Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk membuktikan apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan seberapa besar pengaruhnya antara konsep diri dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 34 Batam Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Alat pengukuran data dalam penelitian ini berupa angket dan tes. Angket yang diberikan adalah dengan bentuk silang (X) yang sudah valid dan reliabel sebanyak 24 item. Bentuk tes yang diberikan adalah tes objektif dengan materi pokok kubus dan balok yang sudah valid dan reliabel sebanyak 17 soal. Berdasarkan jenis dan metodenya, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Ex Post Facto. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 34 Batam Tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 138 siswa.Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik, diperoleh koefisien korelasi  dan signifikan pada , serta dengan model regresi  dengan demikian terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara konsep diri dengan hasil belajar matematika dan konsep diri memiliki pengaruh sebanyak  terhadap hasil belajar matematika, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa konstribusi konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar matematika adalah sebesar . Kata kunci: Konsep Diri, Hasil Belajar Matematika Abstract This study was conducted to prove whether there is a significant relationship and how much the influence of the self-concept and mathematics learning outcomes eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Batam Academic Year 2013/2014. Based on the observation that the researcher do at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Batam Academic Year 2013/2014 on the subjects of mathematics that have not achieve optimal results.Based on the types and methods, this research is a quantitative research study using Ex Post Facto. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Batam school year 2013/2014 and the total sample in this study is 138 students. Correlation of data instruments used in the study is using a questionnaire consisting of 24 questions to measure students' self-concept and to obtain data on the student learning outcomes using mathematics subject test with cubes and beams.Based on the results of the statistical analysis, the researcher found correlation coefficient  and significant at , and also the regression model . Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-concept and mathematics learning outcomes. The self-concept itself has  for the influence on the outcome of learning mathematics. While the coefficient of determination  and the presentation is . Then it can be concluded that the contribution of the self-concept of learning outcomes for mathematics is . Keywords: Self-Concept, Mathematics Learning Results

Abstract

Pursuant to class perception of at program of study of education of mathematics of University of Riau Archipelago ( UNRIKA) that student not yet owned the source learn adequate to support the study process in class. During the time, teaching materials used  not yet effective because amount of student of many and heterogeneous in character. For a while there is no practical teaching materials from lecturer as book of student hold in the lecturing. providing product in the form of Analytic geometry module of area base on the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) valid , praktikalitas, and effective to increase interest of student of Program of Study of Education of Mathematics of University of Riau Archipelago ( UNRIKA).This Research procedure use the model of Instruksional Development Institute ( IDI) consisted of by 3 phase, that is phase analyse the muka-belakang  At prototype phase conducted by two phase that is phase of validasi and praktikalitas.Tahap effectiveness is assessment phase, where [at] this phase is investigated to through the activity observation and result of learning student. This research in conducting at Program of Study of Education of Mathematics of University of Riau of Archipelago of Analytic eye kuliah Geometry of Area that is semester student 3 summed uply 37 student people.Result of this research indicate that the result validasi from validator show the module base on the CTL developed at Analytic Geometry lecturing of Area is valid, Praktikalitas Module base on the CTL can generate the enthusiasm learn and creativity berfikir of because is easy to comprehended and like hence it. Efektifitas perceived at lecturing execution by using this module is activity and result of learning student. From deskripsi of result of learning semester student 3 Program of Study of Education of generation Mathematics 2014 A obtained more than 70% student get the value more than 65. This means module can be told effective.

Abstract

Regresi berganda terdapat kasus khusus dalam sebuah analisa regresi, pada regresi berganda terdapat satu variabel tak bebas yang akan diprediksi, tetapi terdapat dua atau lebih variabel bebas, pemilihan model yang terbaik akan dilakukan dengan 3 metode, yaitu Metode Quadratic Mode Estimator (QME), Metode Symmetrically Trimmed Least Squares (STLS) dan Metode Left Truncated (LT).  Data yang digunakan adalah data polusi udara yang disebabkan oleh 7 variabel bebas yang meliputi jumlah kendaraan yang melewati, suhu udara, kecepatan angin, perbedaan temperatur, angin, jam aktif dan hari aktif, Pemotongan atau penyensoran dari suatu variabel respon dalam suatu model regresi adalah salah satu masalah yang sering muncul dalam banyak aplikasi.             Berdasarkan uraian dari pembahasan dan simulasi, terdapat beberapa hal penting yang dapat disimpulkan, dalam pemilihan model terbaik regresi semi-parametrik diperoleh model terbaik adalah dengan menggunakan metode QME, hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai RMSE terkecil. Dalam uji parsial terdapat 2 variabel yang signifikan terhadap variabel dependent yaitu variabel yang berupa cars dan wind.speed dan juga konstanta yang berupa intercept. Dalam diagnostic checking dapat disimpulkan uji kenormalan menggunakan Kolmogorov Smirnov Test ternyata data tidak berdistribusi normal, namun karena data banyak sehingga kenormalan bisa diabaikan, sedangkan untuk uji autokorelasi menggunakan Durbin WatsonTest dapat disimpulkan tidak ada autokorelasi pada residual, untuk uji Homoskesdastisitas menggunakan Breusch Pagan Test dapat disimpulkan residual bersifat homoskedastisitas.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar merupakan kurikulum yang fleksibel untuk diterapkan sekolah yang berfokus pada materi pelajaran yang esensial untuk mendorong percepatan penguatan karakter dan peningkatan kompetensi siswa sesuai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Atas dasar eksplanasi ini, maka seluruh satuan pendidikan diwajibkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Indonesia untuk menerapkan kurikulum merdeka secara serentak pada tahun ajaran 2024-2025 baik di sekolah negeri maupun di sekolah swasta. Melalui observasi di Kota Batam, banyak sekolah yang belum siap untuk menerapkan kurikulum merdeka, khususnya sekolah-sekolah swasta. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan secara hybrid di Sekolah Globe National Plus Batam dengan tujuan utama untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan secara intens kepada guru-guru yang mengajar di sekolah swasta untuk menyusun modul ajar sebagai dokumen inti yang harus disiapkan dalam menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Pelatihan menyusun modul ajar ini dilakukan pada semester genap pada tahun ajaran 2023-2024 sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan yang melibatkan 80 guru mata pelajaran. Hasil evaluasi pelatihan ini menunjukkan: 1) Pelatihan menyusun modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berjalan dengan efektif, efisien, dan praktis. 2) Guru-guru mampu memahami struktur modul ajar dan mampu menyusun modul ajar kurikulum merdeka sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan. Pelatihan ini mendorong Sekolah Globe National Plus Batam siap menerapkan kurikulum merdeka belajar untuk menghasilkan lulusan Profil Pelajar Pancasila.

Abstract

Batam City, an industrial hub in the Riau Kepulauan Province, Indonesia, boasts a significant immigrant population and occupies a strategic position along international shipping routes, bordering other nations. The city experiences one of the fastest population growth rates in Indonesia, including a surge in student numbers. The current number of elementary school students and the number of junior high and high school students in the next few years play an important role  for sustainable development, aligning with the government's Golden Indonesia Vision 2045, which aims to cultivate a high-quality and productive generation. To support this initiative, accurate projections of student numbers, particularly in high schools, are essential. This study focuses on forecasting the number of senior secondary school students in Batam City for 2035. Utilizing data from the Batam City Statistics Agency spanning 2019 to 2022. To achieve the research goals, the authors employed the Smoothing Exponential Brown Parameter to project figures for 2023-2035. The optimal projection was achieved with α=0.99, estimating 29,988 high school students in Batam City by 2030 and 34,775 by 2035. The research findings indicate that the Batam City government is highly recommended to formulating the policies and planning to establish 18 new secondary schools, addressing potential shortages in classrooms and educational institutions. Additionally, the study urges the local government need to ensure the availability of 1,879 teachers of secondary school by 2035 in Batam City. These projections can assist the administration in effectively planning for educational resources to deliver quality education by 2025, contributing to the realization of the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045

Abstract

This study aims to examine the innovation of contextual learning management models based on local wisdom and their contribution to improving students' English vocabulary mastery at SMP Negeri 3 Numfor Barat. The research method used was the mixed method, which combines qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, while quantitative data were obtained from the results of students' pre-test and post-test. The results of the qualitative research show that the planning was carried out collaboratively by involving all school components and considering local cultural values. The implementation of learning was conducted by linking English material to the local culture, which increased students' enthusiasm and participation. The eval_uation was conducted comprehensively and provided constructive feedback. Quantitatively, the analysis results show a significant improvement in scores between the pre-test and post-test, with the average score increasing from 25.26 to 61.32. The Paired Sample t-Test yielded a significance value of < 0.001, indicating a significant difference. These findings conclude that the management of the contextual learning model based on local wisdom is not only culturally relevant but also effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery. This model is recommended as an innovative approach in regions with rich local cultural heritage.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementing differentiated instruction in improving student learning outcomes in Informatics for Grade X students at a vocational high school. Employing a classroom action research design over two cycles, data were collected through learning outcome tests, student attitude observations, and documentation. Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were utilized in data analysis. The findings reveal that the implementation of differentiated instruction was moderately effective, with an average N-Gain score of 75.6%. There was a significant improvement in student learning outcomes following the application of differentiated instructional methods. Quantitative analysis supported the effectiveness of this approach, as evidenced by a t-test value of 6.256 with 66 degrees of freedom and a significance level of < 0.001, thereby rejecting the null hypothesis (H₀). These results indicate that differentiated instruction can significantly enhance student engagement and academic performance, particularly in subjects such as Informatics that require logical and rapid thinking skills. The study underscores the crucial role of instructional innovation and teacher management strategies in addressing diverse student needs and optimizing learning outcomes. It recommends the broader application of differentiated instruction to enhance teaching quality and student achievement in vocational education contexts

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of the principal as an educational supervisor in improving the sustainable quality of teaching and learning at Tabgha Mulia School, Batam. The main focus is on implementing academic supervision through a collaborative and reflective leadership style. The study method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the principal’s leadership, which emphasizes collaboration, reflection, and mentoring, positively contributes to improving teacher professionalism, particularly in lesson planning, reflective thinking, and participation in quality development programs. However, several challenges were identified, including the lack of preparedness of instructional materials and unexamined teaching routines. It is concluded that effective academic supervision requires a substantive and contextual approach, along with the principal’s role as a facilitator in fostering an eval_uative culture within the school environment. The implication of this research highlights the importance of strengthening the principal’s capacity in conducting pedagogical supervision to achieve adaptive and sustainable teaching and learning quality

Abstract

This study explores the implementation and actualization of human resource development (HRD) programs aimed at enhancing teacher professionalism in junior high schools within Batam’s hinterland. The research is driven by the need to address educational disparities in remote areas, particularly concerning teacher competence. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving principals, teachers, and local education officials. The findings reveal that while HRD initiatives such as training and workshops have been introduced, their implementation faces constraints, including limited funding, inadequate access to training facilities, and minimal post-training support. The actualization of these programs remains suboptimal, with few practical applications in classroom contexts. Teachers often encounter difficulties in applying theoretical knowledge due to insufficient institutional backing. This study concludes that improving teacher professionalism in hinterland areas requires increased access to practical, context-relevant training, enhanced institutional support, and greater stakeholder involvement. The results underscore the importance of aligning HRD strategies with local conditions to foster meaningful and sustainable professional growth among educators. Implications suggest the need for policy reforms and targeted investment to optimize HRD outcomes in remote educational settings

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether 1) ARIAS learning model affected critical thinking skills; 2) students’ learning interest category (high, medium, and low) affected critical thinking skills; and 3) there is an interaction between the learning model groups and the learning interest groups on critical thinking skills. This research was a quasi-experimental research with a 2 X 3 factorial research design. The instruments used to collect the data were a critical thinking test and a learning interest questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research was the analysis of the two-way variance of two unequal cell paths. According to the results of research and discussion, it was found that 1) there was an effect of the ARIAS learning model on students’ critical thinking skills; 2) students’ learning interest did not affect their critical thinking skills; 3) there was no interaction between the ARIAS learning model and learning interest on critical thinking skills.
