Abstract

The intermolecular force is one of the chemistry topics covered in the high school curriculum in Indonesia. As the characteristics of chemistry concepts in general, intermolecular forces concepts can be presented in the three levels of chemical representations (microscopic, symbolic, and macroscopic).  Currently, chemistry teaching materials are available in Indonesian schools mostly have limited support for helping students to visualize the molecular aspect of intermolecular forces concepts mainly in the form of three-dimensional space (3D). This study aimed to produce an E-Learning teaching material enriched with 3D Molecular Visualization. The product (teaching material) in this study is presented by considering the syntax of guided inquiry-based learning. The product was developed with the procedure adopted from Lee and Owens, including assessment/analysis, need assessment, front-end analysis, design, and development. The product is valid and suitable to be applied in online chemistry teaching. However, further study to investigate the effectiveness of this product empirically need to be explored in the future.

Abstract

As a country with a huge population of more than 270 million people, Indonesia needs to reach society 5.0 to create a society-centred digital transformation. This study aims to formulate a business model for eco-edutourism in a vilage as a suburb with great potential in terms of natural resources and human resources. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of case study. The primary and secondary data were obtained from semi-structured interviews, village databases, and related articles. The business model is formulated using the business model canvas with the identification of each element. The results show that the potential villages with natural resources and human resources can be developed into an education-based tourism village through its potential rich culture, cow farming, and proximity to another tourism destination. The business model canvas has been formulated from these potentials, which includes nine main elements. The main activities in this business are coffee processing educational tours, milk extracting educational tours, local cultural tours, nature tourism, and outbound tours. The value proposition formulated in the business model canvas in eco-edutourism is a social value that will focus on providing qualified education for visitors. The eco-edutourism initiation is expected to be an alternative to community-based digital transformation, especially in rural areas. Achieving digital transformation in the periphery areas on an ongoing basis can be a real step towards realising society 5.0 in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of teachers of SMAN 3 Sidoardjo in the creation and use of learning media in the teaching and learning process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by taking data through a Google form-based questionnaire filled out online. The subjects of the study were 51 teachers of SMAN 3 Sidoardjo. The results of the survey based on questionnaire data obtained showed that the learning media used by the teachers of SMAN 3 Sidoardjo in the teaching process was made by as much as 72.5% and 27.5% were not made by themselves, so the media was obtained from Youtube, Google, and colleagues. The media created by several teachers has obstacles, namely mastery of IT (editing and programming languages), a long time in the development process, and its use has not adjusted to the characteristics of students and unites several media and materials in one platform such as  Learning Management System. Therefore, teachers need training and direct assistance in making intensive and simple learning media without using programming languages, flexible time, and accessible anywhere and anytime. Website-based media to accommodate all the material and learning resources taught so that students can easily use the press and improve their understanding of the material and the quality of learning So that teachers and students can adjust the scope and face problems in the learning process by the demands of the times.
