Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of Adversity Quotient (AQ) students Tadris of the Mathematics Program of IAIN Curup. AQ is a person's ability to face the difficulties. Student difficulties faced can be in the form of assignments given by the lecturer, doing exams, and others. AQ level is categorized into three, namely quitter, camper, and climber. The subjects of this study were 33 students consisting of semesters II and IV. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The process of collecting data is using a questionnaire. Data analysis using Microsoft Excel help. AQ score can be used as a reference for how a student responds to the difficulties faced. Based on the research that has been done, it is known that the AQ criteria that dominate are the camper categories as many as 27 (81.82%). Campers are a category of students who have tried, but the work that has been completed is not necessarily good. They are quite satisfied with what has been obtained, but their potential is not maximized. Therefore, they must be encouraged to improve their performance or efforts to be more maximal and more active and never give up in the face of difficulties.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Modul Matematika Dasar Berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) dengan konteks keislaman yang baik dan layak digunakan dengan kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Modul ini adalah modul matematika dengan memasukkan ayat-ayat kauniyah yang ada di Alquran ke dalam materi sehingga dapat memperdalam dan memperkuat makna pemahaman tentang sains dan Islam serta tentang kekuasaan Allah. Model penelitian pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Plomp yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu fase investigasi awal, fase desain, fase realisasi atau konstruksi, fase pengujian, evaluasi, dan revisi, dan fase implementasi. Subjek uji coba dilakukan pada sepuluh mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika angkatan 2017. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar validasi, lembar penilaian dosen dan mahasiswa, dan lembar tes uraian berbasis HOTS dengan konteks keislaman. Berdasarkan penilaian oleh ahli dan pelaksanaan uji coba, diperoleh hasil bahwa modul yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy, is one of the skills that must be possessed by the younger generation in facing the 21st century and required in the world of work nowadays. This ability allows a person to analyze the information presented in various forms of data presentation, and make the right decisions on the available information. In addition, the world of work in the current era of 4.0 also requires workers who have numeracy literacy skills. The purpose of this research is to develop a numeracy literacy module that meets the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective for use as learning resource of numeracy literacy for students. This type of research is research and development and uses the Plomp development model which goes through 5 stages, namely the preliminary investigation phase, the design phase, the realization or construction phase, the testing, evaluation, and revision phase, and the implementation phase. As for this research, it did not reach the implementation phase considering the limited time of the study. The results showed that the developed module had met the valid criteria with a score of 3.7, practical with a score of 3.7, and effective with a student completeness score of 83.3%.

Abstract

Budaya pada hakikatnya merupakan hasil pikiran dan karya manusia dan matematika merupakan suatu bentuk budaya. Matematika sebagai bentuk budaya, sesungguhnya telah terintegrasi pada seluruh aspek kehidupan masyarakat dimanapun berada. Elemen-elemen kebudayaan Rejang Lebong erat kaitannya dengan matematika. Semakin banyak konsep matematika yang dieksplore dari kebudayaan Rejang Lebong, maka akan semakin memperkaya literasi matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi etnomatematika sebagai jembatan antara matematika dan budaya sehingga mendapatkan informasi yang lengkap. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan reduksi data, sajian data, verifikasi, dan penyimpulan. Hasil eksplorasi menunjukkan bahwa dalam kesenian tari Kejei khas Rejang Lebong menggunakan unsur-unsur matematika seperti pola gerakan dalam tari dan pakaian serta pola nada dalam alunan musik yang mengiringi tari. Tari Kejei memerlukan orang dalam jumlah ganjil dan terdapat unsur-unsur atau elemen-elemen pendukung. Sedangkan rumah adat Rejang Lebong juga menggunakan konsep matematika yaitu bilangan, konsep geometri, dan sudut.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran matematika setelah penerapan game dengan Software Construct 2 pada materi Aljabar di Kelas VII SMPN 7 Rejang Lebong. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre eksperimental – the one shot case study. Dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 38 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu sampling jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes, lembar angket dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis uji t satu sampel dengan uji satu pihak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keefektifan pembelajaran matematika setelah penerapan game dengan Software Construct 2 pada materi Aljabar di Kelas VII SMPN 7 Rejang Lebong.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif (Pre Experimen). Populasi dalam penelitian ini kelas VIII SMP IT Rabbi Radhiyah, dengan sampel penelitian kelas VIII-D. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran baik aktivitas guru maupun siswa serta pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji statistik deskriptif dan uji statistik inferensial yaitu menggunakan uji t paired sample t-test. Adapun hasil penelitian yaitu: keterlaksanaan pembelajaran model Problem Based Learning rata-rata aktivitas guru sebesar 95,00% dengan kriteria sangat efektif dan aktivitas siswa sebesar 88,33% dengan kriteria efektif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif hasil kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa setelah diterapkan model Problem Based Learning, rata-rata sebesar 70,31 dengan standar deviasi 12,66. Berdasarkan hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata nilai pretest dengan rata-rata nilai posttest.

Abstract

The thinking ability of students can be improved by giving questions based on high-level abilities or Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The purpose of the study was to determine the ability of students to work on HOTS-based questions in class VIII MTs.S 1 Darussalam. This qualitative research was conducted at MTs.S 1 Darussalam. In this study, the data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 29 students from class VIII.D MTs.S 1 Darussalam with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques in this study include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were 10% of students who got high HOTS scores, 66% of students got moderate HOTS scores, and 24% of students got low scores. Students who get high scores are those who can solve HOTS-based questions at levels C4, C5 and C6, for students who get moderate scores are those who are only able to work on HOTS questions at levels C4 and C5 only while students who get low scores can only do HOTS-based questions at the C4 level.

Abstract

This study aims to know relationship between Gen Z's mathematics learning preferences and their ability to understand mathematical concepts. The research method used a quantitative approach with a correlational study design. The research population consisted of 199 eighth-grade students at MTs Baitul Makmur, and through simple random sampling, a sample of 34 students. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique employed was the product-moment correlation test. The research results indicate that: (1) Gen Z students prefer learning in pairs (70.52%) and asking questions directly to the teacher (69.99%) while passive methods such as rewriting (51.17%) and listening to recordings (52.64%) are less preferred as they are considered less effective; (2) Gen Z students are fairly good at using mathematical steps (approximately 69.11%), but still struggle to understand the key aspects of the concepts (60.29%), so Gen Z students understand how it works more than its meaning; (3) There is a significant relationship between learning preferences (X) and mathematical concept understanding ability (Y), with a correlation coefficient of 0.629, thus falling into the category of a strong relationship. The coefficient of determination of 39.43% indicates that learning preferences contribute moderately to students' conceptual understanding ability.
