Abstract

Self-esteem contributes to an individual’s mental health and quality of life because it determines who they are, activities they do, as well as their personality. This study aimed to describe the development of students’ self-esteem through group counselling intervention with an assertive training technique. Employing a true experimental method with the pretest–posttest control group design, this study involved 191 students as the samples following Isaac and Michael at an error level of 5% of the total population of 420 students. From the self-esteem questionnaires, it was found that 28 students belonged to the low self-esteem group. Then, interventions were carried out in six sessions outside of class hours, with a duration of 90 minutes for each session. The data were obtained through the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI) instrument with a reliability value of .92, and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney two mean discrimination test. The results showed that students who were given group-counselling interventions with assertive training technique were better than those in the control group. Therefore, assertive training technique helps restore students' awareness of their rights to have a happy and esteemed life. Besides, assertive training technique helps renew students' confidence in the functioning of their minds and belief in their abilities in facing life challenges.

Abstract

Self-esteem is a form of individual assessment of himself as an individual who has the ability, meaning, value and competence. Stepping on the transition period from elementary school to junior high school, every individual needs an adjustment to the new environment, one of which is that each individual must be able to show good behavior in the community, but if the individual has not been able to assess how far the individual assesses himself then will have an impact on the emergence of conflicts that come from within him and judge something irrationally which will have an impact on emotional disturbances that can affect his relationships with other people. The purpose of this study is that students are able to assess themselves, be able to socialize and be able to communicate well. This study uses descriptive qualitative by analyzing existing data by describing in detail. This study uses respondents totaling 6 seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Soreang by looking at the results of observations that have been made tend to have self-esteem low. For this reason, it is necessary to provide BK services withtechniques assertive training for 3 meetings via video calls media WhatsApp which are supported by the results of interviews and observations showing changes from within students who are able to assess themselves, are able to think positively and can adapt well.Keywords: Assertive Training Techniques, Self Esteem

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus has changed the procedures of civilization in Indonesia, especially during the learning process. Changes in the learning process will have an impact on face-to-face and other learning modes, as well as on learning motivation, because it is certain that students can feel bored when studying online at home. This study aims to confirm the learning motivation of SMA Negeri 4 Cimahi or the concept of student learning encouragement during the COVID-19 outbreak. This study uses a qualitative description system. The data collection methods that I used in this study were interviews and recording. The results showed that this study was conducted on four students of SMA Negeri 4 Cimahi whose learning motivation is still very low, the signs include: family conditions, learning abilities, student conditions, monotonous learning, lack of motivation to learn, and teachers teaching.  Keywords: concept motivation, pandemic covid-19

Abstract

Communication is not only about conveying the message content but can also determine the level of human interpersonal relationships. The Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred has made the government decide to study from home and students are asked to be able to adapt to new circumstances, which is one of the reasons for hampering interpersonal communication skills. The purpose of this study was to find out that group guidance services can be used to develop students' interpersonal communication skills. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observations. The subjects of this study were 6 students of XI IPS 4 SMAN 1 Batujajar. Judging from the results with the provision of group guidance services agreed upon by the BK teacher and students for 3 meetings by formulating planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up, the results obtained are that students are able to be open in telling stories, communicating with others, students becoming more responsive when communicating. and students can appreciate when communicating. The results showed that the provision of group guidance services can develop students' interpersonal communication skills.

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aims to find out how group guidance services with discussion techniques increase the self-confidence of class XI high school students during the covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were six students of SMAN 1 Batujajar class XI IPS 2 who had low self-confidence. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of research that has been done, there are changes in students before and after the implementation of group guidance services with discussion techniques provided by the guidance and counseling teacher. The conclusion of this study is that group guidance services with effective discussion techniques can help students increase the self-confidence of class XI high school students during the covid-19 pandemic. Keywords: Group guidance, Discussion Techniques, Self-Confidence

Abstract

This research aims to be able to find out the confidence profile of class XI Ipa students, so that it can be known the number of students who have confidence in high, medium, and low categories. Self-confidence is a keyaninan or self-assessment of all that concerns ability, excess after deficiency. Confidence will continue to grow if trained and accustomed. The methods used in this study use qualitative approaches and descriptive methods. The sample in this study was taken in students of class XI Ipa at State High School 4 Cimahi, taking a sample of 35 students, including 11 men and 24 women. Data collection techniques in the form of spreading confidence questionnaires to students. So based on the results of the spread of this questionnaire can be concluded there are 20 students (57%) who are categorized as having high self-confidence, 10 students (29%) categorized as having moderate self-confidence, and 5 students (14%) who are categorized as having low self-confidence.Keywords: Student Profile, Confidence

Abstract

The current situation in Indonesia is the covid 19 pandemic makes the government (ministry of education) apply online learning or distance learning (PJJ) regulations. Which we don't realize this affects the emotional intelligence of students. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of emotional intelligence of students of class VII SMPN 9 Cimahi during online learning. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods. Data collection techniques use interviews, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of research in SMPN 9 Cimahi there are two categories of emotional intelligence students, measurements of low emotional intelligence category and high emotional intelligence are measured by the results of emotional intelligence questionnaire scores that have previously been given by BK teachers, students with high emotional intelligence students are able to learn emotions and express in positive things and students with low emotional intelligence focused on two indicators that have not been able to facilitate attention to the task being done and do not have the ability to communicate with others.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Class VII Students, Online Learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine group guidance services in increasing student self-confidence. This research method uses literature review method from previous research. The subjects of this study are some of the results of previous research which are in accordance with the variables discussed in this research. From the results of research group guidance services can be used as an effort to increase student self-confidence, this is evidenced by a change in the subject after the implementation of group guidance (previous literature review). Based on the results of the study that had been done, it was found that through the group guidance technique the students' self-confidence began to build. This can be seen from the increased students' understanding of the rules in life and increased confidence in themselves regarding the ways that can be done in solving each problem. Abstract

One of the tasks of adolescent development is to develop talent, interest and plan a career. But in the field not all students have good career planning and can develop their talents and interests. Based on this, it is necessary to have a solution to optimize student development tasks. One of them can use career information services through the website. The subjects of this study were class VIII students with a limited-scale research sample of 10 students, and a large-scale research sample of 35 students. This research uses the development research method or RnD (Research and Development). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the developed website. After conducting the research, based on the results of the assessment of the validation test of media experts 100.00%, material experts 98.80%, practitioners 97.91%, and students 81.24% after the average results show 94.48%, which means that that the effectiveness of the guidance website on career planning is in the category of very feasible and effective for student career planning.Keywords:   Website, Career Planning

Abstract

Career planning is very important for vocational high school students for future success. SMK students begin to plan for the future with what they hope to make the right career decisions in the future. The purpose of this study is to improve students' career planning skills through career guidance by using E-Module media support for students. This study uses a pre-experimental method with the research design of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Participants in this study were students of class XI SMKN 1 Cipanas. The sampling technique was simple random sampling and 36 students of class XI OTKP 2 were selected. Methods of data collection using career planning instruments. The analysis used is the Paired Sample T-Test formula. The results of the research show that career guidance with the use of E-Modules can improve career planning skills which can be seen from the significant difference from the average before guidance of 123 and the average after career guidance of 146. E-Modules can improve the career planning skills of class XI SMKN 1 Cipanas.Keywords: Career Planning, Career Guidance, E-Module Media
