Abstract

Among various payment systems available today, QRIS is interesting to be studied due to its recentness, distinctive features, and rapid development. The objective of this research is to identify public perceptions concerning QRIS services viewed from the effects of Mobile Usefulness (MU), Mobile Ease to Use (MEoU), Mobile Perceived Trust (MPT) on Behavioral Intention (BI). This quantitative research uses multiple linear regression in analyzing data that was acquired through questionnaires. This study finds that Mobile Usefulness (MU), Mobile Ease to Use (MEoU), Mobile Perceived Trust (MPT) positively and significantly influence Behavioral Intention (BI). This happens because people feel that QRIS is beneficial, simple, and trustworthy in helping them making transactions. The findings support the result of previous researches that, when a person has decided to use a service continuously, he had considered the aspects of benefit, simplicity, and trustworthiness from cellular service providers. The provider of QRIS service is expected to improve usefulness, simplicity, and security because the public concern much about those three aspects in using cellular services. Next researches are suggested not to use the variables above, i.e. Mobile Usefulness (MU), Mobile Ease of Use (MEoU), Mobile Perceived Trust (MPT), because several studies have explained that the said variables have constant linkage with behavioral intention.

Abstract

The Covid-19 Pandemic is affecting different social groups. One of them is a woman. To help save the family's economy, women try to increase their income through entrepreneurship. However, Indonesia was also surprised by the number of occurrences of natural disasters in various regions. This study aims to examine how the impact of natural disasters that occur with disaster risk on the participation of women entrepreneurs. Simultaneously, this is exacerbated by the Covid-19 Pandemic which has an impact on the state of women entrepreneurs. The method used is binary logistic regression followed by the Heckman model for income analysis. Using the Disaster Risk Index data from BNPB and the 2020 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) data, this study found that natural disasters encourage the participation of women entrepreneurs and cause income to decline due to natural disasters and the Covid-19 Pandemic. Moreover, internet use has helped women entrepreneurs increase their income in post-disaster conditions and the Covid-19 Pandemic in Indonesia.

Abstract

The concept of sustainability arose in response to climate change during industrialization in the 18th century and has gained importance amid the Covid pandemic as nations aim for resilience. Indonesia, like other countries, needs a strong financial policy that integrates sustainability criteria. Banks, as trusted intermediaries, play a vital role in promoting ethical business practices and can contribute through initiatives like the SRI KEHATI index, which identifies environmentally friendly issuers based on ESG standards.  The study analyzes the relationship between ESG-adjusted dividends and financial performance of four major Indonesian banks (KBMI) from 2011 to 2021, using panel data analysis. The findings indicate a negative relationship between adjusted dividends and return on assets (ROA), with similar patterns observed for ESG, environmental, and governance factors. However, the negative correlation is less prominent for the social factor. Conversely, adjusted dividends show a positive connection with ESG scores and the environmental, social, and governance factors independently.

Abstract

Resources typically support economic growth, but not all regions possess the same potential resources. The first objective of this study is to test and analyze the potential of leading sectors and shifting leading sectors in South Sulawesi Province. Second, to determine which expenditure-side components—household consumption, government consumption, investment, exports, and imports—influence South Sulawesi Province's economic growth. This study relies on secondary data that includes information on the Gross Regional Domestic Product of South Sulawesi Province and the same information for the entire nation from 2002 to 2021. This study makes use of the Location Quotient, Shift-Share, and Growth Ratio as analytical tools; while data panel regression is used to look at the factors that affect GRDP. Agriculture, construction, trade, and the services sector are the most important industries in South Sulawesi Province, according to the analysis's findings. While only partially the investment and household consumption variable has a significant impact on South Sulawesi's economic growth, simultaneously household consumption, government consumption, investment, exports, and imports all have a significant impact on economic growth.

Abstract

One of the recurring issues in developing countries like Indonesia is the high level of income inequality. This can be attributed to several factors, including uneven economic growth (Gross Regional Domestic Product - GRDP) among the regions in Indonesia, where some provinces experience significant development while others with low GRDP lag behind due to a lack of interest from external parties, apart from the government, to invest in these underdeveloped areas. Additionally, the low attractiveness of certain provinces to investors results in reduced labor productivity, as there is limited capital available to produce goods and services, leading to income disparities among the provinces. Therefore, one of the policies that each regional government should implement is gradually increasing the minimum wage to promote more equitable income distribution. This research aims to investigate the influence of GRDP, provincial minimum wage, labor productivity, and investment on the open unemployment rate in Indonesia from 2015 to 2019. The research utilizes a quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of a panel dataset from 34 provinces in Indonesia during the period of 2015-2019. The data is then analyzed using panel regression through Eviews version 10. The results of this research indicate that these factors significantly and jointly affect income inequality in Indonesia from 2015 to 2019.
