Abstract

This article discusses the process of community empowerment through the preservation of traditional Minangkabau arts and culture carried out by the Tapian Janiah Lunto Community in Nagari Lunto, Sawahlunto City. This research begins with the problem of the fading of local cultural values and the increasing social vulnerability among adolescents due to the strong current of globalization. The main objective of the research is to describe how the arts of randai, plate dance, and traditional music are utilized as strategic instruments to strengthen cultural identity, build social solidarity, and prevent juvenile delinquency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted thematically using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) framework to highlight the utilization of local cultural, social, and human resource assets as a basis for empowerment. The results show that the Tapian Janiah Community is able to create a safe, inclusive, and productive social space for the younger generation. Artistic activities not only preserve culture but also increase adolescent self-confidence, strengthen social cohesion, and provide a positive alternative that is effective in preventing deviant behavior. These findings confirm that local culture-based empowerment is a transformative strategy that can be implemented sustainably and replicated in other communities with similar characteristics

Abstract

The positive impact of questioning skills is quite large on the learning process and student learning outcomes. Low questioning skills can cause students to hesitate when asking questions, thus forgetting the main idea of the question to be conveyed it affects effective learning in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to compare the difference in pretest scores before and post-test after participating in content mastery services. The research method used is quantitative using a Pre-Experiment design with One Group Pretest-Post-test Design. The subjects of this study were 36 students at Ponpes Perkampungan Minangkabau Padang. Determination of the subject of this study using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a self-assessing skill scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the data analysis stated that there was a significant difference in scores on the pretest and post-tests of students' questioning skills after participating in the content mastery service. Thus, content mastery services are effective in improving students' questioning skills.

Abstract

Participation in the community towards a Healthy Indonesia is an important pillar in realizing it. Without community involvement, it will be difficult to achieve, because in essence the goal of a healthy Indonesia is the desire of all parties. Posyandu cadres are part of the community who are willing to play an active role in the activities of the Integrated Service Post, commonly called Posyandu. The participation of Posyandu cadres is a potential of the community that will be managed well. The purpose of this study is to describe and understand the participation of Posyandu cadres in Jorong Irian Nagari Ujung Gading, Lembah Melintang District, West Pasaman Regency. This study is a descriptive qualitative study. Describes how the participation of Posyandu cadres in the success of the implementation of Posyandu activities by providing basic health and social services for the community such as infants, toddlers, pregnant women and the elderly. The findings show that the participation of Posyandu cadres in towards a healthy Indonesia in Jorong Irian Nagari Ujung Gading is due to good communication patterns and strong emotional relationships.
