Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk perancangan produk jemuran otomatis anti hujan dengan berfokus pada keinginan konsumen. Masalah yang terjadi pada masyarakat seperti anak kost seringnya pakaian yang dijemur terkena air hujan ketika ditinggalkan dari tempat tinggal karena tidak ada yang mengangkatnya, padahal ketika menjemur cuaca terang dan ketika ditinggalkan cuaca berubah menjadi hujan. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut akan dilakukan perancangan dan pengembangan produk jemuran otomatis dengan menggunakan metode QFD (Quality Function Deployment). Pengambilan data menggunakan sampel yang terdiri dari 68 responden yang terdiri anak kost di daerah Yogyakarta yang sering menjemur pakaian sendiri. Hasil analisa diketahui pengembangan produk yang perlu dilakukan adalah customer need ke 2 yaitu menutup otomatis yang masuk pada kategori A, sehingga sangat perlu dibutuhkan inovasi atau pengembangan agar sesuai keinginan konsumen dan tidak tertinggal dari produk kompetitor. Relasi antara customer requirement dan technical requirement dapat dilihat bahwa kepentingan terbesar terdapat pada kebutuhan teknis jenis bahan dengan nilai kepentingan 124,2, artinya untuk mendukung pengembangan pemenuhan customer needs yang ke 2, maka perusahaan harus fokus pada kebutuhan teknis tersebut.

Abstract

Quality management system is the ability of an organization to maintain the quality of goods or services that are served. The efforts made by the company are to improve the management system that is prime with ISO 9001: 2008 which is an international requirement for a company's management system. PT Softex Indonesia is the first producer of sanitary napkin made in Indonesia which has obtained ISO 9001: 2008 certificate and applied it in the implementation of production activities. One way to achieve success in maintaining the quality of a product is by improving work performance in order to produce quality products. Based on this, the researchers analyzed the effect of implementing ISO 9001: 2008 on improving employee performance. The data used in this study were obtained from a questionnaire (primary) and several observations and direct interviews with parties related to employee performance. The analysis technique used is simple regression using hypothesis testing, namely F test and t test. Based on the results of the study the magnitude of the influence of the application of ISO 9001: 2008 which directly affects the improvement of employee performance. From this study, R Square value was 0.504, which means that 50.4% of employee performance improvement variables can be explained by its independent variables, namely ISO 9001: 2008, while the remaining 49.3% is explained by other variables outside of this study.

Abstract

PT. Guna Kemas Indah in determining the supplier of raw materials, but the existing criteria are not sufficient to meet the expected criteria. By using Analytical networking process (ANP) and goal programming in determining quality. In addition, it can also be seen how much raw material purchases are based on the selected supplier. Selection of suppliers is based on several criteria using vendor performance indicators, which are arranged based on sub-criteria. Where the existing subcriteria can influence each criterion. Based on the weight calculation for the criteria are success-quality (0.3868), cost (0.3668), delivery (0.1256), flexibility (0.0619), responsiveness (0.0586) so that 3 supplier candidates will be obtained.

Abstract

It is often assumed that occupational safety and health (K3) is a waste, a waste of cost or just a formality that must be fulfilled by the organization. The K3 procedure in a building is very important especially in a multi-storey building, because in a multi-storey building there are risks that cannot be predicted, for example in the event of an earthquake or fire. Based on the legal aspects of OSH which have been stipulated in Law No. 28 of 2002 concerning building construction, the importance of comfort, safety, health and convenience must be owned by a building. This research is about the evacuation route in the Faculty of Industrial Technology Building, Muslim University of Indonesia, Floor IV Using the Floyd Warshal Algorithm. By using the required data such as building plans, room data used per floor, the number of permanent and temporary building occupants, the results of data processing are obtained from the design drawings of the evacuation route, complete with instructions for safe lane during emergencies.

Abstract

Along with the rapid growth of the manufacturing industry, companies are required to create advantages in order to survive and compete with competing companies. Competition between companies requires every manufacturer to make improvements for the better. One of the industry players who are expected to make improvements is TS. aluminum. Where the improvements made focus on the production process line related to the company's productivity. The production process often arises in the form of a series of wastes such as waiting time (waiting time), work in process (WIP) and transportation that is too long. A number of these wastes can result in disruption to performance and decreased productivity. Through this research, efforts were made to reduce waste by using lean manufacturing, VSM, and FMEA. The results showed that there was a decrease in the set up time to 2135 seconds, the waiting time between cutting and filing operations to 256.8 seconds, the turning waiting time to 262.31 and the loss of transportation distance by 22 m in the finishing polishing operation which resulted in the time required reduced to 123.94 seconds. In addition, the company experienced an increase in labor productivity of 5.18, capital productivity of 28.52, productivity of raw materials 4.3, productivity of other components by 33.65 and total productivity of the company by 2.04.

Abstract

PT. Samudera Oceaneering is a branch of Oceaneering International Incorporated with main focus on the oil and gas industry. As a branch company of ROV, PT. Samudera Oceaneering always ensures that the ROV that will be sent for underwater works is in top notch condition and has been tested prior to the project to ensure all the functions are working properly and meet the specifications set by the client. In this internship the author takes a specific topic of risk management on ROV testing at PT. Samudera Oceaneering. Hazard identification is carried out in detail on the ROV testing process using the JSEA method. The risk assessment in the ROV testing process was obtained with the majority of the testing process being at high risk level. Based on the results of the risk assessment, the recommendation for risk control on the potential hazards that exist including installing a barricade in the test area, using the right PPE and tooling that is in good condition, ensuring that each item used has passed the test and is certified.

Abstract

Feasibility analysis is carried out in order to ascertain whether a business activity is feasible based on several aspects. In general, the aspects analyzed are technical feasibility, market feasibility, management feasibility, financial feasibility, legal feasibility and social feasibility. The financial analysis is carried out with several criteria in the form of Net Present Value (NPV), Break Even Point (BEP) and Payback Period (PP) and risk analysis. The total value of income earned per month is Rp. 80,228,000. The value of the investment interest rate is 11.4%. The analysis is carried out based on the calculation of NPV, BEP and Pacback Period so that the data knows whether this industry can be declared feasible or not. After calculating the tofu industry, the NPV value of Rp. 217,587,161. Based on this, it can be seen that this industry can provide a net income in 10 years of Rp. 217,587,161. Because the NPV value is greater than zero, this industry is declared feasible to run because it is positive. the total cost of production is Rp. 53,934,985 per month and the principal return for the selling price is Rp. 2020 per unit. Meanwhile, from the calculation of the Payback Period value in the tofu industry, it was obtained for 3.87 years, this value indicates that the business can return capital before the age of the project is over and this makes this industry also feasible to run. In risk analysis, the highest risk is on equipment and business permits. there is not any yet. Risk parameters, the equipment used is still traditional, if you want to improve, you can replace some equipment using a more automatic machine because the work process is carried out without using a division of tasks and it is better to immediately arrange for a business license

Abstract

The economic life of Abang Island, Batam City has considerable potential, the majority of the population works as traditional fishermen who are only supported by catches obtained by fishing or fishing at locations tens of kilometers from the coast. In order to ensure that the quality of the fish caught and its freshness is maintained, the fishermen must freeze it as soon as possible and store it in a cold storage box. This research will provide a solution for traditional fishermen to use storage boxes with better cooling quality than the storage boxes used today by providing an insulator that considers the optimal distance to reduce the conduction process and heat radiation. The purpose of the study was to determine the optimal use of the conduction process and heat radiation in the storage box and to determine the use of coconut fiber as an insulator for fish storage boxes and to find the best composition of coconut fiber and tube ice in the cooling process. The method used is an experimental method by involving fishermen in discussions to design and assemble a storage box made of styrofoam measuring 75 cm long, 42 cm wide, 32 cm high, with coconut fiber as an insulator on the inside of styrofoam, for insulation assistance using an infraboard sheet made of of plastic material measuring 3 mm. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the thermal conductivity value using coconut fiber was 0.011 J/sKm, and without using coconut fiber was 0.01 J/sKm, the radiation value was 0.0062, so from the results of the study coconut fiber was very well used as an insulator in inhibitor of the rate of change of room temperature.

Abstract

Seeing the condition of the covid pandemic which is still engulfing most of the world to Indonesia which will have an impact on various aspects, both social and economic. The socio-economic impact is felt in the lower middle class. Failure to fulfill nutrients in food can have an impact on various things such as decreased intelligence, poor health and endurance. Protein sources derived from vegetables are predicted to have nutritional content that is not inferior to prices that are relatively cheaper and easy to obtain. The popularity of this tofu causes the tofu industry to be very large and spread across various regions in Indonesia. The tofu industry in Indonesia is still dominated by home-scale industries with very traditional processes using simple equipment. Lean manufacturing can be used as a method to optimize the production process by eliminating waste. By using lean manufacturing, waste will be eliminated in tofu production activities.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the wiring harness assembly industry that supplies products to automotive companies in Indonesia. The product of this company is a variant of the part number wiring harness, each of which has a different processing time and employee needs in the assembly process. In the production process for Part No 22-66779-00, PT XYZ divides the work line into three parts, namely the head assembly process (assembly of the product head), the body (assembly of the product body), and the end (assembly of the product tail). The work is conducted based on these parts by many manpower. The problem is that because social distancing is applied, work efficiency in each production line becomes less than optimal. Work productivity decreases and the finished product is past its delivery deadline. In this study, we analyze two scenarios of assembly work on wire harness products. The first scenario is to assemble the head, body, and end separately as PT XYZ has done in the field. While the second scenario is to assemble the heads separately and then carry out the assembly process with the assembly results from the body and end lines (mix body and end). It is resulting in a more efficient assembly process with a lack of time used. The transformation makes improved total time in all the activity processes faster in 2756.38 seconds. The productivity has an increase of 10% than using scenario 1.
