Abstract

Abstract

Industry development is an alternative in social welfare improvement of a region. This research was conducted to develop a road map of industry development in Kabupaten Bengkayang, West Kalimantan. VRISA (Value, Rare, In-imitabillity, Substitutability and Appropriability) framework used to determine appropriate industrial products to be developed. Based on value chain method, the development strategy was constructed into main value chain and supporting value chain strategy. Output of analysis showed that corn-based product was preferred by VRISA framework, so it needs to be developed as appropriate industry for Kabupaten Bengkayang. There are three stages of industrial development in the corn-based industry, namely initial phase (basic foundation establishment), main phase (implementation), and final stage (harvesting). Time frame for all stages takes five years. Keywords: Industrial Development, VRISA Framework, Value Chain, Road Map, Regency Area

Abstract

In conventional cars, a filter is one of the automotive components directly associated to the internal combustion engine (ICE) and will be disappeared if electric vehicles dominate. By carrying out a case study approach to filter manufacturers and formulating problems with a strategic management approach and SWOT analysis, the results show that filter manufacturers can still take advantage of opportunities by using their existing internal strengths; therefore, an alternative strategy is to implement aggressive or diversification strategies in the future.

Abstract

Since the quality of academic services can affect students’ satisfaction, identification of academic quality attributes is needed. It is divided into several factors using factor analysis and modeling the relationship between academic quality and students’ satisfaction using the multiple regression method. This research used primary data obtained from questionnaires given to undergraduate students of Universitas Indonesia. The results showed six factors affecting students’ satisfaction. However, only two of them, i.e. the lecturers’ abilities to deliver learning materials and the quality of the classroom and building, were significant. The top priority factor was the lecturers’ abilities to deliver learning materials.

Abstract

Abstract

This study evaluates user satisfaction with mobile payment services, focusing on sentiment of user reviews from Twitter. Four key dimensions—reliability, economic benefits, assurance, and responsiveness—were analyzed for two applications, DANA and LinkAja. This study used Support Vector Machine algorithm with an accuracy measurement using the Confusion Matrix reaching 83.83% for DANA and 82,58% for LinkAja. The ROC curve showed the best AUC result of 0.909 for DANA and 0.900 for LinkAja (Excellent Classification). Sentiment analysis revealed that both applications faced predominantly negative sentiment, except for the economic benefit dimension of LinkAja, which showed a higher proportion of positive sentiment. Major issues identified include slow problem resolution, unresponsive customer service, and occasional application errors. These challenges highlight user dissatisfaction and the need for improved customer service and system reliability. The findings underscore the importance of addressing user complaints promptly to enhance satisfaction and foster loyalty.

Abstract

Project governance is a critical component in the success of construction and infrastructure projects, particularly in complex environments. This study aims to analyze the influence of effective leadership, communication effectiveness, disclosure of information, and risk management capability and experience on project governance in Indonesia, while also examining the moderating role of project complexity. Using a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM), data were collected through questionnaires from project professionals involved in construction projects. Results indicate that effective leadership, communication effectiveness, risk management capability and experience, and project complexity significantly influence project governance. However, disclosure of information did not show a significant impact. Furthermore, the moderating effect of project complexity on the relationships between effective leadership and project governance, as well as communication effectiveness and project governance, was found to be insignificant. These findings suggest that while project complexity directly affects governance, it does not strengthen or weaken the impact of leadership and communication on governance outcomes in this context. The study contributes a comprehensive empirical model integrating organizational, human, process, and technical factors affecting project governance and highlights the need for targeted leadership and communication strategies to enhance governance effectiveness. This research offers practical insights for improving transparency, accountability, and sustainability in project governance within Indonesia’s construction sector.
