Abstract

Learning activities were changed from face-to-face to full-online due to the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of 2019. Online learning through WhatsApp Group (WAG) was used by a mathematics teacher in higher education program in the early 2020. However, the learning result showed that 75% of preservice teacher were unable to accomplish their elementary linear algebra material. The combination of online learning through asynchronous method and synchronous learning was an alternative solution to solve the problem and enable preservice teachers having virtual face-to-face interactions with their lecturers. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the improvement in preservice teachers' learning outcomes and responses to synchronous and asynchronous learning. The research design used was one group posttest-only with 23 subjects were selected by clustered random sampling. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis. The test results showed that learning outcomes after synchronous and asynchronous learning was effective. While the questionnaire results expressed most preservice teachers gave a positive response to both learning methods. Thus, the combination of the two methods could improve the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is recommended that higher education institutions provide innovative e-learning platforms for preservice teachers in developing further online learning methods.

Abstract

This study is aimed to analyze probabilistic thinking of elementary school students based on math ability and gender differences. Descriptive explorative approach was used to describe in depth probabilistic thinking of boys with high, middle, low math ability and girls with high, middle, low math ability. The result showed that probabilistic thinking of boy with high math ability indicated multistructural because his thinking quantitative and proportional. While probabilistic thinking of boys with middle, low math ability and girls with high, middle, low math ability indicated unistructural because their thinking quantitative and non proportional. Beside that, boys’ thinking in solving probability tasks was more analytical and flexible than girls’ thinking. So, students with math ability difference, gave difference response in solving probability tasks. This result found new strategy in solving probability comparison task. This result could contribute to curriculum developer to introduce probability in elementary school level and teachers could use discussion method in teaching probability material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pengembangan alat pembelajaran dalam bentuk RPP, LKS dan THB berbasis Pendidikan Matematika Realistis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 22 siswa di MTS Sirajul Huda. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah model empat D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel & Semmel. Tahap pengembangan yang hanya terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu, mendefinisikan, mendesain, mengembangkan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan validasi pembelajaran, kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, respons siswa, dan hasil tes pembelajaran. Hasil dan instrumen dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menjawab tujuan peneliti. Hasil kumpulan perangkat pembelajaran berdasarkan RME dalam materi aritmatika sosial valid. Setelah alat pembelajaran direvisi berdasarkan masukan dari validator, dan telah diuji di lapangan, kemampuan guru untuk mengelola pembelajaran berada dalam kategori efektif, aktivitas siswa dalam kategori baik, angket respon siswa adalah kategori baik, dan validitas, sensitivitas, dan keandalan item di dalam kategori baik. Sebagai kesimpulan, alat pembelajaran ini dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk bertemu siswa sebagai pendukung implementasi kurikulum 2013. AbstractThis research aims to  development of learning tools in the form of RPP, LKS and THB based of Realistic Mathematic Education. Subjects in this reasearch were 22 students in MTS Sirajul Huda. The research design used is four D model develope by thiagarajan, semmel & semmel. Development stage wich only consist of three stages namely, define, design, develop. Instrument in this study were using learning validation, the ability of teachers to manage learning, student activities, student responses and tes result learning. The results and instruments are analyzed descriptively to answer the purpose of the researcher. The result of the assemblage of learning devices based on RME  in social arithmetic material is valid. After the learning tool has been revised based on input from the validator, and has been tested in the field, the ability of the teacher to manage the learning is in the effective category, the student activity is in good category, the student response questionnaire is  good category, and the validity, sensitivity and reliability on the item inside good category. In conclusion, this learning tool can be used by teachers to meet students as supporting the implementation of curriculum 2013.

Abstract

This study is an experimental study with quantitatively descriptive approach which aims to describe the effectiveness of learning using wondering successive method with regular competition model of type 1 among students on vector space material. The subjects of this study are fifth semester students of mathematical education programe in STKIP PGRI Bangkalan. The Results of study are analyzed descriptively to see the lecturer's ability in managing learning process, student’s activity and the completeness of learning result classical. The results of study show that the used method is effective to implement on vector space material. This conclusion is based on several things, namely (1) the lecturer's ability in managing learning process is effective, student’s activity is effective and the classical completeness of learning result is achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of teachers to manage learning, student responses, student learning completeness with the two stay two stray learning model on the material of rank numbers. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The sample used is class IX SMP Al-Wasilah. Data analysis used data analysis on the ability of teachers to manage learning, analysis of student response data and analysis of student learning outcomes test data. Based on the results of data analysis shows that the results of the data analysis of the average score of the ability of teachers to manage learning using the two stay two stray learning model is 4.44. The data obtained on the level of teacher ability to manage learning is in the good category. Data analysis of the average score of students' positive responses to the two stay two stray learning model was obtained at 96.4%. The positive response data obtained by students are in the category of strongly agree. The results of the percentage of students' learning completeness classically were obtained at 81.25%. Thus, the classical student learning completeness data is >80%. It can be concluded that the two stay two stray learning model is effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical understanding in terms of learning motivation in limited face-to-face learning. This type of research is qualitative research. Subjects were taken using a learning motivation questionnaire and a mathematical ability test. Students who meet the indicators of learning motivation and the characteristics of the category of mathematical ability are determined as subjects and then given a mathematical understanding test and then interviewed. The data were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of data analysis show that students who have high learning motivation meet three indicators of mathematical understanding, namely the ability to classify objects according to certain properties (according to the concept), the ability to present concepts in various forms of mathematical representation and the ability to use, utilize and choose procedures or certain operations. However, students have problems in using and utilizing certain perating procedures. Subjects with moderate learning motivation only met two indicators of mathematical understanding, namely the ability to classify objects according to certain properties (according to the concept) and the ability to use, utilize and choose certain procedures or operations. However, students who are motivated to learn are having problems using and utilizing certain operating procedures. Subjects with low learning motivation fulfill one indicator of mathematical understanding, namely the ability to classify objects according to certain characteristics (according to the concept). Even though students do not work on the questions correctly, students still try to solve the questions given. It is recommended that teachers pay attention to students' mathematical understanding, especially in the new normal period.

Abstract

Berpikir probabilistik setiap orang berbeda, karena perbedaan budaya mengakibatkan perbedaan pengetahuan probabilistik, sedangkan pengetahun probabilistik mempengaruhi pemikiran probabilistik. Perbedaan berpikir probabilistik siswa berbeda-beda tergantung pada level berpikir probabilistik siswa. Di Indonesia pertumbuhan tingkat berpikir probabilistik siswa sekolah dasar sedikit mendapat perhatian oleh para peneliti. Hal ini karena materi probabilitas dikenalkan pertama kali di tingkat SMP kelas IX. Padahal mengembangkan berpikir probabilistik siswa di tingkat dasar sangat penting sebagai pondasi untuk mempelajari probabilitas di tingkat yang lebih tinggi. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pertumbuhan tingkat berpikir probabilistik siswa sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan tugas probabilitas standar dan tugas probabilitas eksperimen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa leki-laki berkemampuan tinggi dan rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Level berpikir probabilistik siswa sekolah dasar mengalami pertumbuhan setelah diberi tugas probabilitas eksperimen, terutama pada tugas ruang sampel dan probabilitas suatu kejadian. Hal ini karena eksperimen memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada siswa untuk memanipulasi bendabenda yang disediakan dalam menyelesaikan tugas probabilitas. Namun, pada tugas perbandingan probabilitas level berpikir probabilistik siswa tidak mengalami perubahan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi guru untuk mengajarkan probabilitas di tingkat sekolah dasar dengan memberikan tugas perbandingan probabilitas sebagai langkah awal untuk menggali berpikir probabilistik siswa, terutama pada jenis tugas pemutaran spinner.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has had a major impact in various fields, especially the economy. Based on the results of observations of producers of typical Madurese products spread across four regencies on the island of Madura (Bangkalan, Sampang, Pamekasan and Sumenep) it shows that in mid-2020 the demand for distribution of Madurese products has decreased, retail sales have decreased significantly. This service program is carried out with the main aim of making the economic wheels of the Madurese community turn again. The implementation of the program consists of 4 stages, namely the pre-production stage, the production stage, the marketing stage and the marketing evaluation. The results of the implementation of this program are able to create new AKH outlets that can be accessed by everyone. This is because within 3 months, apart from coming from Bangkalan, AKH outlet consumers also come from outside Bangkalan, (2) Marketing strategies (offline and online) are able to move the economy of the Madurese community in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, (3) Packaging that has been created very attractive and in accordance with the development of the millennial era.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah merupakan tujuan pembelajaran matematika. Pendekatan problem-solving adalah pendekatan yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Namun, di masa pandemi atau new normal, kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa belum maksimal dikembangkan. Media pembelajaran berbasis web menggunakan pendekatan problem-solving adalah solusi dalam masalah ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan media web menggunakan pendekatan problem-solving yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah ADDIE. uji kevalidan dilakukan dengan uji validasi media dan materi, uji kepraktisan dilakukan dengan memberikan angket respon kepada guru dan siswa dan uji keefektifan dilakukan dengan pengamatan kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa dan ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal. Penelitian ini menghasilkan media web menggunakan pendekatan problem-solving yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Dikatakan valid karena berdasarkan hasil analisis media diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,58 dan hasil analisis materi diperoleh skor rata-rata 3,62. Ini menunjukkan bahwa media web layak digunakan. Dikatakan praktis karena persentase respon guru sebesar 86,7% dan persentase respon siswa sebesar 80,8%. Dikatakan efektif karena kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran dan aktivitas siswa pada pembelajaran 1 berapa pada kategori baik dan pada pembelajaran 2 berada pada kategori sangat baik, serta ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal tercapai.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran terbimbing adalah model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik, peserta didik juga dilatih mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir, peserta didik dilatih berpikir kritis. Selain itu, dapat membangkitkan gairah belajar pada peserta didik. Motivasi belajar siswa dan hasil belajar siswa terhadap materi pola bilangan mengalami peningkatan karena melalui pembelajaran terbimbing dengan menggunakan alat peraga loncat katak siswa kelas VIII di SMP NU Al Affaniy tambah bersemangat untuk belajar matematika. Untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa terhadap materi pola bilangan melalui pembelajaran terbimbing dengan menggunakan alat peraga loncat katak di kelas VIII SMP NU Al Affaniy, penelitian ini melakukannya dengan cara perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Siklus yang digunakan dalam perencanaan ini ditentukan oleh tingkat keberhasilan siklus sebelumnya. Jika pada siklus tertentu sudah didapatkan hasil yang diharapkan, maka tidak perlu dilakukan siklus selanjutnya. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP NU Al Affaniy, subjek penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP NU Al Affaniy. Berdasarkan paparan data diatas, hasil penelitian,dan pembahasan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa SMP NU Al Affaniy di desa Daleman kecamatan Galis mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran terbimbing pada materi pola barisan bilangan yang dengan penggunaan alat peraga loncat katak dimana ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus I hanya 62,5% dan ketuntasan pada siklus II menjadi 100% dan motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I hanya 69% meningkat menjadi 98% pada siklus II dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi pola barisan bilangan di SMP NU Al Affaniy kelas VIII.
