Abstract

Factory layout is one of the most important problems in a company, because the arrangement of facilities affects the efficiency and cost of manufacturing products. PT. Sermani Steel of Makassar City is one of the companies engaged in the manufacture or production of zinc-coated steel sheets (Zn) with a production capacity of 3000 tons/year, the problem that occurs is that the layout of related departments is far apart, causing large moving costs. The CRAFT Algorithm method is an improvement program that seeks optimum planning by making improvements in stages with the help of the WinQsb software. The CRAFT algorithm method can describe each department and calculate the Material Handling Cost (OMH) experienced by the product during the production process. Based on the results of research conducted, the cost of moving materials in the initial layout is Rp. 1,636,270,800/year after repairing the layout of the facility, the transfer fee is Rp. 1,467,309,300/year with a difference of Rp. 168,961,500 per year, material transfer costs have decreased by 10% from the initial layout.

Abstract

It is often assumed that occupational safety and health (K3) is a waste, a waste of cost or just a formality that must be fulfilled by the organization. The K3 procedure in a building is very important especially in a multi-storey building, because in a multi-storey building there are risks that cannot be predicted, for example in the event of an earthquake or fire. Based on the legal aspects of OSH which have been stipulated in Law No. 28 of 2002 concerning building construction, the importance of comfort, safety, health and convenience must be owned by a building. This research is about the evacuation route in the Faculty of Industrial Technology Building, Muslim University of Indonesia, Floor IV Using the Floyd Warshal Algorithm. By using the required data such as building plans, room data used per floor, the number of permanent and temporary building occupants, the results of data processing are obtained from the design drawings of the evacuation route, complete with instructions for safe lane during emergencies.

Abstract

The Layout of the Field Layout Stacking containers is an important thing to consider because it can affect the effectiveness of the loading and unloading process in the field by arranging the Layout of the facilities in the stacking field in the Yard Layout including the Rubber Gantry Crane (RTG) and the arrangement of the lane Head Truck. So, it is necessary to research determining the Layout of containers. The design that will be made will affect the distance the head truck travels to transport containers from the dock. In several studies, two types of determined, Layout have been container namely Parallel Layout where the containers are arranged parallel to the pier, and Perpendicular Layout where the containers are arranged Perpendicular to the pier. Container terminal Makassar New Port using Parallel Layout. To increase the productivity of the loading and unloading process, an analysis of the arrangement of the stacking field is carried out. From the results of the research, the farthest travel distance is 1,048 m, with a total travel distance of 729,269 m with a fuel cost of Rp. 1,144,952 in the initial Layout (Parallel Layout), with the Perpendicular Layout, the farthest travel distance is 353.7 m with a total travel distance of 473,533 m, and the use of materials burn 743,446.8 m

Abstract

Industrial competition in the era of increasingly fierce globalization forces the industry to struggle to maintain competition. In order to be able to compete in the modern industrial era, not only in terms of the products that will be sold in the market in a short estimated time, but also in terms of all aspects of the industry in it. In this research, the problem that arises is the production process that has not been effective and efficient so that it affects the production time, which is slightly hampered, causing consumer demand not to be fulfilled at CV. Bewrsama's Noble Grace. This study aims to determine the ineffective movements performed by the operator when doing work. Calculating the standard work process time using the Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) method, to calculate the resulting standard output. Reduction in ineffective processes with 5S work methods. Research was conducted in several divisions starting from the process of receiving milk, processing, milling, and packaging by comparing the effects of MOST between before and after the implementation of 5S. The results obtained are that there are several ineffective movements such as searching, selecting and inspecting which can be reduced by implementing 5S. There was a decrease in the receiving division by 4.7%, processing 0.67%, milling 4.2% and packaging 14.17%. The resulting raw output increased by 4.96% in the packaging division, 2.04% in the processing division, 6.02% in the milling division, and 15.2% in the packaging division.

Abstract

CV. Macca Clothing is a company engaged in Clothing screen printing. The resulting product is a short sleeve t-shirt screen printing. In producing the production, on average per month there are defective products of 6% types of defects, namely blurred colors, wrong colors, and wrong screen printing. Therefore, this study aims to providelevels sigma and DPMOand then analyze the factors causing disability and provide suggestions for improvements to reduce defective products at CVMacca Clothing. The data collection method used is to conduct interviews with CV.Macca Clothing. Then in analyzing the data using the method DMAIC and theapproach six sigma. From the research results, thevalue DPMO is 21,000 and the conversion result is 3.53, which means that out of a million opportunities there will be 3.53 possibilities for the production process to produce defective products. in thelevel stage  sigma CV.Macca Clothing has not yet reached thelevel Six Sigma, but it is still in the average industrial condition because in the production process there are still product defects that have not reached zero defect. The factors that cause defects in the product are the operator is not careful in doing the work, the quality of raw materials is not good, the cleanliness of the equipment is not maintained, and the production room facilities are inadequate. From the results of the analysis based on the implementation tools kaizen , the control and improvement to reduce defects that must be carried out by CV.Macca Clothing is to carry out stricter supervision or control, carry out regular machine maintenance, and provide complete facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of noise levels on employee workload with an ergonomic approach at PT. Ciomas Adisatwa Maros Unit. In this study, the determination of the sample taken was 15 people who worked in shift 1 in the factory area. The research method used a quantitative method and a qualitative method. The results of this study found that there was a positive and significant effect between noise level and workload of 0.74. For the significance of the correlation coefficient with an error rate of 5%, and with dk 79, t table = 1.99085 is obtained. It turns out that the calculated t value is greater than the t table price, so Ho is rejected. This means that there is a positive and significant effect of noise level on workload.
