This activity was carried out to help with the problems faced by the partner group, namely housewives in Blang Nangka Village, Blangjeurango District, Gayo Lues Regency. The aim of the activity is to understand the importance of healthy family food for the mothers who are members through education and strengthening the motivation of the mothers to prepare their own healthy snacks for the family through demonstrations and practice of making snacks. The method used to achieve the goal is to carry out community service activities. Education through lectures and questions and answers is used to explain family food health material, while demonstrations and practice are carried out in training on making the healthy snack risol. In general, the results achieved by community service activities are participant satisfaction reaching 100%. Analysis of activity participant satisfaction questionnaires generally indicates that the activity was successfully implemented. Community service activities carried out with partner groups of housewives in Blang Nangka Village, Blangjeurango District, Gayo Lues Regency were well received by the participants. The aim of the activity can be achieved by participants understanding the health of family food. Apart from that, participants were also motivated to make their own snacks for their family members and carry out this service activity to groups of mothers next to the village of this service activity.

Abstract

The knowledge and skills of the Farmers Group and School Drop Out Youth in Limpok Village regarding the technique of making solid and liquid compost for increasing melon production were still limited. The purpose of this product-based service activity was to increase the knowledge and skills of partner groups regarding solid and liquid composting techniques for increasing melon production. The main obstacle in increasing melon production was the difficulty of availability and the high cost of chemical (inorganic) fertilizers. Besides, plants were very susceptible to various diseases. The implementation of the activities includes counseling, demonstration of techniques for making solid and liquid compost and application to melon plants. The target and outcome of the activity was to increase the knowledge and skills of partner groups regarding the production of environmentally friendly solid and liquid compost to increase melon production. The results achieved from this activities were that the target partner group was able to produce 5.000 kg of solid compost and 3.000 liters of liquid compost per production. Another outcome of the partner group was that they can increase their income by doing solid and liquid compost and melon businesses in a professional and sustainable

Abstract

The knowledge and skills of the Horticultural Plant Nursery and Plantation Business Partner Group in the Banda Aceh area regarding assembling environmentally friendly polybags are still limited. The aim of this Product-Based Community Service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of the Kopelma Darussalam and LA Garden Banda Aceh Nursery Business Group in assembling and using environmentally friendly polybags. The main obstacle in increasing the production of various plant nurseries is the high price of polybags or containers for seedlings, which are not durable and are not environmentally friendly. The implementation of this activity includes counseling and demonstrations on the assembly and use of environmentally friendly polybags for breeding horticultural and plantation plants. The target and output of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of partner groups regarding techniques for making and using environmentally friendly polybags. It is hoped that this activity can produce 500 units of environmentally friendly polybags per production. Another outcome is that partner groups can increase income in the horticultural plant nursery and plantation business through the use of environmentally friendly polybags. The results of the service have succeeded in assembling environmentally friendly polybags which are used for breeding horticultural and plantation plants. Seedlings produced by planting using poraling show very good results or grow one hundred percent on average. The target group has been able to use poraling sustainably in its breeding business.
