Abstract

ABSTRAKKata kunci: Inovasi, Dekorasi, dan laporan keuanganABSTRACTKubu Bali Dekorasi has several problems, namely 1) product presentation, still using paper, so it is prone to damage, 2) There is no information media (stickers, business cards and Instagram) about products from Kubu Bali Dekorasi, 3) financial reports are still written manually , so that there is a risk of errors in making financial reports. From the results of discussions with the Bali Decoration Kubu, it was agreed that several problem solving solutions had been prioritized with several activities of the Science and Technology program that would be applied to the Bali Decoration camp, namely: 1) Provision of Tablets to designate decoration products to prospective customers, directly in terms of making innovations, stickers, business cards and Instagram that contain products of decorating services, 3) assistance with the procedures for preparing financial statements. Currently Kubu Bali Dekorasi has used tablets for product presentations, has stickers, business cards and Instagram to promote their services, and financial reports that have not been done manually.Keywords: Innovation, Decoration, and financial statementsKubu Bali Dekorasi memiliki beberapa permasalahan yaitu 1) Saat presentasi produk, masih menggunakan kertas, sehingga rawan rusak, 2) Belum ada media informasi (Stiker,kartu nama dan instagram) mengenai produk dari Kubu Bali Dekorasi, 3) Laporan keuangan masih ditulis dengan manual, sehingga riskan terjadinya kesalahan dalam membuat lapran keuangan. Dari hasil diskusi dengan pihak Kubu Bali Dekorasi telah disepakati beberapa solusi pemecahan masalah yang telah diprioritaskan dengan beberapa kegiatan dari program Iptek yang akan diterapkan pada Kubu Bali Dekorasi yaitu: 1) Pemberian Tablet guna peruntukkannya untuk presentasi produk dekorasi kepada calon konsumen, 2) Pendampingan secara langsung dalam hal membuat inovasi Stiker, kartu nama dan instagram yang berisikan mengenai produk jasa dekorasi, 3) Pendampingan mengenai tata cara penyusunan laporan keuangan. Saat ini Kubu Bali Dekorasi sudah mempergunakan tablet untuk presentasi produk, memiliki stiker,kartu nama dan instagram untuk mempromosikan jasanya, dan laporan keuangan yan g sudah tidak dikerjakan secara manual.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan melalui program pelatihan penggunaan Canva untuk membuat poster promosi di SMKS Pariwisata Kertayasa, Singakerta, Ubud. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan desain grafis siswa dengan menggunakan Canva, sebuah alat desain online yang ramah pengguna. Program ini mencakup instruksi komprehensif tentang fitur dasar dan lanjutan Canva, pemilihan template, manipulasi teks dan gambar, pengaturan tata letak, dan kolaborasi proyek. Siswa berpartisipasi aktif dan menunjukkan tingkat keterlibatan yang tinggi, yang menghasilkan pemahaman materi yang baik. Pelatihan ini berhasil, dengan siswa mampu membuat poster promosi yang efektif. Rekomendasi untuk siswa meliputi praktik berkelanjutan, eksplorasi fitur Canva, tetap mengikuti tren desain, dan mencari umpan balik konstruktif. Bagi guru, disarankan untuk mengintegrasikan Canva ke dalam kurikulum yang relevan, memberikan bimbingan berkelanjutan, dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung kreativitas. Pelatihan ini menyoroti efektivitas Canva sebagai alat edukatif, memberikan siswa keterampilan berharga untuk kegiatan promosi dan usaha kreatif di masa depan.

Abstract

The study aimed at figuring out the correlation between grammar mastery and writing ability in descriptive text of the tenth-grade students of SMA N 1 Mengwi in academic year 2022/2023. The design was correlation research design. Two research instruments are used by the researcher; there are simple present test for grammar mastery and descriptive text for writing ability. There were 43 subjects who consist of 19 males and 24 females and they were determined by random sampling technique. The result of the test showed that there was significant correlation between grammar mastery and writing ability in descriptive text. The researcher used SPSS 25 as a statistical computation. The result of normality test for grammar mastery was 0.053 and for speaking ability was 0.065; homogeneity test was 0.067; Pearson product moment was 0,000; and for the T-test was 0.001. It indicated that there was a significant correlation between grammar mastery and writing ability in descriptive text. Thus, the hypothesis was significantly accepted. It can be concluded that there was significant correlation between grammar mastery and writing ability in descriptive text of the tenth-grade students of SMA N 1 Mengwi in academic year 2022/2023.

Abstract

Teaching practice (PLP II) is considered a compulsory subject for pre-service teachers (PSTs). This agenda is done to equip PSTs with experiences to teach in real-world settings. This study belonged to qualitative study which aimed at analyzing politeness strategies employed by ELE pre-service teachers (PSTs) of FKIP Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar in academic year 2024/2025 during their teaching practices in SMK Rekayasa Denpasar. There were two ELE PSTs being observed. The data were gathered through video recordings of ELE PSTs’ teaching practices in classrooms. The utterances were analyzed using Brown & Levinson’s politeness strategies. It was found that positive politeness strategies were the most employed, followed with negative politeness strategies. The ELE PSTs also used bald-on-record strategies. However, they rarely used off-record strategies. This study showed that ELE PSTs used politeness strategies to maintain social relationships with the students, create supportive learning environment, and encourage students’ active participation.
