Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical understanding in terms of learning motivation in limited face-to-face learning. This type of research is qualitative research. Subjects were taken using a learning motivation questionnaire and a mathematical ability test. Students who meet the indicators of learning motivation and the characteristics of the category of mathematical ability are determined as subjects and then given a mathematical understanding test and then interviewed. The data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of data analysis show that students who have high learning motivation meet three indicators of mathematical understanding, namely the ability to classify objects according to certain properties (according to the concept), the ability to present concepts in various forms of mathematical representation and the ability to use, utilize and choose procedures or certain operations. However, students have problems in using and utilizing certain perating procedures. Subjects with moderate learning motivation only met two indicators of mathematical understanding, namely the ability to classify objects according to certain properties (according to the concept) and the ability to use, utilize and choose certain procedures or operations. However, students who are motivated to learn are having problems using and utilizing certain operating procedures. Subjects with low learning motivation fulfill one indicator of mathematical understanding, namely the ability to classify objects according to certain characteristics (according to the concept). Even though students do not work on the questions correctly, students still try to solve the questions given. It is recommended that teachers pay attention to students' mathematical understanding, especially in the new normal period.

Abstract

Batik is part of local wisdom that exists in the Madurese community and is an ancestral heritage that needs to be preserved. This preservation can be applied by linking the Batik philosophy to Cross Culture Understanding learning which emphasizes the background of certain motifs that describe the life of the Madurese community. Through the qualitative method, the author tries to explore the reflection of the philosophy of the Tanjung Bumi Batik Motif. The motifs and colors of Tanjung Bumi Batik tell some aspects of the life of the Madurese community and the symbols of the habits of the Madurese people in general. Linking the Philosophical Values of the Tanjung Bumi Batik Motif will add real insight into the life of the Madurese community. This can also motivate teachers to implement learning in lectures.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how the implementation of the Project-Based Learning teaching model, supported by educational aids, for mathematics lessons at SMP An Nur Fuadi Bangkalan. The researcher hypothesized that there would be a difference in student learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning teaching model with educational aids. This research is a quantitative study with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design, where the researcher measured the variables before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention/research. The sample used was one class group consisting of 14 students, from which pretest and posttest scores were collected. The pretest and posttest scores were processed and analyzed using a paired two-sample t-test. The analysis results indicate that both samples' scores are normally distributed. Then, the obtained t-value is 4.28711, and the t-table value is 2.16037, which means that the t-value is greater than the t-table value, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of students at SMP An Nur Fuadi Bangkalan before and after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning teaching model with the educational aids. The student response questionnaire results indicate that the majority of students at SMP An Nur Fuadi Bangkalan responded positively to the implementation of the Project-Based Learning teaching model in mathematics, with an average percentage of students giving positive responses of 85.71%. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning berbantuan alat peraga edukatif pada pelajaran matematika di SMP An Nur Fuadi Bangkalan. Peneliti membuat hipótesis yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning berbantuan alat peraga edukatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimental tipe one grup pre test – post test dimana peneliti melakukan pengukuran antar variabel yang dilakukan sebelum (pre test) dan sesudah (post test) tindakan/ penelitian. Sampel yang digunakan adalah satu kelompok kelas yang terdiri dari 14 siswa yang kemudian diambil nilai pre test dan post test. Hasil nilai pre test dan post test diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dua sampel berpasangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kedua sampel nilai berdistribusi normal. Kemudian diperoleh nilai  dan nilai   yang berarti  sehingga  ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa SMP An Nur Fuadi Bangkalan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning berbantuan alat peraga edukatif. Hasil angket respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa di SMP An Nur Fuadi Bangkalan memberikan respon positif terhadap hasil penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada mata pelajaran matematika dengan persentase rata-rata siswa yang memberikan respon positif sebesar 85,71%.

Abstract

Sumber belajar merupakan unsur penting dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Modul merupakan salah satu sumber belajar yang mampu menunjukkan realitas-realitas sosial kemasyarakatan yang berhubungan langsung dengan isi materi dari sebuah mata pelajaran matematika. Pondok pesantren adalah salah satu realitas sosial kemasyarakatan, tempat siswa menimba ilmu. Dalam mengajarkan matematika yang bersifat abstrak, perlu adanya modul yang berbasis pondok pesantren agar siswa mdah memahami materi matematika. Hal ini dikarenakan berhubungan dengan konteks siswa sebagai santri. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan dan mengahasilkan modul matematika berbasis pesantren pada materi himpunan untuk kelas X MA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan metode ADDIE dengan tahapan Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Subjek ujicoba pada penelitian ini adalah kelas X MA Raudlatul Muttaqin, Modung, Bangkalan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu validasi, angket respon, dan tes. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji kevalidan, uji kepraktisan dan uji keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) modul ini dikatakan valid karena berdasarkan hasil penilaian dua validator yaitu dosen dan guru matematika diperoleh rata-rata nilai sebesar 3,835 yang berarti bisa digunakan tanpa revisi, (2) modul ini dikatakan praktis karena berdasarkan hasil angket respon siswa diperoleh rata-rata nilai 80,09% yang berarti siswa memeberikan respon positif terhadap modul, serta (3) modul ini dikatakan efektif karena berdasarkan hasil tes hasil belajar siswa diperoleh rata-rata nilai 90,91% yang berarti ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal tercapai.
