Abstract

At Singapadu Tengah village, sub-district of Sukawati, Gianyar regency is outskirt village with the distance around 10 km from Denpasar city. Since the year 1989, this village has started improving through blossom out of Singapadu Induk village. Site function changes Singapadu Tengah village from agricultural land becomes industrial function and settlement that significantly increases every year. The year of 1990 up to 1995 site function changes around 658 m2 per year, the year 1995 until the year of 2000 reaches 1,09 Ha per year, while in the year of 2000 up to 2005 reaches 1,67 Ha per year. This site function change has caused among others 1) high migration current come to Bali in this time has spread to village area in Bali; 2) arrangement of development distribution by the government has not been yet assertive; 3) the low value of the agricultural product selling, and the agricultural land tax is up; 4) as a result of irrigation system that chage into the connected irigation channel; and 5) consumerism. Through total approach in the ergonomic scope, it is expected to improve the condition of agriculture that is more and more depressed effect as the result from influences of site function change. SHIP (Systematical, Holistic, Interdisciplinary and Participatory) approach as part of total approach is one of the way to maintain function of agricultural land as a sector capable to support public economics in Bali.

Abstract

Woodworking industries is one of the funding resources of Indonesia. Mechanization was done but less awareness of occupational safety and health, so there were still high risk of occupational accidents and diseases. One of the main problems was man-machine interaction. Research was conducted at the woodworking workshop Bali State Polytechnic with 13 students as participants. It was a participatory research with one group pre and post test design. Result showed that the clearance among machines was about 1.2 – 1.5 m, while the shoulder width and the distance of spreading arms’ participants were 0.52 m and 1.825 m (percentile-95). The terminal blade of radial saw was 30.5 cm out of reach limit (percentile-5). In addition, the terminal ankle blade of drilling machine was 36.5 cm out of reach limit (percentile-5). Participants got complains for the right shoulder (76.92%), left shoulder (69.23%), the right and left hips (61.54%) and low back (53.85%). In similarities, 54.62% of participants got weakened activities, 44.62% got weakened motivation and 68.46% got physically fatigue. In conclusion, the man-machine interaction was not harmony and caused musculoskeletal complain and fatigue. It is needed the improvement of work condition to protect the workers’ safety and health.

Abstract

PT. Tambi Plantation Tanjungsari Production Unit is a company engaged in tea processing. The process of picking tea leaves is the beginning of the tea production process. Tea farmers work to collect tea leaves using cut scissors and collect in baskets made of woven bamboo. The results of the Nordic Body Map (NBM) show the use of old baskets can cause complaints Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). The purpose of this study is to calculate the total points of MSDs complaints when using old baskets, redesign new baskets, and compare the level of MSDs complaints when using old baskets and new baskets. Body mass index (BMI) is used to determine the nutritional level of workers and NBM is used to find out complaints felt by workers. A new basket redesign is based on anthropometric data with body dimensions measured including: hip width, shoulder height in a sitting position, chest thickness, and belly thickness. The results of the NBM calculations, the score received by workers is 600 points. The new basket of tea growers consists of two components: the frame and the container for the tea leaves. The frame component has a width of 31 cm, height 51 cm, length of the supporting container 34 cm, the distance between the place of the bearing and the supporting container is 10 cm, the distance of the bearing space is 5 cm, the distance of the shoulder strap is 5 cm. The components of the tea leaf container have a height of 53 cm, the length of the base side 33 cm x 33 cm, a diameter of 57 cm. Paired Sample T Test with a 95% confidence level, stated that there is a very significant difference in the total number of MSDs between using an old baskets and a new baskets.

Abstract

PT. Yushin Indonesia merupakan perusahaan supplier bahan baku untuk pengecoran. Bahan baku tersebut dijual ke semua perusahaan manufaktur di Indonesia. Bahan baku antara lain 95% merupakan hasil kerja sama dengan beberapa negara seperti Cina, Jepang, Korea, India, Thailand. Bahan baku tersebut ditampung oleh perusahaan sehingga memerlukan pergudangan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Tata letak gudang PT. Yushin berdasarkan hasil survei secara kualitatif tidak dapat berjalan dengan baik karena penempatan barang tidak tertata dengan baik dan masih terjadi back tracking. Hal ini mengakibatkan peningkatan jarak material handling saat proses masuk/keluar (in/out) bahan baku di gudang. Dalam usaha meningkatkan efisiensi material handling maka dilakukan penelitian dengan merancang ulang tata letak area penyimpanan gudang. Selain itu, peningkatan efektivitas dan efisiensi kerja tidak terlepas dari kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam perancangan gudang yang baik, rapi, bersih dan teratur. Pemecahan masalah dapat diselesaikan dengan tetap mempertahankan luas gudang yang sebenarnya. Penyelesaian masalah dengan menganalisis luas gudang, jumlah bahan baku yang disimpan, derajat kedekatan antar bahan baku, menghitung panjang aliran material, dan menentukan tata letak usulan menggunakan metode Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), Shared Storage (SS) serta perlu dilakukan penataan area gudang yang baik, rapi, bersih dan teratur menggunakan metode 5S. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan usulan tata letak alternatif dengan panjang total jarak material handling awal mencapai 627,8 m, sedangkan pada tata letak alternatif jarak material handling mencapai 290,8 m. Dengan hasil kedua tata letak, maka tata letak yang memiliki jarak material handling yang terpendek adalah tata letak usulan. Penelitian ini juga menghasilkan usulan penataan area gudang, yaitu perancangan seiri (ringkas), perancangan seiton (rapi), perancangan seiso (bersih), perancangan seiketsu (rawat) dan perancangan shitsuke (rajin).

Abstract

WL Alumunium merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan alumunium dan logam diDaerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. WL Alumunium menghasilkan berbagai jenis produk antara lain panci, ketel, wajan,panci tutup kaca. Pada proses produksi, terdapat beberapa stasiun kerja antara lain stasiun peleburan, pembubutan,pengikiran, dan perakitan. Permasalahan pada proses pengikiran yaitu posisi bekerja yang kurang baik serta alat bantuseperti media pengikiran dan tempat duduk yang kurang mendukung tingkat kenyamanan dalam bekerja sehinggamenimbulkan kelelahan dan keluhan bagian-bagian otot atau musculosceletal disorders pada pekerja. Penelitian inimenggunakan metode Job Strain Index (JSI) untuk mengidentifikasi resiko muskuloskeletal disorders bagian DistalUpper Extremity (DUE). Hasil analisis JSI digunakan untuk perbaikan alat bantu pengikiran yang mengurangi resikomuskuloskeletal disorders. Hasil Penelitian diperoleh, keluhan muskuloskeletal disorder pada tingkat resiko tinggi (SI >7), maka perlu dilakukan desain ulang atau redesign. Desain perbaikan berdasarkan usulan peneliti dan hasil databrainstorming kepala divisi machining serta pekerja, kemudian dilakukan pengukuran antropometri untuk alat bantumedia pengikiran dan penambahan alas duduk. Spesifikasi ukuran alat bantu yaitu tinggi alat bantu 30 cm, panjang alatbantu 50 cm, lebar alat bantu 40 cm, lebar alas atas, tengah dan bawah 37 cm. spesifikasi alas duduk yaitu diameter alasduduk 32 cm, tinggi alas duduk 48 cm dan jarak antara alas duduk dan alas alat bantu 10 cm.
