Abstract

Background: Postpartum contraception is essential for ensuring safe birth spacing and reducing maternal-infant morbidity. However, decision-making regarding contraceptive use remains suboptimal due to inadequate and generalized counseling. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the One-Purpose Counseling Technique in improving postpartum women's decisions on appropriate contraceptive selection. Methods: A pre-experimental post-test-only control group design was used, involving 40 postpartum women within 40 days of delivery. Participants were divided into two groups: 20 received structured One-Purpose Counseling and 20 received standard counseling. Data were collected at the Pamolokan Community Health Center and analyzed using chi-square and independent samples t-test with SPSS 26. Result: Among women who received One-Purpose Counseling, 75% selected an appropriate contraceptive method, compared to only 15% in the control group. The difference was statistically significant (p = 0.00047), indicating a strong effect of the intervention on informed contraceptive decision-making. Conclusion: The One-Purpose Counseling Technique significantly enhances postpartum women's ability to choose suitable contraception by focusing on goal-oriented, personalized interaction. Health practitioners, especially in low-resource settings, are recommended to adopt this model to improve contraceptive uptake and reproductive autonomy. Future research should assess long-term contraceptive adherence and satisfaction following this intervention.

Abstract

English is taught in primary education classes, including for students with special needs. Students with special needs certainly need treatment that is not the same as students in general. This study aims to determine the obstacles experienced by students with special needs in learning English, as well as solutions made by teachers. This research used a mixed method, a combination of qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data were obtained from conducting in-depth interviews with teaching teachers to discover the obstacles and solutions in the teaching and learning process of English subjects. In contrast, quantitative data were obtained from test results to determine the significance of solutions for each disability. Based on the data from the in-depth interview, researchers formulated that there were various obstacles in the learning process. The main factor of these obstacles is the limitations experienced by students. Teachers use the learning media "YouTube" to solve these obstacles. Quantitative test data showed that there were significant differences between blind and autistic (0.003), deaf and autistic (0.00), quadriplegic and autistic (0.00), deaf and intellectual disabilities (0.02), and quadriplegic and intellectual disabilities (0.01). Based on the results of the data above, the researchers concluded that the obstacles faced by ABK students vary and depend on the limitations of each disability. There are significant differences in learning outcomes between blind, quadriplegic, and deaf students when compared to intellectual disabilities and autistic students in learning English using the "YouTube" platform.

Dysmenorrhea in adolescents occurs 60% - 90% and interferes with daily activities. (Lestari H. Metusala, J. & Suryanto, 2010). From the results of the study, in Indonesia the incidence of dysmenorrhea was 64.25%, including 54.89% of primary dysmenorrhea and 9.36% of secondary dysmenorrhea (Ningsih 2011). Women need drugs to reduce the pain, both with pharmacology and non-pharmacology, one of which is hypnotherapy. This study aims to analyze the spiritual effectiveness of hypnotherapy against decreasing dysminorrhea. This type of research is a pre-quantitative quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The research design used was one group pretest posttest, with a sample of 30 respondents. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling that matches the inclusion criteria. This research was conducted from April to October 2019. The instrument used was the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain assessment questionnaire with the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The results of data analysis with the Wilcoxon signed rank test showed p = 0,000 <0.005, so it can be concluded that there is a meaningful effectiveness of spiritual hypnotherapy for the reduction of dysmenorrhea pain in Midwifery students.
