Abstract

Aktivitas pembelajaran terhadap siswa di taman kanak-kanak hendaknya dilaksanakan untuk memberikan pemahaman bagi siswa melalui pengalaman nyata yang memungkinkan mereka untuk menunjukkan aktivitas dan rasa ingin tahu secara optimal. Manfaat keberhasilan pembelajaran dapat lebih dirasakan apabila yang diperoleh siswa dari pembelajaran dapat diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan mereka sehari-hari. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para guru di RA Ulfa Khairuna adalah berkaitan dengan kurangnya pemahaman para guru terhadap model pembelajaran yang mampu mengaitkan materi yang diajarkan dengan lingkungan. Beberapa guru merasa kesulitan dalam menumbuhkan sikap para siswa agar lebih peduli terhadap lingkungannya melalui materi pembelajaran yang disampaikan khususnya materi bahasa Inggris, seperti mengajarkan mereka agar mampu menjaga kebersihan dengan tidak membuang sampah sembarangan dan mengucapkan salam ketika masuk ruang kelas. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut tim pengabdian UMN Al Washliyah memutuskan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan PKM terhadap guru-guru di RA Ulfa Khairuna. Rencana kegiatan PKM tersebut dilaksanakan dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada para guru tentang model pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis pelestarian alam dan budaya islami. Model pembelajaran tersebut diharapkan mampu membantu para guru dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran agar lebih dekat dengan alam dan sekaligus mampu berperan dalam melestarikan budaya islami. Pembelajaran kontekstual sendiri mampu mendorong anak untuk menemukan hubungan antara materi yang dipelajarinya dengan kehidupan nyata, artinya anak dituntut untuk dapat menangkap hubungan antara pengalaman yang didapat di sekolah dengan kehidupan nyata. Tutorial dan diskusi dilakukan sebagai metode untuk menjelaskan dan membimbing para guru di RA Ulfa Khairuna dalam memahami model pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis pelestarian alam dan budaya islami tersebut. Hasil analisis angket yang diberikan kepada peserta pengabdian tersebut menunjukan bahwa 50% peserta pengabdian sangat memahami materi pelatihan, 30% cukup, dan 20% kurang memahami.

Abstract

In this thesis entitled An Analysis of Irony Used in Wednesday Addams Series, researchers will examine the existence the types of irony and the meaning contained in it. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. This drama series was chosen because there are many sentences that contain ironic language styles in it. The theory used to analyze the data uses semantic theory. The purpose of this research is to analyze irony sentences and then classify them based on the meaning they have so that they can produce certain types of irony. After analyzing the data, there are three types of irony, namely Verbal irony, Situational irony and Drama irony found in conversations and character interactions in each drama series.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to investigate The Improving Students’ Vocabulary By Using fiction Movie. The population of the study was the second year of the students of STIE Alwashliyah Sibolga in 2021/2022 academic year, the total number of students was 80 students. The sample consist of two classes, there were 40 students of II A as an control group and II B as a experimental group. The method of the study was quantitative research with pre-experimental approach. The instrument used in this researcher was a vocabulary. The pre-test and post-test were administrated. Based on the calculation, the mean score of pre-test was 76.75 and mean of post-test was 9575. So, it could be stated that the hypothesis “Improving Students’ Vocabulary By Using Fiction Movie. Based on the result, it could be concluded that there was an improvement of the English vocabulary students through fiction Movie.

Abstract

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi sumberdaya dan kemampuan dalam bisnis di Ekowisata Batu Katak dengan menggunakan analisis Valueable, Rare, unImitability, Organize (VRIO). Penulisan paper ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif. Penelitian ini termasukpenelitian deskriptif. Berdasarkan keterlibatan peneliti adalah tidak mengintervensi data. Berdasarkan unit analisis sampel  yang digunakan adalah pihak yang mempelopori dibukanya ekowisata Batu Katak. Narasumber yang digunakan adalah narasumber yang berkompeten serta mengetahui kondisi Ekowisata Batu Katak dan mengerti konsep pariwisata. Temuan bahwa Kompetensi inti yang dimiliki oleh ekowisata batu katak  yang berasal dari sumberdaya tangible adalah   kondisi Alam, bunga bangkai yang unik (Amorphophallus titanum) yang tersebar di kebun masyarakat, bahan baku penyedia makanan yang diambil langsung dari kebun masyarakat,  atraksi wisata seperti trekking, tubing, susur gua juga merupakan kekuatan dalam pengembangan ekowisata. Adapun kompetensi lain yang berasail dari sumberdaya intangible dan berdaya saing dengan pesaingnya adalah kedekatan dengan pengunjung dan Berbatasan langsung dengan Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser, oleh UNESCO sebagai Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatera. Kompetensi di bidang kapabilitas yang dianggap kurang dan memerlukan perhatian khusus adalah skill pemasaran

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini memberikan pelatihan speaking for formal untuk guru di TK RA Ulfa Khairuna. Kegiatan dilaksanakan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi dan latihan. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk melihat efektifitas kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pelatihan ini yaitu kemampuan speaking guru-guru di TK RA Ulfa Khairuna meningkat setelah kegiatan dilaksanakan. Pemahaman guru-guru meningkat dengan rata-rata sebesar 80% setelah pelatihan. Mengalami peningkatan dari sebelum kegiatan dengan rata-rata 36%. Berdasarkan dari kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini berjalan sangat baik dapat dilihat dari antusias mitra dalam mengikuti kegiatan sangat positif. Selain itu pelatihan speaking for informal dalam proses belajar mengajar ini juga meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru dalam speaking khususnya speaking dalam bentuk formal dimana selama ini guru-guru masih sering menggunakan bahasa yang tidak formal dalam mengajar yang seharunya proses belajar merupakan kegiatan formal.

Abstract

This training was held at Universitas Harapan Medan which is located at Jl. Imam Bonjol No. 35 Medan. Based on the results of observations carried out by the service team, several problems faced by students at the university were obtained, especially those related to English. Most of them still don't dare to communicate in English and are still passive when there are activities or competitions held by the campus, such as English debate competitions. English language experts consider English Debate to be very effective when applied to improve speaking. It is hoped that students will be more enthusiastic about participating in English debate training if it is combined with video blog (vlog) media. Video media is a type of audio-visual media. This media can increase students' interest in learning because students can listen and see pictures. Service activities are carried out in three stages. The first stage is the preparation stage. In this stage, the service team carries out a preliminary survey to see the conditions in partners and also look for problems faced by students, especially in terms of English. The next stage is the stage of implementing community service activities. The final stage is the evaluation stage. In this stage, evaluation is carried out on the results achieved by the training participants. Further input and improvements can be made at this stage. Evaluation is provided by collecting data obtained from training activities.

Abstract

In today's tight business world competition, all businesses must pay attention to online marketing. One of the problems that emerged during this Community Service activity was that the people of Kelahan Harjosari II, Medan Amplas District did not have the knowledge of how to market their goods digitally, which would enable them to make more of their goods for their family's needs. The aim of this counseling is to help them understand better about digital marketing. MSMEs in Harjosari II Village, Medan Amplas District, are the targets of this community service program. The method of implementing this activity is through presentations and lectures. The result of community service activities is increased knowledge and understanding about online marketing, as shown by the social media selection strategy used for online marketing activities because social media is very popular in Indonesia. Participants can also create marketing content that suits their target market and product type.

Abstract

This research examines the application of infographic media and innovative learning videos as an effort to improve the English language scientific article writing skills of students at Harapan University, Medan. Infographics are information media presented in text form, and combined with several visual elements such as images, illustrations, graphs and so on. The advantage of infographic learning media is that it has an attractive appearance, so learning is not boring. It helps students to know what being studied. Infographics and innovative learning videos are the right solution to overcome the problems faced by Harapan University Medan students who are often bored and not enthusiastic about following the learning process, especially regarding English. Quasi Experimental type (quasi-experiment) using Non-equivalent Control Group Design was used in this research. Today's students have experienced a lot of lagging behind, especially in terms of techniques for writing good and correct scientific papers. In fact, this need must always be realized in empowering students for the benefit of society. Therefore, students must be given sufficient provisions in order to prepare for their future, especially in scientific transformation related to good and correct scientific writing techniques.
