Abstract

AbstractThe main use of attitude assessment as part of learning is a reflection of the understanding and progress of individual learner attitudes. However, cultivating students' scientific attitude as one of the goals of learning still receivesiless attention. This study aims toddeveloppscientific attitudedassessment instruments in physics learning to map student learning interests that are valid, reliable, and practical to use. This type of research is research-development using 7 steps, namely: research and dataicollection, planning, initialiproduct development, initial field trials, revision of trial results, field trials, and revision of operational products. Based on the results of expert validation, the instrument developed obtained an average percentageuvalue of 80% with a very highicategory so that this assessment instrument is feasible to use. Thisbassessment instrument was tested on 100 students and then analyzed using exploratory factor analysis with the help of the SPSS 21 for windows program. Based on the results of the trial data analysis, it was obtained as many as 57 scientific attitude instrument statements to map students' learning interests which were declared valid. The statement items on the instrument for assessing scientific attitudes to map students' interest in learning were declared reliable with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.952 in the scientific attitude instrument, and 0.927 in the instrument of student lear bning interest in the very reliable category. The practicality test of this assessment instrument obtained an average score of 90.52% with very practical criteria. Based on the results obtained, to increase students' interest in learning, it can be suggested to cultivate the scientific attitude of these students. With the growth of a good scientific attitude, the students' interest in learning will also be higher

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to map the trends in physics education development research in Indonesia. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The data collection technique used in this research is documentation. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive in the form of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research show that there are 689 article titles on development research in the field of Physics. The current trend in development research is the development of electronic-based media and assessment instruments, using both PCs and Android applications. The most widely used development research models are 4D, ADDIE, and Brog & Gall. Development research has also focused on high-level thinking skills, as evidenced by the appearance of keywords related to critical thinking in physics development research. Future development research can focus on the use of technology, such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Android applications, and the use of AI.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the practicality and effectiveness of electronic student worksheets based on ethnoscience in training smart risk-taking behavior and a growth mindset. The research employed a hybrid type III mixed-method with a sequential explanatory design, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The subjects of the study were junior high school students in Lampung Province, selected randomly. The worksheets were developed based on ethnoscience principles, integrating local culture, traditional knowledge, and scientific knowledge, with validity tested by experts. Quantitative data were collected through product validity tests and hypothesis testing, while qualitative data were gathered through interviews and observations. Quantitative analysis showed a validity score of 91.60% with very high criteria, and hypothesis testing indicated significant differences between the experimental and control classes in the ability to exhibit smart risk-taking behavior and a growth mindset. Based on these results, it is concluded that ethnoscience-based worksheets are effective in training smart risk-taking behavior and a growth mindset, emphasizing the importance of integrating local cultural context in educational tools to enhance learning outcomes and personal development. This approach helps bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and modern scientific understanding, creating a more holistic educational framework.         Keywords: electronic student worksheets, ethnoscience, growth mindset, smart risk-taking behavior.DOI: https://doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i1.pp127-141
