Abstract

The increasing number of elderly causes complex problems for the elderly, families and communities. Physiological and motor changes make the elderly feel useless, demotivated and withdraw from the environment so that the need for attention becomes excessive. These changes greatly affect the independence of the elderly. This study aims to determine changes in the independence of the elderly before and after occupational therapy and group psychotherapy at the Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Nursing Home, Padang Pariaman Regency. The research used Quantitative research with “Quasi Experimental pre and post test with control group with 63 elderly people as respondents. The sampling was taken purposively. The research instrument used the Katz AD Index. The data analysis used Paired sample t-test and Independent t-test. The results showed that there were differences in the independence of the elderly before and after being given Occupational therapy modified with Group Psychotherapy. There was an increase in independence in the elderly who was given a modified occupational therapy with Group Psychotherapy compared to being given occupational therapy alone. It is recommended for nurses at the nursing home to get modified Occupational therapy training with Group Psychotherapy as one of the interventions in an effort to increase the independence of the elderly

Abstract

West Sumatra is one of the disaster-prone areas in Indonesia, due to geographical, climatic, geological and other factors. Padang Pariaman is one area that is often affected by disasters, especially earthquakes. One of the vulnerable groups directly affected by the disaster is school-age children. Psychological problems in school-age children can affect life in the future. This area-based community service activity aims to increase independence, increase health status and community welfare by increasing the ability of school-age children to reduce the prevention of post-disaster psychosocial problems through group supportive therapy and Play Therapy. The target of this activity is school-age children and teachers, totaling 37 people. This activity is carried out from May to November 2021 in Padang Pariaman. The method of activity is education and simulation divided into three stages: (1) planning stage, (2) implementation stage, (3) evaluation stage. There is an increase in the understanding and skills of the community, especially school-age children in the prevention of post-disaster psychosocial problems, as well as an increase in the network of collaboration between the Health Polytechnic, the Ministry of Health of Padang and the District Government of Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in self-efficacy of adolescents at risk through a combination of psychoeducation therapy with music at SMPN Kota Padang. The research method used in this research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design pre-post test control group. The results showed that the mean score of self-efficacy before the intervention group intervention was lower than the control group. Still, after the intervention was given to adolescents, it showed psychoeducation therapy with music on changes in student self-efficacy at risk. The statistical test results obtained a P value <0.05. In conclusion, there is a significant increase in self-efficacy before and after psychoeducation therapy intervention with music. Abstract

Pregnant women are at risk of experiencing health problems with increasing age, one of which is the risk of hypertension where systolic blood pressure is above 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure is above 90 mmHg or more. The aim of this research is to describe family nursing care for pregnant women with hypertension. Descriptive research method with a case study approach. The research was conducted at the Lapai Health Center, Padang City. The research population consisted of 4 people. Sampling used the Simple Random Sampling technique. The data collection instrument is a family nursing care assessment format. Data were analyzed by comparing research results based on theory and previous research. The results of the research showed that the client complained that she felt a headache, weak, and her body got tired easily. Data was collected using interviews, observations, physical examinations and documentation studies of swelling. In her first pregnancy, she also felt the same complaint. The client's family said the client often consumed salty foods and rarely consumed vegetables. The problems found were ineffective peripheral perfusion, risk of injury to the fetus, and anxiety. Nursing implementation carried out health education for pregnant women with hypertension, foot soaking technique therapy with warm water and lemongrass, carrying out deep breathing and guided imagination techniques, modifying a comfortable and safe environment for pregnant women with hypertension, and introduction of the nearest health facility services. Nursing evaluation found that some problems were resolved. It was concluded that the client had understood the education about hypertension in pregnancy, the anxiety felt had been resolved, the client was able to do the foot soaking technique with warm water and lemongrass. It is recommended that it can help in developing community health center programs in providing nursing care.

Abstract

PAUD/TK Assyofa adalah salah satu sekolah yang berada di Kota Padang yang memiliki jumlah siswa dan siswi sebanyak 87 orang dengan jumlah guru 5orang. Dalam survey awal ditemukan 5 orang anak yang memiliki permasalahan dalama tumbuh kembang nya. Dari hasil pretest awal tentang pengetahuan yang dilakukan kepada guru PAUD/TK Assoyfa didapatkan data bahwa yang memiliki pengetahuan rendah sebanyak 60%. Anak dengan status tumbuh kembang terganggu dengan LILA kecil sebanyak 54,02%. Upaya yang akan dilakukan adalah memberikan edukasi atau pengetahuan kepada guru PAUD/TK untuk mengoptimalkan peran mereka dalam meningkatkan tumbuh kembang anak prsekolah pada umumnya, dan anak didikan mereka pada khsususnya. Dengan menggunakan media yang dapat dipahami oleh guru dan adanya ruang diskusi yang menjadin tempzt bertukar informasi yang mempunyai harapan agar para guru dapat memahami edukasi atau pengetahuan yang diberikan. Sehingga guru PAUD/TK dapat mengoptimalkan peran untuk meningkatkan tumbuh kembang anak prasekolah, yang mana bertujuan untuk mengurangi resiko yang akan terjasdi pada anak dalam gangguan tumbuh kembang mereka. Luaran yang ditargetkan adalah publikasi artikel di jurnal terakreditasi, publikasi di media cetak dan elektronik, serta peningkatan pengetahuan mitra tentang tumbuh kembang anak prasekolah.
