Abstract

In the context of acquiring foreign language competence, motivation plays an important role in determining the outcome of the learning process. This study explores the influence of instructional leadership on the motivation and learning activity of students in language learning at the Tanjung Berulak Islamic Madrasah Tarbiyah Pondok Pesantren (PPMTI). The study uses a quantitative correlational approach, with a population of as many as 620 students from PPMTI Tg. Berulak. The sample size of 71 respondents was determined using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data analysis includes validity testing of research instruments and regression analysis to measure the impact of instructional leadership on student motivation. The regression analysis resulted in a coefficient of 0.870, which indicates that the improvement in instructional leadership by one unit was linked to the increase in student motivation by 0.870. In addition, the study also found that motivation significantly affects student learning activity, with a significance rate counted below 0.05. The findings highlight the important role of instructional leadership in enhancing the motivation and active participation of students in language learning environments.

Abstract

This research aims to describe mathematics teachers' perceptions of geometry concepts Learning mathematics is often considered difficult, including for ADHD students. This study aims to analyze ADHD students' adversity Quotient and their understanding of mathematical concepts. This research is descriptive qualitative with a case study of ADHD students. The subjects of this research were 3 students from three special schools in Pekanbaru City. The instruments for this research are questionnaires, observation sheets and interviews. Data analysis technique using descriptive dan triangulation. Research Results: The fighting power of ADHD students varies, depending on the level of ADHD and age. The average Adversity Quotient (AQ) level of ADHD students in learning mathematics is in the medium category. ADHD students' understanding of mathematical concepts is in the medium category. A factor that influences their ability is that students often forget previous material or concepts. Efforts made by teachers to increase understanding of mathematical concepts are by increasing the use of visual learning media, both 3D and 2D, and learning through games. Therefore, teachers are expected to use visual media in teaching mathematics to ADHD students.

Abstract

Self-reflection is one way that can apply to the pre-service teachers to produce an excellent teaching-learning process. This study aims to investigate the pre-service teacher's perception of self-reflection by using technology and what efforts they made to provide self-reflection by using technology. The design of this study is descriptive quantitative and qualitative research. This research involved twenty pre-service English teachers in Riau Province. The data was collected through e-questionnaires and individual interviews, which obtained pre-service teacher perception toward self-reflection by using technology and the efforts that integrated it with technology. After the data analysed, it found that pre-service English teacher has good perception toward self-reflection but still need improvement. The study underscores the importance of integrating technology into professional development initiatives and highlights the benefits of self-reflection in promoting teacher growth and effectiveness. These findings have implications for teacher education programs and can inform the design and implementation of professional development strategies to better support pre-service English teachers in their journey towards becoming proficient educators.

Abstract

Learning is a process in which there are various elements and components. The purpose of all of that is for students to know, be skilled and become better. Moreover, learning is done online, student interest in learning is rather low because the delivery can only be discussed, so researchers use models and media to increase student interest. the purpose of this study was to determine student interest before and after receiving treatment. The method used is quantitative in the form of a quantitative method. Pre-experimental design is a design that includes only one group or class given pre- and post-test research subjects of 35 students. As for the results of the study, the normality test indicates that the data is normally distributed, that the probability value > of 0.05 then Ho is accepted in the sense that the above data is normally distributed. In addition to the normality test, there is also a homogeneity test in which the results of the test show that the data is homogeneous. that the value of sig. > 0.05, which is the sig. value of the data above 0.091, it can be said that the variances of two or more groups have the same data population. After the normality and homogeneity tests, the researcher analyzed the data using the Paired sample t-test and found that the sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 less than 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a difference between not using the minute-meter-based PBL model and using the minute-meter-based PBL model
