Abstract

Organizational objectives can be achieved maximally if supported by good performance from employees within the organization. To get good performance from employees, a structured and effective direction must be sought to move its employees to want to work more productively in accordance with the organization's stated goals, many factors that influence the performance of employees including intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence. This research was conducted with the aim of "To determine the effect of intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence both partially and simultaneously on employee performance". The method of determining the sample in this study uses Saturated Sampling method. While the analysis technique used is multiple linear regression statistical analysis techniques. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that: (1) Intellectual intelligence has a positive and partially significant effect on employee performance. (2) Emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect partially on employee performance. (3) Spiritual intelligence has a positive and partially significant effect on employee performance. (4) Intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is an evaluation that describes someone for feeling happy, or not happy, satisfied or dissatisfied at work. Therefore, to get employee job satisfaction, themanagement of the company must pay attention to factors that affect employee job satisfaction. This study aims to find out the communication, organizational culture, and physical work environment influencing employee job satisfaction. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression test. The data used is primary data with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The study population was all employees with a sample of 32 respondents. The results of this study indicate a positive influence of communication, organizational culture, and physical work environment on employee job satisfaction. Based on the results of the t test, the communication has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, the variable of organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction and the physical work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Based on the results of the F test, the communication variables, organizational culture and physical work environment have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

Bhineka Nusa Kauh Empowerment and Family Welfare Group (PKK) felt its existence and its benefits by the community members in the Banjar Bhineka Nusa Kauh environment in improving family welfare and overcoming problems that arose in the Banjar Bhineka Nusa Kauh environment. In addition to problems related to empowerment and family welfare, there are also problems in the social environment of the community in the Banjar Bhineka Nusa Kauh environment. As for these problems such as issues of cleanliness and environmental sustainability, a sense of solidarity and caring for others, productive skills that can help the economy of families and other citizens. Therefore it is deemed necessary to provide assistance to PKK Bhinneka Nusa Kauh in increasing the usability and productivity of PKK Bhineka Nusa Kauh members, especially problems in social life in order to create tolerance and togetherness. The priority solution to solve the problem through the implementation of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) is to carry out activities in ornamental plants and living kitchens, public speaking training, nutrition counseling and healthy food, entrepreneurship training, and mentoring to nursing homes. PKM is carried out by involving all members of the PKK group, STT, residents and all Banjar Bhineka Apparatuses in Nusa Kauh. Until all activities take place properly and the community is actively involved with enthusiasm because they really feel the good benefits of these activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi dan jenis hijauan beragam terhadap sifat fisik dan kecernaan ransum pada sapi Bali. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan ransum dengan 3 kelompok berat badan sebagai ulangan. Perlakuan ransum disusun berdasarkan bahan kering adalah: (A) rumput gajah 45% +  jerami padi 0%  +  gamal 15% + kaliandra 10% + konsentrat 30%; (B) rumput gajah 30% +  jerami padi 10% +  gamal 20% + kaliandra 10% + konsentrat 30%; (C) rumput gajah 15% + jerami padi 20% + gamal 25% + kaliandra 10% + konsentrat 30% dan (D) rumput gajah 0% + jerami padi 30% + gamal 30% + kaliandra 10% +  konsentrat 30%. Peubah yang diukur adalah sifat fisik dan kecernaan ransum. Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, sapi Bali yang diberi perlakuan D memiliki densitas tertinggi (P<0,05) yaitu 0,313 g/ml, KCBK dan KCPK tertinggi (P<0,05) masing-masing 67,78% dan 71,42% namun KCSK terendah (P<0,05) yaitu 49,34%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ransum D mampu meningkatkan densitas dan daya serap air serta meningkatkan KCBK dan KCPK ransum.

Abstract

Database of Bali heifer particularly on their nutrient digestibility, energy and nitrogen balance of various ration formulas on their growth performance were limited.  A randomized block design with four types rations of metabolizable energy (ME) and crude protein ratios, i.e. of 2,045.38 kcal ME/kg:12.06% (Treatment A), 2,103.57 kcal ME/kg:13.11% (Treatment B), 2,201.85 kcal ME/kg:13.97% (Treatment C) and 2297.60 kcal ME/kg:15.05% (Treatment D) were conducted to evaluate nutrient digestibility, energy and nitrogen retention of Bali heifers.  The rations consisted of concentrate, urea, molasses, king grass, coconut oil and vitamin-mineral mix.  Results showed that Treatment D improved significantly of the 7,814.34 kcal/d digestible energy, 49.87 g/d digestible nitrogen, 11,015.06 kcal/d energy intake, 423.53 g/d nitrogen intake, 67.76 kcal/d energy retention, 7.91 g/d nitrogen retention, 0.33 kg/d daily weight gain (ADG), (P<0.05).  In summary, ration for Bali heifer should contain at least 2,297.60 kcal ME/kg:15.05% crude protein for better average daily weight gain.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The preserving/processing eggs training and extension in Kelurahan Penatih Denpasar Timur, Kodya Denpasar, has been held on October 11th 2005. The aim of this activity is to improve the knowledge and the skill of breeders in order to increase their income. Remembered that the breeder society, especially poultry breeder, sold their eggs in a fresh condition and totally did not do preserving/processing. The methods used in this activity were the preserving/processing technique extension and practicing the way to produce it followed by its evaluation all at one. The result were the breeders knowledge about preserving/processing eggs is increasing, so does their skill and the eggs quality we received is satisfied enough.

Abstract

In order to fulfill the domestic meat requirements and reduce imports so government continually develop localbeef cattle based on their quantity and quality of meat. Among the local cattle in Indonesia, Bali cattle is the mostfavourite cattle (32.31%) considering on its meat quality. There were 12 calves used in this research with 100 kgof average body weight. The treatments were diet with 40% concentrate and 60% king grass (A); 45% concentrateand 55% king grass (B); 50% concentrate and 50% king grass (C); 55% concentrate and 45% king grass (D). Theexperiment was design in a completely randomized block design with four treatments and three replicates. Thevariables measured were rumen fermentation as of pH, NH3, total and pastial of VFA (acetic acid, propionic acidand butyric acid), microbial protein synthesis and protozoa populations. It showed that treatment D produce thehighest NH3 and total VFA, 14.66 mMol, and 165.38 mMol respectively compared to other treatments. Propionicacid was 27.87 mMol the highest in treatment D and 368.62 g/h/d microbial protein synthesis. It can be concludedthe higher proportion of concentrate in the bali heifer calves so the more energy supply, in this case, SPM availabilityfor the host animal is higher.

Abstract

The entry of Avian Influenza (AI) to Indonesia in 2003 gave a tremendously negative impact on poultrybusinesses. Biosecurity is one of the government efforts to protect the spread of infectious diseases to the farms.It gets a good response from all the stakeholders in the poultry industry. Although there are no Avian Influenzaoutbreaks anymore, control to the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) is still becoming a main priority incontrolling diseases in the poultry farms. This research was conducted to evaluate the sustainability of biosecurityimplementation in the broiler farms and mentored requirement to prevent AI outbreaks from occurring again.A survey was used to gain information on broiler famers at Selanbawak Village. The samples in this study wereall the farmers who were involved in the ACIAR project AH/2006/169. They had been trained and supervised toimplement biosecurity measures in their farms. The data obtained were descriptive-qualitatively analyzed usingpercentage approach based on the biosecurity implementation criteria. It was found that the biosecurity measuresimplemented by those farmers had not been maintained. Most of the farms were untidy; and rubbishes and busheswere scattered around the farms. The footbath was not properly used as sanitary equipment, and even some wereburied with cement.

Abstract

Penyediaan pakan berkesinambungan dan berkualitas sangat penting untuk meningkatkan produktivitasternak. Batang pisang yang tersedia melimpah dan murah dapat ditingkatkan daya gunanya sebagai sumberpakan berkualitas melalui teknologi silase dengan penambahan hijauan Clitoria ternatea. Penelitian inimengkombinasikan batang pisang dengan hijauan C. ternatea dibuat dalam bentuk selase complete feedmelalui penambahan pollar, molasis dan EM4 ke dalam empat perlakuan. Kontrol (perlakuan A): 65%batang pisang + 30% pollar + 5% (molasis + EM4); perlakuan B: 55% batang pisang + 10% C. ternatea+ 30% pollar + 5% (molasis + EM4); perlakuan C: 45% batang pisang + 20% C. ternatea + 30% pollar +5% (molasis + EM4); dan perlakuan D: 35% batang pisang + 30% C. ternatea + 30% pollar + 5% (molasis+ EM4). Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri atas tiga ulangan. Penelitian dilaksanakan untuk mendapatkankombinasi silase batang pisang dan hijauan C. ternatea yang terbaik melalui pengamatan kualitas fisik,sifat pisik, kandungan nutrien dan kecernaan secara in vitro. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakanAnova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kandungan nutrisi, kecernaan bahan kering danbahan organik serta penurunan komponen penghambat kecernaan secara in vitro. Kesimpulan penelitian iniadalah, penambahan C. ternatea dalam silase batang pisang sampai 30% menghasilkan kandungan bahanorganik, protein kasar, energi, kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik tertinggi dan kandungan seratkasar terendah. Abstract

Rumput laut dan gulma rumput laut memiliki potensi besar sebagai salah satu sumber feed supplementpada ternak ruminansia. Sebuah penelitian telah dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan pengaruhpemberian limbah lidah buaya dan rumput laut sebagai feed supplement terhadap komposisi tubuh danretensi nutrien sapi bali jantan. Percobaan menggunakan teknik ruang urea (urea dilution technique) terhadap20 ekor sapi bali jantan dengan berat berkisar antara 191-232 kg. Rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yangdigunakan terdiri atas 5 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok berat badan sebagai ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah:A (Jerami padi ad libitum + 2 kg konsentrat tanpa feed supplement), perlakuan B (Jerami padi ad libitum+ 2 kg konsentrat + 150 g feed supplement), perlakuan C (Jerami padi ad libitum + 2,5 kg konsentrat + 150g feed supplement), perlakuan D (Jerami padi ad libitum + 3 kg konsentrat + 150 g feed supplement), danperlakuan E (Jerami padi ad libitum + 3 kg konsentrat tanpa feed supplement). Peubah yang diukur kadar airtubuh (%), kadar protein tubuh (%), kadar lemak tubuh (%), retensi protein (g/e/h), retensi lemak (g/e/h),dan retensi energi (kkal/e/h). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian 150 g campuran limbah lidahbuaya dan rumput laut sebagai feed supplement pada sapi bali jantan memberikan hasil komposisi tubuhdan retensi nutrien terbaik pada pemberian konsentrat 2,5 kg. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian feedsupplement campuran lidah buaya dan rumput laut dapat memperbaiki kualitas ransum yang kurang baik.Kata kunci: feed supplement, lidah buaya, komposisi tubuh, rumput laut, sapi bali
