Abstract

Work motivation is important in the life of an agency or company because with optimal motivation to produce maximum performance, to encourage work motivation to create a good and healthy work environment, the Office of Manpower and Transmigration of South Sulawesi Province, Makassar City is a government agency that handles manpower issues, in general providing services to the community. So all forms of work problems or obstacles that exist must be handled more precisely so that the credibility of the South Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office is maintained. This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance at the Manpower and Transmigration Office of South Sulawesi Province. This research is causality in which the measurement of research variables is in the form of numbers and analyzes in the form of statistics. This research approach takes several stages, namely collecting data through a questionnaire or questionnaire, analyzing data, and testing hypotheses. The aim is to determine the effect of work motivation on employee performance at the Office of Manpower and Transmigration of South Sulawesi Province.The population in this study were 207 employees at the Manpower and Transmigration Office of South Sulawesi Province. Sampling using the Slovin formula with a total of 67 employees. Observation and questionnaire data collection techniques, with simple linear regression testing. work motivation variable affects the performance of the employees of the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of South Sulawesi Province. Abstract

This Community Service Activity (Pengmas) is a form of contribution by lecturers and students in supporting the improvement of digital literacy among vocational high school students, especially students of SMK Negeri 2 Palembang. The main objective of this activity is to equip students with basic knowledge and practical skills in computerization and digital, including software introduction, basic coding, software installation, and simple video editing. The implementation method uses a hands-on training in a computer laboratory, involving two lecturers and several students as facilitators. The activity results showed increased students' interest and understanding of the material presented and active interaction during the training. The school welcomes this activity and hopes to establish sustainable cooperation with higher education institutions. This community service is expected to become a model of educational activities relevant to the needs of the world of work in the digital era and positively impact the competence of vocational school students in facing future challenges.

Abstract

Health is a fundamental aspect of human life that determines the quality of life and productivity of society. The level of public knowledge about health is often a key factor in efforts to prevent and control disease. Health education is a strategic effort to increase public understanding and awareness of the importance of maintaining health, including implementing healthy lifestyles and early detection of various diseases (WHO, 2018). The aim of this service activity is in the form of health checks and counseling around the Mulyorejo Muhammadiyah Branch Leadership (PCM) area to find out about public health and increase public knowledge to avoid non-communicable diseases (PTM). The method used in this activity is to carry out health checks, namely checking blood sugar, cholesterol and also uric acid and counseling each individual after the examination. This educational activity, which is carried out in conjunction with health checks, provides important insight for the community about their current health condition and the preventative steps that need to be taken. It is hoped that the results of this activity can become the basis for developing more comprehensive and sustainable health programs in the future.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 era requires vocational high school graduates to have strong digital competencies to face the challenges of an increasingly technology-based world of work. This study aims to analyze the role of Information Technology (IT) learning in improving the competency of vocational high school students, identify challenges in its implementation, and explore opportunities to strengthen IT learning. The study used a qualitative approach with subjects of students, teachers, and principals in two vocational high schools in Pagaralam City. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, and analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques with data triangulation. The results of the study indicate that IT learning plays an important role in developing students' cognitive aspects (technological knowledge), technical skills (hard skills), and non-technical skills (soft skills). However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as limited infrastructure, uneven teacher competency, gaps in technology access, and suboptimal curriculum development. On the other hand, there are great opportunities to strengthen IT learning through collaboration with industry, utilization of online learning resources, teacher training, and innovation in curriculum and learning methods. These findings are expected to be input for the development of more effective IT learning strategies in vocational high schools.

Abstract

Pengenalan terhadap pentingnya literasi keuangan yang masih minim pada generasi Z dan Alpha. Hal ini menjadi suatu tantangan tersendiri bagi generasi Z dan Alpha yang masih belum paham tentang apa itu keuangan. Dengan demikian Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Yayasan Kafilatur Rosul Pamulang dengan tujuan memberikan edukasi pemahaman literasi keuangan sejak dini. Metode yang digunakan adalah pembelajaran mengenai perhitungan akuntansi sederhana mulai dari membagi uang saku, memberikan penjelasan bagaimana menyimpan dan menggunakan uang dengan baik serta menjelaskan bagaimana membedakan antara kebutuhan dan keinginan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini sendiri terlihat mereka sudah bisa membedakan mana kebutuhan utama mereka sehari-hari dan mana keinginan yang bisa ditunda agar tidak meningkatkan pengeluaran mereka setiap bulannya. Kesimpulan yang bisa didapat yaitu kita sebagai generasi muda harus mengerti dan memahami betapa pentingnya pemahaman literasi keuangan agar bisa mengontrol keuangan kita dimasa yang akan datang. Sarannya metode ini harus selalu di berikan kepada anak-anak sejak dini agar mereka tidak salah langkah dalam mengontrol keuangan mereka sendiri.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance personalized learning in Vocational High Schools (SMKs) in Palembang City. The background of this research is based on the need for adaptive learning to accommodate the diverse characteristics of vocational students, as well as the challenges faced by conventional learning methods. This study employs a descriptive, qualitative approach with an exploratory design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and observations of teachers and students in five vocational schools, both public and private. The results show that AI has been utilized as a Learning Management System (LMS), an Android-based application, and an automated evaluation system, allowing teachers to monitor individual student progress. The main obstacles faced include a limited understanding of technology among teachers, uneven network infrastructure, and concerns about teachers being displaced by automated systems. On the other hand, AI also opens up opportunities to enhance learning motivation, improve teaching efficiency, and provide a more adaptive learning experience. This research contributes to the understanding of AI's application in vocational schools and lays the foundation for developing a more inclusive and responsive digital education policy.
