Abstract

This study conducted a needs analysis for the development of financial literacy storybooks for junior high school students on the Story Jumper platform, using the Fuzzy Delphi method. A panel of 10 experts, including financial educators, curriculum developers, educational technologists, and professional storytellers, was formed and consulted through three rounds. The study revealed eight priority content areas in financial literacy: first comes Saving Wisely (93.3%), followed by Managing Expenses (90.0%), and Understanding Money and Credit (86.7%). The most significant expectancies mentioned are elements of storytelling such as interactive decision points (93.3%) and relatable characters: teenage protagonists (86.7%) essential for engaging students and enhancing learning. Guidelines for implementation stipulated the optimum duration for a story of 15 to 20 minutes, adding interactive elements every 3-4 pages and visual elements such as drawings every 2-3 pages. The compatibility assessment unveiling the extent of Story Jumper found that it is very aligned with visual storytelling (0.92) but limited in as far as complex financial calculations (0.71). While this study offers considerably useful guidelines for the incorporation of financial literacy storybooks into the educational setups, the following isolated limitations require further search. These include reliance on expert opinion, no classroom trials, limited cultural context appraisal, and lack of longitudinal studies. All in all, this study therefore illuminates the potential of digital storytelling as an innovative pedagogical approach for teaching financial literacy and provides practical advice to educators and program developers while setting the stage for future investigations and refinements of these resources.

Abstract

Despite widespread promotion of budgetary innovation in developing countries, empirical evidence reveals contradictory performance outcomes that remain inadequately explained. This study investigates budgetary innovation's paradoxical effects on managerial performance in developing country public sectors. Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with data from 230 structural officials across 27 Indonesian government agencies in Merauke Regency (100% response rate), we find that budgetary innovation produces significant negative direct effects on managerial performance (β = -0.156, p = 0.013) while simultaneously generating equally strong positive indirect effects through enhanced job satisfaction (β = +0.156, p < 0.001), resulting in complete offsetting with near-zero net impact. Grounded in the Job Characteristics Model and Affective Events Theory, findings demonstrate that innovations disrupt performance through operational challenges, learning demands, and resource constraints while enhancing performance through improved work meaningfulness, autonomy, skill variety, and feedback mechanisms. The paradox reconciles contradictory evidence in existing literature and suggests public sector leaders should anticipate temporary performance decrements while deliberately investing in participatory implementation, comprehensive training, and satisfaction enhancement strategies to achieve net positive outcomes in resource-constrained developing country contexts.

Abstract

Cooperatives at the village/sub-district level play a strategic role in driving the people's economy, yet they are frequently constrained by limited managerial capacity and access to formal capital. This community service program, organized by the Provincial Government of South Papua, aims to enhance the capacity of cooperative managers through business mentoring and the formulation of bankable credit proposals for Himbara Banks (State-Owned Banks). This activity featured Adi Maulana Rachman, a lecturer from Universitas Musamus (Unmus), as the keynote speaker and was attended by cooperative management representatives from four regencies in South Papua Province, focusing the workshop on the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative. The implementation method was carried out through three stages: material presentation (theory), proposal drafting workshop (practice), and post-training mentoring. The results of the activity indicated a 75% increase in the partners' understanding regarding cooperative regulations and capital application techniques, alongside the compilation of draft business proposals ready to be submitted to banking institutions. This program is expected to accelerate the capitalization of cooperative businesses in the South Papua region. Keywords: Training, Cooperative, Economy, Capital, Regulation

Abstract

The rapid proliferation of smart decision systems within healthcare settings has emerged as a pivotal force in advancing global sustainability agendas, yet a comprehensive understanding of the field's intellectual trajectory remains elusive. This study employs a systematic bibliometric analysis that conducted through Biblioshiny using data retrieved from the Scopus database to map the evolving landscape of research at the intersection of smart decision systems, healthcare, and sustainability. The analysis encompasses publication trends, citation networks, co-authorship patterns, keyword co-occurrence structures, and the most influential contributing countries, institutions, and journals. Findings reveal a marked acceleration in scholarly output since 2018, with artificial intelligence, clinical decision support, and sustainable health systems constituting the dominant thematic clusters. Emerging research frontiers include the integration of machine learning into resource allocation frameworks and the application of Internet of Things technologies in sustainable hospital management. These results underscore the strategic significance of interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-informed policy formulation. The study ultimately provides researchers, healthcare administrators, and policymakers with a data-driven roadmap for directing future investments and aligning smart health technologies with long-term sustainability goals.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Social Media Marketing Activities on Purchase Decision through Brand Equity in the context of Catholic educational institutions under Yayasan Pendidikan dan Persekolahan Katolik Merauke. A quantitative explanatory approach was applied by involving 100 parents whose children study at YPPK schools. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. Social Media Marketing Activities were measured through social media understanding, entertainment, interaction, trendiness, customization, and word of mouth. Brand Equity was measured through brand awareness, brand association, brand loyalty, and perceived quality, while Purchase Decision was measured through school choice decision, confidence in school choice, and willingness to recommend the school. The findings show that Social Media Marketing Activities have a significant effect on Purchase Decision, although the direct relationship is negative. Social Media Marketing Activities have a positive and significant effect on Brand Equity, and Brand Equity has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision. Furthermore, Brand Equity partially mediates the relationship between Social Media Marketing Activities and Purchase Decision. This study contributes to educational marketing literature by positioning Brand Equity as a key mechanism that explains how social media activities influence parents’ school choice decisions. The study offers originality by examining digital marketing, brand equity, and school choice decisions in Catholic educational institutions, a context rarely examined in previous social media marketing studies. YPPK should manage social media not merely as promotional media, but as a strategic instrument to strengthen reputation, trust, perceived quality, and institutional values.
