Abstract

Tanah masam merupakan salah satu kendala utama dalam budidaya tanaman hortikultura karena rendahnya ketersediaan hara dan tingginya toksisitas aluminium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pupuk organik cair (POC) kulit pisang kepok terhadap pH tanah, pertumbuhan, dan hasil tanaman terung. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan percobaan dengan lima taraf konsentrasi POC, yaitu 0, 150, 250, 350, dan 450 mL L⁻¹. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pH tanah, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah cabang, umur berbunga, serta komponen hasil seperti jumlah buah, diameter buah, panjang buah, dan berat buah per tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi POC meningkatkan pH tanah dari 4,3 menjadi 6,0–6,7, dengan nilai tertinggi pada konsentrasi 150 mL L⁻¹. Perlakuan tersebut juga menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik, ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah cabang, percepatan umur berbunga, serta jumlah dan ukuran buah yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Respons tanaman terhadap POC bersifat nonlinier, di mana konsentrasi di atas optimum tidak meningkatkan hasil secara signifikan. Dengan demikian, POC kulit pisang kepok berpotensi sebagai sumber hara dan amelioran tanah yang efektif pada konsentrasi optimum.

Abstract

Padi hitam (Oryza sativa L. indica) merupakan pangan lokal yang kaya antioksidan dan mengandung pigmen paling baik serta memiliki aroma dan rasa yang baik. Salah satu varietas padi hitam yang memiliki penampilan yang spesifik dan unik adalah varietas Jeliteng. Varietas ini memiliki potesi yang tinggi namun kemampuan untuk berproduksi masih rendah. Oleh karena itu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi dengan pupuk silika cair. Penelitian telah dilakukan pada tanah Jenis Andisol di Desa Cibunar, Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat. Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) dengan 5 konsentrasi pupuk silika cair yang berbeda (0 ml/L air (kontrol), 5 ml/L air, 7,5 ml/L air, 10 ml/L air, dan 12,5 ml/L air). Masing-masing penelitian diulang 5 kali dan setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 3 tanaman sehinggan ada 75 tanaman. Pupuk silika cair diaplikasikan saat tanaman berumur 2 Minggu Setelah Tanam (MST), 4 MST. 6 MST dan 8 MST. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk silika cair memberikan respons positif terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, panjang malai, dan jumlah gabah per malai namun tidak berbeda nyata diuji secara statistik. Penggunaan 10 ml/L air pupuk silika cair cenderung memberikan hasil yang lebih bagus dibandingkan dengan penggnaan konsentrasi lainnya baik pada parameter pertumbuhan maupun hasil tanaman. Pemberian pupuk silika cair dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman padi hitam varietas Jeliteng dengan konsetrasi 10 ml/L air. Kata Kunci: Andisol; Padi Hitam; Silika Cair AbstractBlack rice (Oryza sativa L. indica) is a local food that is rich in antioxidants and contains the best pigments and has a good aroma and taste. One of the black rice varieties that has a specific and unique appearance is the Jeliteng variety. This variety has high potential but the ability to produce is still low. Therefore, efforts are being made to increase production with liquid silica fertilizer. Research was carried out on Andisol type soil in Cibunar Village, Garut Regency, West Java. The research was structured using a Randomized Complete Group Design (RKLT) with 5 different concentrations of liquid silica fertilizer (0 ml/L water (control), 5 ml/L water, 7.5 ml/L water, 10 ml/L water, and 12 .5 ml/L water). Each study was repeated 5 times and each experimental unit consisted of 3 plants so there were 75 plants. Liquid silica fertilizer is applied when the plants are 2 weeks after planting (MST), 4 WAP. 6 MST and 8 MST. Research shows that application of liquid silica fertilizer provides a positive response to plant height, number of tillers, panicle length, and number of grains per panicle but there is no significant difference in statistical tests. Using 10 ml/L of liquid silica fertilizer water tends to give better results compared to using other concentrations both on growth parameters and plant yields. Providing liquid silica fertilizer can influence the growth and production of black rice plants of the Jeliteng variety with a concentration of 10 ml/L of water.

Abstract

The content in banana peels, namely protein, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, and sulfur, has the potential to be used as liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). This study aims to evaluate the application of various doses of LOF derived from kepok banana peel on the growth and production of okra plants. The experiment was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta, from March to July 2021. The experiment used a Randomized Group Design (RAK), with six treatments and four repeats. The treatments are P0 (inorganic fertilizer as a control), P1 (50 mL LOF), P2 (75 mL LOF), P3 (100 mL LOF), P4 (125 mL LOF), and P5 (150 mL LOF). The results showed that the application of kepok banana peel LOF did not affect the growth and production of okra plants compared to the application of inorganic fertilizers. Aprisal. et al. Dynamics of Some Physical Properties of Soils Under Conservation Farming System on the Critical Land Aripan in the DTA Singkarak. JLSO 5(2):137-144.The conservation farming on critical land can improve the soil properties and maintantain for a periode of time. The purpose of this research is to study the dynamics of critical land’s physical characteristics under the influence of conservation farming at Singkarak Water Catchment Area (DTA) in Nagari Aripan. The analysis of soil sample is conducted in Soil Science Department Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University. This research is designed with Split Plot Design (RPT). The main plot is a soil processing system which is: conventional soil processing (po), soil processing with mulch (p1), soil processing with compost and manure (p2) and minimum soil processing (p3), while the sub plot consists of three types of plants, they are; sweet corn (t1), soy bean (t2) and peanut (p3). Each treatment is repeated three times. Result of the research is observation data in each season of the first, second and third year. To see the dynamics of soil characteristics, data of each season is viewed through graphic which based on its trend. The result of the research indicates that utilization of critical land with conservation farming system could repair and maintain some physical characteristics of soil in each growing season, such as: decreasing volume, increasing soil organic matter, porosity, and soil permeability. Productivity of soil increases on the conventional processing with mulch, compost, and manure. Conventional soil processing with added compost and manure increases productivity for 32.58% in the first year, 45.16% in the second year, and 59.73% in the third year.
