Abstract

This study aims to measure the effectiveness of cultural integration on the productivity of Mathematics and Natural Sciences students during the implementation of distance learning. The culture integrated into this research is a habit that becomes a society's tradition in behaving. The research problem is about the integration of culture on character formation, which impacts student productivity. The study used mixed methods with quantitative data from questionnaires and qualitative data from interviews and document analysis. The research targets are 344 students filled out the questionnaire. After the questionnaire data was analyzed, it was deepened through interviews. The relationship test between character strengthening and students' productivity obtained a correlation coefficient value of 0.59, indicating that the correlation between variables is quite strong. Internalization of cultural values into forming students' characters in distance lectures and activities is carried out through habituation. The selection of online application media refers to the ease of access, students' common use, and ease of operation. The research concludes that students' characters contribute to building students' self-awareness to be productive.

Abstract

Cassava leaves are the main barrier for oxidation reactions. This happens because of the chlorophyll content, but chlorophyll levels will increase with age until the leaves develop fully and then chlorophyll levels decrease when the leaves get older. When the leaves are old it is indicated that there are other compounds that act as the main barrier for oxidation reactions, namely flavonoids. Flavonoid is seen from the antioxidant activity of the leaves. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of chlorophyll, antioxidant activity and the relationship between chlorophyll levels and antioxidant activity. This study uses seven cassava cultivars in Wonosobo. The leaves were extracted using the maceration method then the antioxidant activity was measured using DPPH method besides chlorophyll content was measured using a spectrophotometer using the ARNON method, then from the results of measurements of chlorophyll content and antioxidant activity in the Pearson Correlation method correlation test. Cassava results from Wonosobo cultivars Marsinah had the highest antioxidant activity of 71.13%. Furthermore Martapura (46.27%), Green Handle Vegetables (46.27%), Palengka (46.13%), Rubber (39.64%), Red Handle Vegetables (39.36%) and the lowest one is Kastepe cultivars that is 36.87%. While the highest chlorophyll content of Marsinah cultivars is 32.19 mg / l. Next Rubber (29.44 mg / l), Green Vegetable Handle (28.04 mg / l), Kastepe (27.66 mg / l), Martapura (27.30 mg / l), Palengka (22.82 mg / ll) and the lowest is the Red Handle Vegetable cultivar which is 22.01 mg / l. From these results, it can be concluded that ducks There is no correlation between chlorophyll levels and antioxidant activity of cassava cultivars in Wonosobo district. Daun singkong merupakan barrier utama untuk reaksi oksidasi. Hal ini terjadi karena adanya kandungan klorofil, akan tetapi kadar klorofil akan meningkat seiring bertambahnya umur sampai daun berkembang penuh dan kemudian kadar klorofil menurun ketika daun semakin tua. Pada saat daun sudah tua diindikasikan bahwa ada senyawa lain yang berperan sebagai barrier utama untuk reaksi oksidasi yaitu flavonoid. Falvonoid dilihat dari aktivitas antioksidan daun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kadar aklorofil, aktivitas antioksidan dan hubungan anatara kadar klorofil dengan aktivitas antioksidan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tujuh kultivar singkong yang ada di wonosobo. Daun diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi kemudian diukur aktivitas antioksidannya menggunakan metode DPPH selain itu kadar klorofil diukur menggunakan spektrofotometer menggunakan metode ARNON, kemudian dari hasil pengukuran kadar klorofil dan aktivitas antioksidan di uji korelasi metode Pearson Correlation. Hasil menunjukkan Singkong dari Wonosobo kultivar Marsinah memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang paling tinggi yaitu 71,13%. Selanjutnya Martapura (46,27%), Sayur Gagang Hijau (46,27%), Palengka (46,13%), Karet (39,64%), Sayur Gagang Merah (39,36%) dan yang terendah adalah kultivar Kastepe yaitu 36,87%. Sedangkan kadar klorofil yang paling tinggi kultivar Marsinah yaitu 32,19 mg/l. Selanjutnya Karet (29,44 mg/l), Sayur Gagang Hijau (28,04 mg/l), Kastepe (27,66 mg/l), Martapura (27,30 mg/l), Palengka (22,82 mg/l) dan yang terendah adalah kultivar Sayur Gagang Merah yaitu 22,01 mg/l. Abstract

Online learning changes learning habits from face to face to distance learning. The purpose of the study is to measure the character index of mathematics and science student teachers in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study used mixed methods, collecting and analyzing quantitative data through questionnaires targeting Mathematics and Science student teachers, followed by qualitative data through interviews. The questionnaire used a Likert five scale option. The number of research targets was 340 student teachers with 224 women and 116 men. The results obtained are four indicators of mathematics and science student teachers characters in online learning that are less than optimal, consisting of beginning and ending lectures by praying, attendance, and politeness while optimal in the timeliness indicator collecting assignments with an index of 4.40 from a maximum index of 5.00. The study concludes that online learning has an impact on the character index of student teachers.

Abstract

Analysis of students' achievement in 2019 found new facts that there was a tendency to decrease in achievement from the achievement path and the Indonesian Smart College Card students. The percentage of students' achievement from both paths is less than 5%. This study aims to develop a student achievement coaching model for prospective science and mathematics teachers from the achievement and KIPK paths. The research uses research and development methods to develop a student coaching model involving education management experts to validate the model. The study obtained results where the student achievement coaching model was declared suitable for use by experts. The results of a large-scale model applicability test involve 240 prospective science and mathematics teachers. The percentage of students who made achievement for one semester from the achievement path was 16%, and from the KIPK path was 25%. The coaching model increased students' achievements, which was less than 5% for both paths. In conclusion, the student achievement coaching model from this research can be a new way to continue the culture to make achievements during school and college.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode observasi dengan LKS Word Square terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP N 1 Warureja Kabupaten Tegal semester genap tahun ajaran 2010/2011. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII sebanyak 9 kelas. Sampel tiga kelas yaitu kelas VII G, VII H dan VII I diambil dengan teknik purpossive sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental Design dengan rancangan One-Shot Case Study. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 83,52% siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran serta 92,08% siswa telah melampui KKM pembelajaran (≥ 75% aktivitas siswa termasuk dalam kategori aktivitas sangat tinggi dan aktivitas tinggi serta 85% dari keseluruhan siswa memperoleh nilai ≥ 65). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode observasi dengan LKS Word Square pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup efektif terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. This research aims to find out effectiveness of  observation method application using  Word Square LKS toward activity and student learning result on human being clasification material. This research was done in SMP N 1 Warureja Kabupaten Tegal in semester VII  there were 9 classess. The sample was three classess which were VII G, VII H, and VII I and  taken using purposive technic sampling. This research is Quasi experimental design using One-Shote Case Study desaign. The research result showed that 83,52% student active in learning also 92,08% student was over learning KKM  (≥ 75% student activity which were include in very high activity category and high activity also 85% from all student  achieved  mark ≥ 65). The research summary is an observation method application using Word Square LKS on human being clasification material was effective toward activity and student learning result.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter menjadi program prioritas pemerintah untuk di implementasikan di semua jenjang pendidikan di Indonesia, tidak terkecuali perguruan tinggi. Pendidikan karakter dapat di implementasikan melalui kegiatan kurikuler dan non kurikuler di perguruan tinggi. Implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran merupakan salah satu cara yang efektif berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang pendidikan karakter. IPA merupakan salah satu bidang ilmu yang memembahas tentang fenomena alam dengan obyek benda hidup dan tidak hidup mendukung implementasi pendidikan karakter. Indonesia yang menganut landasan ketuhanan yang maha esa tentu memandang IPA tidak lepas dari pencipta. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini membahas rancangan bahan ajar konsep dasar IPA berbasis pendekatan ALSAK dalam perkuliahan konsep dasar IPA untuk meningkatkan karakter rasa ingin tahu calon guru SD menggunakan tema berpuasa. Penyusunan artikel ini berlandaskan hasil penelitian yang membahas pendikan karakter melalui pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Kegiatan pembelajaran di SMA Islam Al-Azhar 14 Semarang masih terbatas melalui metode ceramah, diskusi dan praktikum yang masih berpusat pada guru (teacher centered learning). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis STEAM dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, tes, dan observasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment Design dengan rancangan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Islam Al-Azhar 14 Semarang dengan populasi penelitian kelas X. Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa purposive sampling dengan sampel kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil uji Wilcoxon kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses memperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000. Hasil uji hipotesis Mann-Whitney kemampuan berpikir kritis mendapat nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,034 sedangkan untuk keterampilan proses memperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,005. Hasil Uji N-Gain kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai 0,60 termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol 0,40 termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Nilai ketuntasan kelas eksperimen diperoleh 95,83% dan kelas kontrol 87,50%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis STEAM efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses siswa pada materi perubahan lingkungan.

Abstract

The results of the PISA study in 2015 show that the critical thinking ability of the majority of students in Indonesia is still low. The low critical thinking ability of students is an indicator that determines the quality of student learning outcomes. One of the reasons is that there are not many learning media that are able to facilitate the diversity of student learning that can be accessed by mobile. E-Modules that are made specifically for differentiated learning are media developed to answer these problems. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics, feasibility, and effectiveness of interactive e-modules in differentiated learning to improve students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. This study refers to the development research design of Borg and Gall which consists of 10 steps, but the researcher only conducts research up to the eighth step, namely Operational Field Testing. Data collection was carried out by interview, questionnaire and test methods (pretest and posttest). The data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive analysis, feasibility percentage analysis and N-Gain test. The e-module developed has a special characteristic, namely the existence of features that support differentiating content, processes and products based on visual and auditory learning styles. The results of the e-module feasibility test by validators of media experts and material experts, both received very feasible criteria with percentages of 99.3% and 93.4%. In the feasibility test by users, very feasible criteria were also obtained, both in the teacher's response and the student's response, with a percentage of 96% and 83.25%, respectively. In the N-Gain test, the results of the e-module were also found to be effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, with an average class N-Gain score of 0.85. So the conclusion is that the interactive e-module on differentiated learning has proven to be feasible and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes on the Body Defense System material.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of the Example Non Example learning model assisted by Nearpod media to improve students' analysis and communication skills on Reproductive System material. This type of research is a quasi experiment with a non-equivalent control group design with pretest and posttest. The research sample consisted of students of XI MIPA 6 class as the experimental class and XI MIPA 7 as the control class. Data were collected through tests, observations, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed statistically quantitative and test (N-gain). The results showed: 1) the example non example learning model assisted by nearpod media can improve students' analytical skills, this is evidenced by the increase from the pretest to the posttest results of the experimental class higher than the control class, namely in the experimental class getting 65% results while in the control class getting 50% results; 2) the example non example learning model assisted by nearpod media can improve students' communication skills, this is evidenced by the increase in communication observation results of the experimental class at the initial meeting 49% increased at the final meeting to 89%
